I'M About To Flat Line- I Died a Litte Inside Contest

Melancholy days is all I see,
sadness has consumed me.
The light is has disappeared,
I dwell in nothing but grief.
living has become a routine.
Today I roam without direction,
I have no purpose I just exist.
when you left me my heart broke.
I died a little bit, it hurts to go on,
I see you walking away everyday.
I miss my dance partner very much,
as we tangoed between the sheets;
every day and night, I crave you.
When you left, I died a little inside.
I'm about to flat line, please save me.
Your kiss can cure my broken heart.
without you I die a little each second.
and I'm just a shell of my former self.

Alexis, oh such an emotional write. I felt like when my husband died, I guess I still do ~

Emotions can seem to flat line when a loving relationship ends, Alexis. The longing comes through so well in your poem! Congratulations on your well-earned win. Hugs, Carolyn

This is incredibly well penned; I hung on every word; feeling the sorrow and pain. It should do well in the contest; best of luck.

Alexis, this sounds like something you have truly gone through, and it sounds awful! The sad feelings ooze into the reader, waking up other sad feelings. Nicely done, for this is a convincing poem indeed for Silent One's contest.
