Mild Poems

Middling Mild

Ducks are up in the air,
it is early - too much
a middling.
Nature lures,
leads us on,
the weather is wrong.

Icy licked stems
are surprised.

Defrosting ants and marmots
patch and mend,
loggers lean on buzz saws.

People take pause,
store bobble hats
and puffer jackets.

Today, to the contrary
the snow is heavy,

any hint of avian romance
is indefinitely delayed.

All for the price of a dozen eggs,
America stands on shaky legs.
Globally, the claim is heard ~
"The US ~ laughingstock of the world,"
as daily, we star in our very own theater of the absurd.
Said the lion to the lioness,
"You know what, dear Tess.
We need to send our cubs to college
so they can acquire the modicum

Wherever Lord

Wherever You are living God
I want to live with You
Whenever You call to me
I'll come running straight to You
Wherever You are preaching
I'm receiving Your great love
Because You are my Savior
All day long I want to be Your child
Like baby Jesus in the manger
He slept there meek and so mild
Guide me along life's path
Never may I

In Mild Summer Night

Summer Mild Night
Relax let the breeze of this mild summer night touch your skin,
Close your eyes,
Open your heart and mind
For a time! you make its long
Take deep long breath.
Open your eyes,
To look attentively at the stars in the sky
If it was cloudy, try again.

Malcolm seemed nice

Young Malcolm was meek, rarely riled,
asking for korma, quite mild,
they all thought him nice,
until ordering rice,
that was where Malcolm went wild.

The Meek

My poem "The meek/humble"

                 THE MEEK
Oh, praise be to the meek and mild,
Whose calm spirit humbly compiled,
A life lived with grace and care,
Deserving of admiration and prayer.

They stand tall

No Frigid Days, Only Mild Days

Some forests never fear the fury of March bending a tree,
their Redwoods and Giant Sequoias provide good shelter
from winds and storms that occasionally begin at sea;
in this woodland, the wood thrush and the blue warbler
have made their home and they're happy to see a wanderer...
when night descends all sounds are muffled by the loud cooing
of

Dastardly the Deviant Demon

Dastardly the deviant demon
has been depressed and despondent.
Despite that, downstairs in his dank dungeon,
he decisively decided,
to devise a despicable design.

Departing from his dreary and dingy dwelling
with death and destruction drifting
through his deformed dome,
Dastardly drudged into the dire
decaying desert during the dismal day.

The determined and dangerously daring
Dastardly discovered the darling

Be Mild To Every Child

Stuff never children with lots of details,
Enough is done if we teach the basics,

Provoke in them a desire to learn,
Yoke them never like treating a bull,

Give them adequate time to learn,
Believe that they will surely learn,

Quantity mustn't be given value,
Quality alone must be considered,

Treat them kindly via a soft approach,
Greet them each time with a

Mild Obsurity

Mild obscurity

At the local supermarket, a woman not a day over seventy-five
asked me where she could find unsalted butter spoke
with an American accent.
What do I know, perhaps, she was related to the Kennedys?
By the butter- shelf we stood, there was a spark between us
like the Ronson-lighter I once bought in Liverpool, a

Upcoming Mild Temperatures Will Quickly Melt Snow

I looked outside the bedroom window
here at B44 Highland Manor Apartments
today March 13th, 2022 low and behold
took stock of soundless grounded sideshow.

Barenaked lady, i.e. mother earth
partially sloughed off
excess weight around her girth
her downy soft negligee.

Where once ground
enshrouded in lily white
courtesy albedo effect nature
evinced twilight
no matter the
