He tangoed into my life,
black eyes flash-bang exploding,
proffering his red-rose lips,
sparking fiery lust.

Wedding wines - rather champagne shines
and bubbly breakout of blushing bride.
Groom with giant heart, gracious, grateful - grips
her hand with his handsome wholeness. Helps
his lovely lady into limousine, longing for her lips.
Laps leaping, longing, leaving the crowd’s “so long!”
Cans chiming cheers. Crowd chuckles at car’s rear.
“Honeymoon here we come!” Coreen casts a shameless
glance at Glen. His green anticipation, Gable-debonair.
Goosebumps and gorgeous view - grand peaks
of her bosom buddies, brimming with lace and brouhaha.
His eyes - riveting, reveling, robust, ruddy and willing.
~
Throbbing thirst, thistles ‘neath terrycloth, while he waits.
Anticipation hurts - artfully, agonizingly. Her appearance
in nascent negligée, nearly naughty, nearly a no-no,
but not, for they’ve tied the knot and into a knot they go.
Get’m tiger! Tongues tangoed, trip to Timbuktu, tipsy
and top-see and no toodaloo - a forever frou-frou.
Silk surrender, sliding, suspend her, satisfaction in space.
Stirring, sipping, inhabiting each other, sensational and sweet.

It was summer and I was too young to ever have been in love
I heard a Disney-like song that intrigued me.
I listened to it over and over again.
It was charming and uplifting in a whimsical way
with chirpy joyful sounds of a synthesizer in the background.
As candlelight flames would dance on through the evening
I’d imagine the jitterbug and shimmy
as they whirled and they twirled
and they tangoed ~ a couple so happy to be in love
Floating like the heavens above.
And it made me wonder about being in love
and about someday kissing someone who would tickle my fancy.
I knew I was on the verge of growing up, I had my life ahead of me
and how undoubtedly those kisses would lead to my becoming a missus.
Good or bad. I wondered about my future listening to Muskrat Love.

She rubbed him up the right way,
made him moo like an oboe,
piped him up high like a piccolo.
She was finger food for his body.
Post the passion dance
his heart began to tick like a time-bomb.
His blood tangoed in the dark,
looped the loop like a bi-plane.
Then he went off
in the middle of the night, alone.
Called her in the morning, hands shaking
from after-tremors:
Begged her to do that thing
that she did to him, that move
that made his libido tremolo like a fat lady.
Her voice was cool, distant,
she complained that her bed had collapsed,
that her cat was clinging to the ceiling
and would not come down,
so he could just keep
his 'big bang' to himself.
Later he went nuclear.

New love – white hot and ravenous,
gasping air as reason struggles.
Oh – ardor of flambé;
sweet still, in flame’s repose.
Though a dance once tangoed - waltzes
…just a caress, old embers spark.

Warm winds tangoed with the cottonwood trees,
And butterflies were swirling on the breeze,
Here there and everywhere, on strange journeys,
The meadows full of color, and sweet memories!
The golden summer seemed to pause in appreciation,
As the dance with breezy blooms caused sensation.
They soon twirled over my head in joyous rotation,
Later yielding again, to exotic bloom temptation!

The day was white with cold
It slipped from heavens grasp
And tangoed with the wind
As it fell happily down
Unique in its perfection
A falling star
Borne in freezing sky
Coming to meet me in person
Wrapped in its beauty
I tried to grab it
Hold it close and make it mine
I watched the world melt in my hand

He once met a girl named Divestment,
She once heard a boy name Detachment,
they tangoed as two
and tangled til blue,
Then bore a misery child of deportment
divisioned DePartment.
S/he once met a god for Attaching
and heard herself named for Reproaching,
they tangoed as two
then tangled til through,
Then bore a hope for encroaching
healthy YangYinning
There once was a feminist
gorgeously named for Courageous
who met a patriarch named Curious,
they tangoed as two
then tangled, tis true,
Creating compassions less Furious.

