Notes About The Poem

Squirrel's Wedding Day

***

                                     Squirrel's wedding day
                              Toasting them with acorn wine
                                  Two hearts intertwine.

                                     Jan, the blissful bride,
                                 dances down the giant tree.
                                   Stands by Sam, her love.

                                 Their hands and eyes meet.
                                  declaring their nuptial vows.
                                 Sam's speechless. "Married!"

                                  Such silly thoughts, smiles
He looks at Jan, his sweet bride.
                                    Life with you is home.

Such an enjoyable read, Debra. The squirrels were so cute, all dressed up for their wedding. I like it when poets and poetesses write more than one verse in their Haikus. Job well done, lots of fun. Smiles ~ Blessings, Bill

Probably, being squirrels, they will live happily ever after! I doubt if they will have many squarrels. ~ This was an entertaining offering, Debra. ~ Regards // paul

Your comments are very kind, Valsa. You missed the wedding reception. The squirrels were flying through the tree tops after drinking all of the acorn wine. L0L Thanks, Valsa. It's always a pleasure to talk to you, my friend. Debra
