Found your red rose, in bedside book, It smelt of you, petals all shrunk, Held to my heart, I sobbed and shook, Thirsting for you, in love so drunk! Rose I gave you on your birthday, We kissed, we hugged, little to say, love in your eyes was shining through, Wish we knew what harsh fate would brew! In bedside book, it smelt of you, Found your red rose, petals all shrunk, I sobbed and shook, thirsting for you, In love so drunk, held to my heart! Rose will for ever stay with me, Next to heart, till my soul is free! Written 01/09/2020 1st placement Charonnet Poetry contest Sponsor Charles Messina

I'm not sure. I sent soup mail asking him about his example vs. the third stanza, requiring EFGH.
