The act of kindness

The power of kindness
Is a wondrous thing
When genuinely given
It makes one's heart sing

The power it holds
More precious than most
Is good for the receiver
And good for the host

Kindness can be shown
In actions and word
From the soft brush of hand
To feelings of being heard

Kindness is love
In the darkest of times
Lifting spirits aloft
Through the whimsy of rhymes

Premium Member Simple Pleasures

Simple pleasures
Like all the rest
Will come and go
But without stress

Since they simply
Fade in due course
Without grasping
Can hold no force

To keep us bound
In habits strong
With mind confused
By right or wrong

For what has been
Or soon may be
Just falling leaves
From every tree

Since easy come
And easy go
This easy wind
Our troubles blow

To bring us here
And leave us now
This sacred space
Of nameless Tao

Premium Member ONE SIMPLE RECIPE FOR LOVE

From the moment their life together originated
the recipe for their love was never complicated.

Through all their years together…
whatever they underwent…
the recipe they followed
had one main ingredient.

Whenever she felt she was falling…
those times she was too sad to laugh or sing…
he would put her on his shoulders
and share with her…his wings.

And he would whisper to her gently…
“We’ll get through this…I know we can.”
and she was happy not knowing where her wings ended
and…where his began

And whenever he felt he was falling…
when he thought he could no longer swim..
she would put him on her shoulders
and share her wings with him.

And she would whisper to him gently…
“We’ll get through this…I know we can.”
and he was happy now knowing where his wings ended
and…where hers began.

This one ingredient made the life they created…
peaceful, safe, enjoyable…and fun…
It’s amazing how we find our favorite recipes in life
are often the least complicated…
the simplest ones.

Life’s Simple Pleasures

Life’s simple pleasures—
all that makes it beautiful.
Loads of love and laughter we can’t measure,
life’s simple pleasures.

Friends, food, and all that comes in leisure,
echoing from childhood
through the youthful years
and far beyond.

Life’s simple pleasures—
the quiet moments,
the soft reminders,
the small joys stitched between the days.

Life’s simple pleasures—
all that makes it beautiful.

Peace demands everyone
Violence, only one
But a single choice - to forgive, to hope, to love -
Can start with one
And spread to everyone

Premium Member All Is Truth -

Wisdom is providing Truth
with the meaning of truth...
What is Truth...
Truth is that which must Be,
it is impossible for Truth
to be anything other than It is...
Is there anything
that is not what it is...
Is there anything that is Not...
So there is nothing that is Not,
all that is, is Truth...
Has Truth ever not been the Truth...
Has there ever been anything that did not exist...
Did I exist before my birth...
You were born from Truth,
before Truth had an explanation,
and after Truth consumed Itself
for your question to have a voice...

If anyone believes everything they hear they are very naive
but there are many things in this world people don’t believe.

Simple as I Portray Complexity

Simply to put text that we cannot cover anything complex
There was a simplified version of every object-- an annex
The loss of everything to put it understandable; loosing context
Was like cutting all of the trees just to portray land like Lorax

Though, where we put things behind the bars is just the manifesto
Everything could be described out and reasoned with a memo
I was warned by Spinoza, that not everything fits out and can be a reductio
So, would a man be reasoning out of everything killing complexity would be a maestro

A virtuoso indeed, to be smart that it leaps every precautionary never stumbled
Wish I was that man to hide complexity, to assign simplicity-- oversimplified
But, I would lose the essence of dopamine in searching question categorized
As I would never understand if short text means something to unconcealed

Premium Member The Honesty of Dogs

Dogs are honest.
In other words they don’t lie.
And so you can learn a lot from them.
Humans on the other hand
Are great deceivers and disseminators
In the cause of self interest.
Dogs like self interest too of course
But it’s always a lot more obvious and simple.

Humans more often than not couch
Their self interest in kindness.
There’s a big difference there you know
Honesty being simply what it is
And kindness being up for question
And interpretation,
And so way more superficial.

I like kindness, in fact I habitually do it,
But I like honesty more.
And that’s why I tend to love and trust dogs
More than most of humanity.
Maybe that’s a sad state of affairs
But I don’t think I’m alone.

Premium Member On Growing Old

The past keeps changing fast, the future dies
Unable to fulfil its obligations
The present loses threads of tangled ties
Days pass detached in life's perpetual vacations
Inside and out, you are neither led, nor free
But wait a minute, hasn't it always been like this?
I bet it’s just your way of things to see
Time passes, but that's no big news, at least
You have become a bit less different from your shadow
The lawn you mowed looks greener than expected
Under the bridge the water runs a bit too shallow
As you grow old, by simple things you’re more affected.

               Boys To Men

Of twenty-one years, the world
A boy's path becomes a man's
He stands at a new threshold
The future is his to forge
With a strong and knowing mind
He takes the first adult step
Leaving boyhood behind him

                   Girls to Women

At the door of her new age
She leaves her youth far behind
A woman steps out to meet
Her world where she'll make dreams bloom
Future's hers to shape anew
With courage met every day
Boundless capability

            Neutral to Potential

To your new, twenty-first year
The past two decades recede
The world is a blank canvas
Your own vibrant path unfurls
Embrace what you will become
With heart and a broader life
The future is yours to shape
