Premium MemberSimple Life In The Past

Daddy worked the land
To put food in our hand
He worked in the mill
To pay our monthly bills
Lived to be 97 years old
A simple life lived not so bold

Premium MemberFalling Flower

   A single flower died today.
   Grew bright yellow petals,
   With soft green leaves.
   A sturdy stalk,
   I was quite pleased.

   Slowly the petals faded away.
Leaves twisted brown and crinkled fell.
   Stalk bowed and broke.
Faded petals gathered round at the end.
Seed pods sprinkled to start the flower again.

Premium Membersimple piano keys,

I used to look to you,
and saw my baggy
of my darkness
but your humor
and I saw me in you,

never so strangers,
until a facade,
in my deepest
of fears
not of a mirror,
but swollen
eyes
left behind my dangers

and troubling,
fading
and I never wished it.
but those blue eyes
won't so call denial
escapee of the fleet,
of a falling harrowing,
spades so deadly

and
we tread
around
broken
glass....

simple
piano keys,
heart
may
be faster
as you
grow warmer,
with simplicity

And lost,
are
the tones
or estranged
and now dust
are worshiping
at Sunday's mass....
smiles so troubling.

The Power Of Zen

To carry life’s
complex messages
The structure
must be simple

Like angle iron
at ninety degrees
the weight to never
buckle

A thrusted spear
a hammer punch
direction
short and measured

Effects most dire
with arrows fired
from bows
— most straight delivered

(Chief Joseph Highway: August, 2025)

Premium MemberBrown Paper Packages

Gosh! Out of wrapping paper?
I need more gift wrap,
too late to go to the store.
What can I do! Crap!
Cut brown paper bags,
as wrapping for packages.
Add bows and gift tags.

Premium MemberSimple Math

If ever your color's blue
I will do something for you
Simple math's my speciality
Sit back, watch, and you will see
All your joys I'll times by two
All of them, not just a few
The sad things I will take away
No more to see the light of day
Come close and whisper in my ear
Tell me anything you fear
I'll hold you tight within my hug
And reassure you of my love

Premium MemberCherished Moments

Cherished moments spent
With your bestest friend a sharing,
Quietly sitting side-by-side,
Thoughtfully, at simply nothing, staring,
Just shooting-the-breeze together
And for each other caring.

Premium MemberSimple Wish

I think it would be really neat
to have suction cups for feet,
I would not be limited, anymore,
to walking only on the floor.
Summer, Winter, Spring and Fall,
I'd stroll the ceiling and the wall.
Everyone would fall in love
with me as I look down from above,
knowing I will never drop,
as my feet loudly pop, pop, pop.

Simple Word

A simple word –
Softly spoken,
Stilled my heart
Left me broken

A single breath –
Such destruction,
Instant death
One deduction

Goodbye.

Premium MemberLove poem I Love You True

I love you,
I love you,
I love you,
I do,
I love you,
I love you,
I love you,
True,
I love you,
I love you,
I love you,
Forever,
I love you,
I love you,
And won’t stop,
Not ever…

Premium MemberThe Maturation of Simple Thoughts

Swirling words from an infinite field,
Caught and thought in a moment of time.
Knowing not their future or their yield,
Their full potential may be sublime.

Allow yourself a time to reflect,
Give your thoughts the freedom to expand.
It won’t take long for them to connect,
Piece them together the best that you can.

For simple thoughts to be understood,
Whether written are spoken be clear.
Used correctly, they’ll be more than good,
They’ll be easy to read or to hear.

Allow your thoughts to simmer and stew,
Make your message be truly unique.
Add some depth for those special few,
Who hear more than just the words you speak.

Most of your words the crowd will not hear,
Or even remember in the end.
But those who listen, they will endear,
Mature thoughts on which they can depend.

Back Yard

Back Yard
Just sitting on my back porch.
 In my back-yard.
 Looking into the sky.
 No worries.
 Keep things simple.
Take it easy today and tomorrow.
 Live alone.
 That’s the way it goes.
 See birds fly.
Skim through the air, by and by.
 Just wondering.
 Just relaxing.
 Take in the air.
 Smoke a cigar.
 Live out in the country.
This is how it should be.

Premium Membersimple truths

simple truths ~ let us list them out
if heart’s quiescent, mind is still
in staid silence, voids within fill

let not fears and dark desires grout
know this: we are not body-mind
leave imagined knowing behind

God dwells in our heart, have no doubt
He is felt as bliss magnetism
wisdom transcending every ism

to find Him, let seeds of love sprout
remaining at all times bliss rife
recognising transience of life

hold firm faith in monk-mode devout
breath by breath, let go of ego
at peace in the boat, God does row

simple truths ~ let us list them out
let not fears and dark desires grout
God dwells in our heart, have no doubt
to find Him, let seeds of love sprout
hold firm faith in monk-mode devout

Simple Poetry

Simple Poetry
Love of nature
Through flowing rivers
Trees planted
Seeds watered granted
Humble beginnings
Sometimes clouds follow me
In the sky, only breathtaking
A peaceful place with no complaining
Turn off the noise
Small things matter most
Clothes, a roof over your head,
And food on the table
Keep life simple
No electronic devices
Just outside nature
The wind passes me by
As one, you and I
Breathe in fresh crisp air
Live in solitude
In the middle of nowhere
Through green prairies
Fragrances and beauty
With soul searching
A Simple Poem
Just the two of us
Room to grow
Early morning rise
Wake up to the aroma of coffee shine

Small and Simple Wins the Race

Grace once took me by the throat
And squeezed until I gave up Pride,
But Pride remained still unprovoked
As will began to slowly die

So faith stepped up and begged for hope
But hope preferred unstable waters,
Which brought despair on noose and rope
And silenced all I had that mattered

Yet faith prevailed, though by a smidge
As small and simple took the win,
For little triumphs made me rich
And progress I did find therein
