Biography

I was born in Daytona Beach, Florida and lived on Merritt Island, Florida, home of Kennedy Space Center, until I went in the Air Force in 1965; where I spent 3 years, 9 months and 28 days (not that I was counting). I spent 1968 vacationing in Vietnam.

After departing the Air Force, in 1969, I went to work as a calibrations technician at Kennedy Space Center, where I had the privilege to help put the first man on the moon.

My subsequent jobs allowed me to travel the world and be exposed to wonderful people and things that I never dreamed I would ever see.

I owned my own business for twenty plus years which provided the resources to travel, by motorcycle, for more than 300,000 miles, to all the lower 48 states, Canada and south Africa. My wife, of 47 years, went with me. God bless her for putting up with me.

We retired in 2007 and moved to North Carolina where we currently enjoy God's country and each other.

I enjoy writing rhyming poetry. Most of the time I try to write in a manner that allows the reader to put their opinions and thoughts into what they get out of my poems. I try to be thought provoking or to at least get a reaction. If I only wrote for myself, I would not write .
