My Son's Wedding Day

September sixteenth, wedding change of gears.
I wait my turn an usher by my side.
Surprise! my arm, the groom now commandeers.
Revised rehearsal plan requests his bride,
a special treat for mom moves me to tears.

remembrance of 22 years ago, my son
escorts me to my seat at his wedding.

Thank you, Andrea, for the lovely comment and for the placement in your contest. September is full of many pleasant memories to balance the one we would all like to forget in 2001. His wedding was 2000.
