When they'd no bread
Due to her callousness,
Improvisational
French mob decided then

Skin colour is icing on a cake
That needed some love to make and bake
If not to your taste
Please don't let it waste
Someone will love it, for Heaven's sake!
If we take a slice of cake
And cut it into pieces
Share the portions all around
To people of all species
This could unite the World
Teaching us to care and share
Before long if we obey this rule
The whole cake will be there
Happiness is built so like
a cake we bake, giving joy
to taste the breadth of life. The recipe
begins with one filled cup of resilience
to keep it all together. Next, place two
cups of cheery acceptance
loving yourself, as you are.
Then, sprinkle in two equal cups of your
strong, deep-down appreciation- to drink
in the beauty of life. Now, add two cups
of guidance to help pursue
the notable goals you seek.
Then, three cupfuls of balanced emotions
for all life's changing whirlwind of events.
Next, blend in three cups of relationships
full of family and friends,
of all young and old alike.
Whip in eight cups of magnanimous love
to feed acts of kindness- concern for all.
Last, stir in twelve cups of solid purpose.
Bake for a better lifetime;
notice the happiness rise!
I want a taste
Of the piece of cake
But the frosting now dry logged
Left the top off now the flavors gone
Threw the remains in the washing machine with bleach
Made a malted shake when looking at my blurred image

I'm sipping a cup of warm tea while I read, and
it occurs to me how simple and good some
things can be without a convolution of extra
ingredients supposedly to make it “better,”
which kind of says something about life, too,
but then it's time for dinner and afterward
I'm eating a small piece of cake for dessert
and I'm slowly submerging myself in the
sweetness of its frosting and I remember
a time long ago in Las Vegas when you were
only four months old and I gave you some of
my soda, your first taste of sugar,
and how your face lit up,
and the simpleness of your smile,
and how that smile never left you,
and I'm thinking, Yep, that was a good day.
Fat fat fat
That's all I can hear in my head
Your one little comment
That you thought nothing about
Has become my all consuming nightmare
Every thought in my mind
Every feeling I have inside
Reminds me
Repeating like a broken record
Fat fat fat
You are so careless and petty with your words
Throwing insults around for entertainment
Without a care or regard for the consequences you cause others
You make a light hearted joke
Making yourself laugh
Not even caring to notice the other person
Falling apart
Dying inside
Feeling FAT FAT FAT

10 Pieces of candle light
25 Heartbeats
2 Holding hands
12 Passion flowers
Sprinklea few more kisses
Slowly blend with half litre
of joyful tears
Stir with Cupids arrow until
of a beautiful consistancy
Pinch of baking powder
just to get he rise
Cook in the perfect ambience
Tis non fattening, but eat in
moderation, beware of the
consequences

Looks good but really it ain't...

till you cant take it anymore.
When teacher asked what exasperation meant,
I thought that was so easy, a piece of cake,
but that was a presumptuous mistake;
I'm still unconvinced and quite dissatisfied
after looking it up in thick dictionaries
for the sense it's supposed to make;
I found out lately it's simply how you'd feel
when you want to swat a fly in exchange
for something too difficult to take;
the sly fly won't budge for it's happily perched
upon a red, luscious cherry right there
at the center of your birthday cake !
