Good Friday Poems | Examples

Chain Letters as Desire

Instant the command
As decisions
In labouring the fields
A civil war of family's avoiding
Yet the enactments mimic
As bond as surety
In financing burdens
One wishes not to carry
Carriage as stable
Nightingales lost fables
Ferry in twist
Smirking gentle and smits

To the good Friday of Ireland

FREE THE UNBORN FROM DEATH

End the death of the unborn, and protect them from receiving any harm.
Made by choice and killed by force.
We should all remember that we were once in that spot.
Love and kindness should be given to the unborn until they are born.
No harm or death should be given to someone who has never even been given the chance to live.
Stop teaching death to the unborn, declare them a gift from God.
Made in care with love and spirit, let them grow freely without any harm.

Premium Member What's Good About Good Friday

To mortal minds, there is no way
that what took place on that dark day
when someone good in every way,
was crucified by hands of clay
could be thought good in any way.

God’s works are good in every way
 was echoed each creation day.
Man formed from clay on the sixth day
was very good in every way
yes, this is what the Bible says.

Mankind became the Devil’s prey
when Adam sinned that fateful day
But when Christ died on that dark day
His life the price for sin did pay
For on Him, mankind's sins were laid.

Good Friday was a special day
God ransomed rebels gone astray.
He showed His love for men that day
In a strange, unexpected way
So, sinful man can to Him pray.

Make today your salvation day
when you with millions join and say,
‘Lord, take my life, hold o’er it sway,
lead me along the narrow way
that leads unto The Better Day.’

Premium Member The Reason We Praise

He asked, in Gethsemane, if there's another way
If sin can be recompensed without His blood to pay
But silence answered as He prayed
The world held its tongue, as if to say
"There is no other way."

The narrow road that stretched ahead
Was paved by the ugly sting of death
That drew His blood at every tread
And thorns of sin, and guilt, and dread
He took it all upon His head

We all have blemishes we try to hide
Cruel vices that cannot be justified
A hurtful thought, or word, or deed
Virtues stained by pride and greed
These, all of us must guilty plead
But Justice calls to lay by His side
Redeemed by the blood of the crucified

He bore our shame to give us grace
And crown us victors of the race
Now I can’t help but stand amazed
He’s filled my heart, full of His praise

after the suffering

opposite
of you
dying peace
worth more pain and sacrifice
unlearning how i was
fighting the illusion
of meaning
devout, submission
to the selfish
leaves
i have loved

Premium Member My Sweet Lord!

How does the hymner sing of God's measureless love through quadruplets-
Fine craftsman of fields, flowers, fountains of water, mountains, and sun-
Who practiced self-denial, till blood sweat, for the honor of thieves
apportioning second chances like sweet nectar while He came undone?

Why does the scribe pen his worship to the Universal Maker,
Compiling pages of effusive love notes for an unseen King?
Unobserved by open eyes but recognized by insightful hearts
Heeding courtship calls from Christ, Saviour sweet, at the threshold tapping.

Where does the artist conceive sweet lines, hues that tell wondrous tales-
delicate replicas of the Creator, thoughts color their veins-
as prismatic as rainbows post turbulence and wuthering days,
so silver linings laid on canvas sprinkle joy for hearts to sail?

When do dancers slip from guarded grace to ungirded ecstasy?
In the sweet echoes of a recent heartbeat or laughing babies,
bustling birdy melodies auguring spring's blessed revival?
I shall sharpen my grand jetés for Jesus' triumphant arrival.

Hellfire Whispers

[Verse 1]
Mad as thunder, shadows dance,
Kisses sharp like thorns of chance,
Blood like blackberry wine drips slow,
Fallen angel, your secrets glow.

[Chorus]
Whispers smoke on quartz ash night,
Orange blossoms in devil's sight,
With white roses, honeysuckle dreams,
Claim my soul with a gaze that gleams.

[Verse 2]
Right hand woman, the bargain’s made,
Sipping tea on lava laid,
Hellfire pen to seal the fate,
A tear’s descent, such sweet estate.

[Chorus]
Whispers smoke on quartz ash night,
Orange blossoms in devil's sight,
With white roses, honeysuckle dreams,
Claim my soul with a gaze that gleams.

[Bridge]
Twinkle in his eye, fate is tight,
Make the deal beneath the starlit light,
Newest emoji, a seal so rare,
In this dance, the world laid bare.

[Outro]
Mad as thunder, love’s sweet strife,
In hell's embrace, we forge our life.

And the Cross
Crying in the cruel wind
And they didn’t care
While the Truth
Waited
Silent
For the third day.

Morning Poem No One

It will be a cloudy semi cool day
No hot sun to broil you today
Holocaust Harris is the VP ‘s new name
She’s a Zionista, she ain’t ashamed
Love the alliteration of that name
Will she have blood on her hands, will she feel
shame?
I saw workmen carrying moving bins
The bins being empty-the day begins
I smelled from dirty garbage bags
These bags were hygienic and tied
I tasted my all dressed tuna sandwich
It makes my day
Looking at the blue steel bin filled to the brim
I think I feel ok today
 Second thought I have a queasy stomach,ugh
I see paintings on the wall, big and small
I tasted my coffee. It was not to bad at all
Biden supports women rights today
Long ago he said the opposite I say
I want the book The Strategic Poet

His wife sang so bad, he prayed god to make him deaf,
He said “oh God, or let her elope with my chef,
if she goes i will be so glad,
the chef cooks good shall miss him bad,
forgive! if I pray with words beginning with F!

He designed the sky, the night, the stars so bright.
His hand, perfectly proficient, stilled the seas,
Promised sweet peace, stimulated hopes and dreams,
Believing, singing so all the world would soon see,
His hand, who perfectly planned…
His hand, in everything – skilled in all life might demand.

April showers

April showers

Drip drip drop,

Little April Showers,

Falling from the clouds,

The rain drops down

Each drip and drop sounds

Different as it hits the grounds

Natures musical melody

It's healing harmony

Pittering and pattering,

Splishing and spitting,

Black clouds are forming,

It's the sky's final warning,

Before the heavens dawning,

And then the rain comes pouring,

Crashing and clashing,

Splashing and sploshing

It's time to dig up some recruits,

Your wellie boot troops,

Raincoat is armed for any puddlish pursuits Umbrella up, stand and salute.

Drip drop,

Drip drip drop,

Drip drop drip drip drop,

Little April shower raindrops.
