Appreciated, Andrea. I grew up with cows and egrets. I always meant to write about them. They seem so peaceful in the fields.

I realized a long time ago that the last line should be a kicker, but it was just today that I learned Haikus are meant to be about nature. What I'm saying is I have tripped over my keyboard all day when trying to comment on them. I like yours. Seems to me you got it ALL right. To know that you know you do not know is the beginning of true wisdom ... CayCay

Lol, CayCay. I am still kind of new to Haikus. Yes! There are primarily about nature. Andrea introduced me to the idea of more modern haikus as well - less than the typical 17 syllables. I would say mine is pretty traditional. We get a lot of brown cows and egrets in the countryside. It's nice how they interact - quiet, businesslike, no fuss.