You took me to the love restaurant!
A shimmering candlelit table for two,
With tufted velvet chairs,
Oh,mon cherie, I loved being here!
I cannot remember what we ate!
The raindrops like shades being
Embellished by lights of the cars,
Painting your face with bursting stars.
Magically,sensualluy....alone together.
Our feet, shoeless, Argentine tangoed,
Beneath those secret folds, shamelessly.
Our hearts already conjoined...
Rhythmically, for all of celestial !time

Melancholy days is all I see,
sadness has consumed me.
The light is has disappeared,
I dwell in nothing but grief.
living has become a routine.
Today I roam without direction,
I have no purpose I just exist.
when you left me my heart broke.
I died a little bit, it hurts to go on,
I see you walking away everyday.
I miss my dance partner very much,
as we tangoed between the sheets;
every day and night, I crave you.
When you left, I died a little inside.
I'm about to flat line, please save me.
Your kiss can cure my broken heart.
without you I die a little each second.
and I'm just a shell of my former self.

The Gilded Leaves of Autumn Sigh
As the gilded leaves of Autumn sigh,
I’m haunted by the shadow of a long-lost love.
I’ll always remember the soft song of a summer breeze…
from golden days when we were carefree butterflies.
I’m haunted by the shadow of a long-lost love…
memories of our first kiss still leave me breathless,
from golden days when we were carefree butterflies;
when our silhouettes tangoed in moonlight’s silvery embrace.
Memories of our first kiss still leave me breathless!
I was enchanted by soft caresses and sparkling red wine.
When our silhouettes tangoed in moonlight’s silvery embrace,
I believed stars would shine until the end of time.
I was enchanted by soft caresses and sparkling red wine…
enthralled as you held me tenderly in your arms.
I believed stars would shine until the end of time;
when I thought you would be forever mine.
Enthralled as you held me tenderly in your arms,
I’ll always remember the soft song of a summer breeze,
when I thought you would be forever mine…
as the gilded leaves of Autumn sigh.

You dear are my fascination
Exceeding my expectation
Thrilling me making my heart race
There’s something in the way you move
I love how you sway to my groove
With every step you match my pace
Waltz, rumba, salsa or tango
More delicious than a mango
Sexy wearing leather or lace
My fingers explore every line
More intoxicating than wine
The allure began with the chase
Yes it’s true you played hard to get
Not looking at me when we met
I was enamoured by your style
Your easy understated way
Tapping as the music would play
and a subtle hint of a smile
Eventually you took my hand
Moving to the sound of the band
Breathtaking moments last a while
In my arms you are meant to be
Being with you makes me feel free
floating above the earth a mile
your movement is a form of art
Everything is more colourful
since you tangoed into my heart

Burlap and satin went to the dance
It was held at the old Fisher Barn
Burlap wore a fine Gunny sack
Adorned with a drawstring of yarn
Satin sported a shimmery weave
Trimmed with buttons of gold
The glossy attire was flawless
And was quite a sight to behold
Burlap took satin by the hand
And together they started to dance
When a stray strand of jute, caught satin’s suit
Burlap did not stand a chance.
Apologies followed
But the damage was done
Satins glossy ensemble
Had a permanent run.
Their dance quickly ended
Burlap was not Satins ilk
Burlap tangoed with Hemp
Satin went home with silk.
The moral of the story
And a material fact
Not all fabrics blend
Despite how they act

Everything boils down
To chaotic nonsense, or
So it is written.
Einstein and Bohr tangoed
On tiptoes over
Unsavory uncertainty
“Why would God play dice?!”
Buddha already knew
Though, he
Looked on laughing
“When you are done,
Come and find me”

They elude me now ...words
Drinking befits a drowning man possessed
Swimming off this broken page
Baton winning in a relay race
I breached the ribbon sliced with chest
Joy! I gasped
Grown tired of my own riddles
Those halting jagged lines
Conversely I committed
So disrespectful of my crimes
In dispatchment utter lunacy
Forgiveness once again!
Ive come to claim my lost respect
My place so quick forgotten was
So Zeroed out of ten
Twelve steps from cursed enslavement
Danced to music uncontained
Toi-toi in lone detachment
Side stepping their allure
And tangoed with enticement
And cha-cha'd with no cure
Then dropping over hurdles
Burning through those barricades
All over all these obstacles
So help me God I try to change
No longer need prescription
Still sometimes do I crave
Unshackled is your prisoner
Dispossession freed this slave
There is something about that -ism
A mystery by name
Other than recovery
Benign this deathly game
Be it known that happy healing
Doubles, behind the curtains of shame
