Happy to add one more view to your tally, dear Jan. I love the comforting thought of snow as a blanket. Hugs ~ John

And another view! ... you might find that this has so many views because someone somewhere has linked to this as an excellent haiku example! It is a lovely one - it has, ironically for a winter poem, the warmth that haikus often lack for me. X

Thanks Patricia - I am still reeling from the atrocities in Manchester - the face of that little girl will haunt me as she looks like the child of a friend. There are so many heroes on that night - how the emergency services and the hospitals coped that night I will never know - i saw an interview with a nurse today, she was so emotional - they are real angels in our lives:-) hugs Jan xx

Thanks Doug this is one of my most well read poems and I did find it plagerised by someone who used it for a contest in the Boston Globe ... they printed a piece after I was able to prove it was mine from soup:-) hugs Jan xx

Great haiku! Fun to envision flowers snuggled under a blanket of snow. Makes Winter not seem so bad.

Hello Jan, Your Haiku is a vivid reminder of the cold and snow due this year. I like to read and write Haiku. Not sure if you heard of Cattails. It is a publication dedicated to Haiku,Senryu,Tanka and Haibun. Very good winter Haiku. Oliver

Thanks oliver I am not familiar with the publication... I have only been writing for about 2 1/2 year's and I never know when I have written a proper haiku. I have had a couple published in haiku journal:-) hugs Jan xx

Over 7000 views Andrea it amazes me how popular it is - it was even plagerised by someone and posted with a different title and one word changed which meant it didn't fit a haiku style lol:-) hugs

Thanks Dave as a result of Faye's blog I found this poem had been plagerised and posted on Allpoetry called 'snow' one word was changed which even took it over the syllable count for a haiku lol - the man had even given a description of why it was written - how can people stoop so low - guess i should be flattered lol:-) hugs Jan xx
