Run away to find home
fingers tracing city streets
Concrete above, the Z train beneath my feet
found your heartbeat
between the city and the sea
where the boardwalk meets concrete streets
and a smile always greets
the city that never sleeps
following the streetlights to neon brights
Waiting at the bridge for you tonight.
To My Son, On Your Wedding Day
From the moment I first held you tight,
I knew you’d fill the world with light;
Through scraped-up knees and growing years,
We’ve shared laughter, defied fears.
Now here you stand, both proud and tall,
With love beside you, you’ve found it all;
A partner true, with heart so kind,
A bond so very deep, your souls aligned.
I’ve watched you grow, I’ve watched you strive,
And now you start a brand new life;
Though time has flown, one truth will stay,
My love for you, will never fade away.
Build your days on trust and grace,
Fill your home with warm embrace;
May laughter echo through your walls,
And joy be yours when evening falls.
So go, my son, walk hand in hand,
Together, strong, as love has planned;
And know, through every joy and test,
You’ve made your parents’ heart feel blessed.

Honeymoon joy
Embark

Love now into ever more.
To a very special couple
These words I'd like to day,
I want to wish you every happiness
On this, your wedding day
And may this special day of yours
Be filled with lots of love and laughter,
And all the days ahead of you
Becomes a happy ever after
You met so many years ago
And became both friends for life,
Now you're making it official
You'll become a husband and a wife
And when you journey to the future
You can travel hand in hand,
Because you pledged your lives together
With a golden wedding band
So, best wishes to the both of you
As you celebrate this day,
Here's hoping it turns out to be
So special in every way
My parents special wedding day
with beautiful flowers in May
I should not have been there
making grandparents swear
why did they want to name me Jay
Based upon an entry in the mid-19th Century autobiography of Presbyterian Theodore Clapp, who lived for several decades in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Of the many young brides who I’ve married,
None were more exquisite than her.
Her pleasant charm, and smile so merry,
Both made my old heart stir.
Her fiancé loved her deeply
And she cherished him like no other.
Her father gave her away happily,
In front of her joyful mother.
In the afternoon wedding her vows were said,
While a bouquet in hand she carried.
Their reception next was well-attended,
like many young couples that I have married.
A few hours later, she fell deathly ill.
Then suddenly, she no longer stirred.
Later that night, in her wedding dress still,
And with bouquet in hand, she was interred.
Deep within her family sepulcher
Remain four questions unanswered.
Why then? Why her?
What purpose was served?
And how does one assuage the ones who loved her?
For my newly wed friends. Blessings, love and light.

Every bride is beautiful on her wedding day...
She is beautiful because she radiates pure love from within
She is beautiful because she is seen for the beauty of her soul
She is beautiful because she is accepted as a beautiful being
Her husband adores and loves her
Her family adores and loves her
Her friends adore and love her
Her angels adore and love her
God adores and loves her
The Universe adores and loves her
In that moment on that day
She knows love
She is love
She is loved
And that love transforms everyone
Forever
Every bride is beautiful on her wedding day...
Because love is and will always be
The greatest power
For us all
Blessings to the bride
Blessings to the groom
Blessings to you all

Fly away my sweet butterfly,
it is time now to bid you good bye,
you always will be a part of me,
fly now to your own family tree.
memories freshen as time goes by,
some with a smile, some with a sigh,
as years roll on and weathers change,
I shall learn without you to manage.
spring will pour in new many flowers,
early mist and the morning showers,
Christmas then and the winter snow,
Warm Aprils and the Autumnal glow,
every leaf, every whiff of breeze,
would trigger your thoughts for a tease,
I shall hide my tears behind a smile,
for coming years and for a while,
till age puts some more grey on me,
shall let everything you left, just be,
so to feel your presence though away,
till you choose to visit me one day,
to freshen the moments that are lost,
to brighten the present with some past,
Fly away my sweet butterfly,
it is time now to say good bye,
you will always be a part of me,
and proud part of our family tree!!
To my daughter Divya on her wedding day
8/9th September 2022
On the first floor of a hotel in Cape Cod
A larger than average lady got on the elevator
She pressed floor number two
Immediately I blurted out “Number two???”
“You could have walked”
Her immediate response was
“What??? And lose a pound!”
My new wife first cringed
then breathed a big sigh of relief
Sometimes I blurt out stuff without thinking
VERY DANGEROUS!!!

Squirrel's wedding day
Toasting them with acorn wine
Two hearts intertwine.
Jan, the blissful bride,
dances down the giant tree.
Stands by Sam, her love.
Their hands and eyes meet.
declaring their nuptial vows.
Sam's speechless. "Married!"
Such silly thoughts, smiles
He looks at Jan, his sweet bride.
Life with you is home.
Down the aisle as the flower girls drew,
Carrying fresh flowers from flower garden,
The sun stroke the ground 'n' dried the dew,
The birds chirped melodiously as they flew,
It was the day Jane got married to Jayden.
The wedding was attended by many not few,
The gown was white 'n' the rings were golden,
Performances were done by a dance crew,
The cameras provided a wonderful clear view,
It was a little bit traditional and also modern.
There were meals, cakes, drinks and stew,
As she enjoyed her last day as a maiden,
Night drew but they weren't afraid of curfew,
Everybody danced till the tables were askew,
It was a celebration that you don't see often.

Today is your wedding and you will look your most beautiful.
He will turn around with tears because you are so special to him.
May love be the first and last thought of your day.
You will have struggles, but each struggle comes with a gift. These gifts may be at first hard to see at first, but they will make you stronger.
Your love and life will be transformed as you go through life hand in hand, wondering what is next because living life is more than your dreams.
May your milestones in life are those working together as a family.
May the only scars you see in life being in the hands from heaven, holding you up on your journey.

Lovely to look at, delightful to hold
Hand of my beloved close to my heart
Searching for affirmation in her eyes
Placing on her finger a band of gold
Hearing her say she will love me forever
Her eyes sparkling like precious jewels
Her lips hungering for the nuptial kiss
That seals our vows to live together
In love until death tears us asunder.

The tears in her eyes speak of untold happiness
Bubbling over from a full heart no words confess
The deepest reaches of her indescribable joy
Her wedding day of laces and blooms to enjoy.
Bubbling over from a full heart no words confess
As she takes the vows to love and cherish always
Her wedding day of laces and blooms to enjoy
Before she has never experienced lovelier days
As she takes the vows to love and cherish always
She kisses the lips of her handsome beloved,
Before she has never experienced lovelier days
So beautifully attired, veiled, and white gloved.
She kisses the lips of her handsome beloved
Sipping the wine and carefully cutting the cake,
So beautifully attired, veiled, and white gloved
Quickly thinks what a lovely couple they make.
Sipping the wine and carefully cutting the cake
The deepest reaches of her indescribable joy
Bubbling over from a full heart no words confess
The tears in her eyes speak of untold happiness.
