Contest Description

What to Submit?

ONE awesome nature haiku (or Hiku as Brian likes to say!) I have been noticing so many brilliant haiku lately both in Brian's contests and in other contests throughout the year. The new modern haiku of today does not require seventeen syllables, so I do not expect you to adhere to the 5/7/5 rule. Neither will I rule it out! All I want is for you to enter my contest with the one you think is your best one ever (old or new)! You can use experimental patterns with it or just write it the basic way with three dots after the second line or a hyphen. I don't even mind if it's spread over more than three lines - just make sure it does not go beyond seventeen syllables. Finally, please make sure the last part of it is a type of juxtaposition or just a nice surprise! Also it should refer to nature, whether its mood is cheerful or dark. You should know what I like by my responses to your past haiku you have written. I like poetry that is CLEAR to me and not shrouded in mystery or language that makes no sense to me. Also, keep to standard rules  such as no capitalization unless you are referring to a proper noun. I do not mind metaphor or rhyme in haiku, just as long as they are used well!
I expect to see many first placements, and hopefully all the entries will place!
