Notes About The Poem

August-27-2026

A Minimalist

I don’t dare to dream beyond what I can do
It is foolish, craving to capture everything within view.
The world around is wondrously wide, a canvas vast
The more we try to grab, the more into agitation we’re cast.

Keep away from herculean schemes for tomorrow
Instead give today your best for a brighter morrow.
Focus on feasible things, let go, what’s beyond.
Take every step with caution, to simple needs respond.

Of course, be practical and contend in all things. A world of beauty experience in single blossom. God will control the garden loyally. I have faith.

So much wisdom oozes from your wise quill my dear sweet Valsa, I especially love the lines “The world around is wondrously wide, a canvas vast The more we try to grab, the more into agitation we’re cast.” I want many to read this and reflect and grasp what Youv conveyed here so seamlessly and in such a soulful manner! Your words really touched me today! “ Keep away from herculean schemes for tomorrow” something I need to work on as I keep my head always in what tomorrow could bring! This deserves a big fave! Pleasure reading you always Sending you light always

Valsa, your poem beautifully captures the essence of minimalism and living in the present. The message of focusing on what we can realistically achieve, rather than being overwhelmed by limitless possibilities, is both wise and calming. It gently encourages us to appreciate simplicity and take measured steps in life. Good job
