NICKELS AND DIMES

Senseless life
Value null
Homeless Man
Streets my home
Alone in roam
No Bed just a pavement in the corner
Passer by pennies dropped
Other times nickels and dimes
Life being bitter
My name I don’t even remember
Societies outcast
The unfortunate
A life that was once striving
Now not having
The forgotten
Family that turned its back
It’s beyond fact being reality
Weathered my own storms
Sunny days living in darkness
No one knows the trouble I am in
Tears that no longer fall
Words no longer expel
My own unbreakable chains
Despair moment
The street my education
Wearing clothes all I have
Sadness with no smiles
A homeless man stuck on still
Virtues no more
Just an image decorating the pavement
The fortune of nickels and dimes
Dreadful story
There you have it
Homeless man morse.

Premium Member Because I Care

I can pick up the phone and call friends from kindergarten
Some answer, others don’t
Most answer

Because I have nerve and verve and I want to be friends
and we have a history
and we love to share it

I am a listener
Sometimes I say “uh-huh” and “hmmmm” for an hour on the phone
While I paint and my friends ramble on and on

Some of the stories I have heard nine thousand times
I laugh like I have never heard them before
People love to be approved of, admired and listened to

I have friendships all over the place
because I care about people
and I let them know it.

Sandra

Orange slices in a plastic baggie
44 oz of a slushie daily
Short hair that never changed
butt cheeks hanging over the seat
We had nothing in common
yet Her's was the first Christmas card every year
She was married
no children
She'd look at me like I was speaking another language
when I spoke
She farted once
and looked at me like I did it
Her name was Sandra
but went by Sandy
Never saw her in a dress or dressed up
It was always comfort clothes
She had cancer
then it went away
I don't remember asking her about it
About how she's doing
I never thought I'd miss her
but I do.

Open heart

Open heart
I heard the bell of Healing
I followed the calls of my stars
Now my soul is blessed with nature
So kindly accept the songs of my soul
Am not always writing to be perfect
But respect my pen when it bleeds
Cos I heard the bell of healing
I followed the calls of my star
And now am a product of nature
Like it was suppose to be hopefully
So my friends world wide kindly
Accept the songs of my soul with an
Open heart

Open heart
Am sorry but I believe in God
Yes I believe in an energy beyond me
I know how it feels when revelation
Create a new vision
Words actions motivations changes
For higher or lower level
So when the bell of healing rings
I could hear the voice of nature calling
I followed my stars
now my soul is blessed with the songs of my soul
Please kindly relate with me with an
open heart

My Name Is

My name is Loneliness, a mask I wear,
Faces surround me, but none see my care.
I surround myself with fleeting ties,
Acquaintances who hear my words, not my sighs.

My name is Fatigue, a weight I bear,
Work my only solace, a reason to rise, a purpose to share.
Without it, I'm lost in a haze,
Dragging hours like chains, in endless days.

My name is Disappointment, a shadow cast,
Each effort a fresh wound, each try a forecast.
What's the point of striving when the end is known?
Regret, a familiar ache, a sorrow grown.

My name is Misery, a shadow I carried,
etched into my bones by all the pains I have married.
I drown in fleeting comforts, in amber tides,
where sorrow ebbs and numbs what grief provides.
Each wound has shaped me, carved me, made me whole,
yet still the ache lingers, so I sip for solace.

My name could be Sadness, a constant guest,
Tears fall like autumn rain, chilling my rest.
Yet in this sorrow, I find a strange reprieve,
A fragile pulse that persists, a heartbeat I retrieve.

A Choice of Worlds

Never go there.

Where dark has captured daylight.

Never go there.

Where there is no singing of birds.

Never go there.

Where there is no pulse of the heart.

Never go there.

Where there are not any interactions of love.

Go there, where there is much daylight.

Where it is filled with songs of birds.

Any kind of songs of the world.

A melodious song can bring happiness in love.

And can relieve the boringness of life.

Go there, where it is filled with intimacy.

MY FRIEND

My friend is sad and so am I
For different reasons I ask Him, ‘why?’
He looks at me neither bold nor blue.
A light glows pink in merry hue.

She called me up and poured her mind
I felt the same, of a different kind.
When spirit’s measure stretched at length
I woke up to find, I’ve lost all strength.
She has been trying to dry out her tears
While I here, myself was driving my fears.
No one to share my feelings drawn
I gathered strength to fill her morn.
With laughter and light she retired to bed
I worked the night, was awake instead.
Today it was told it’s not required
I had my share of the pain I shared.

Then reasoned out ‘was it all meant
To surrender my wisdom or my strength?’.
He looked at me and waited long-------
Till I blew my breath of scorn
Was that how You cleaned my eyes?
Was it healthy for the spirit to rise?

My friend’s laughter at the end of the call
Made me realize once and for all
My hard work somewhere has paid me well
I have reasons for love to dwell.

Love for Him came naturally, through,
I looked at Him and felt so blue-----
He could have gone but He never did.
He had to show me my greatest need.

LOVE SHADOWS

My love has shadows, they are dark like a moon, they turn day by day, leaving their mark.
My love has never shown me the dark side, but I feel it from afar.
Like a calendar every moment in time has stories it tells.
Stories of love and hate, the thin veil between time and fate.
Like the moon wants the day and the sun burns the dark away, my love has the struggles with the shadows each day.
My love is so sweet, like the berries on the vine, they fill me with sweet divine.
My love also has a shadow, that is like the lion, and will roar, when needed.
My love is strong and works for good, not giving into the evil doers.
Life has shadows, we all can see and feel, so pray and love each day.
Lifting prayers to God, today and always.

Adam’s Ale

Adam’s Ale
—the old name for water, the first drink, the simplest thirst.

Bougainvillea, thorn-armored bloom,
plankton drifting—algae, crustaceans—
a hidden kingdom in an inland basin,
non-oceanic water breathing its own tides.

I splash my face in the reservoir,
Adam’s ale cooling my skin,
while light bends and scatters—
I am refracted,
a prism made of flesh and ache,
splintering into the many rays of sun.

I sit beneath an arboreal sky,
ceiling woven from foliage and verdure,
cathedral of green where shadows
keep their soft liturgy.

Saudade gnaws the marrow of light,
and my sunlit heart caves inward.
I hunger for your presence,
for the echo of your breath in the leaves.

If the day could linger—
just one more turn of the earth—
I would not ask for forever.

But even plankton drift toward dark,
their glow extinguished in the basin’s hush;
so too my heart, without your light.
