Notes About The Poem

If Christian, believe. If not, live the life for happiness.

Contemplating Christmas Day

Contemplating Christmas Day

This morning as I lay in bed
Contemplating Christmas Day
I heard a voice within my head.
“Here are words that you must say”

God sent His only Son to earth
Born in a stable on that night
To most humble of beginnings
To be the way and be the light

To walk this earth among us
By His path, to show the way
We only must believe in Him
And what began that Christmas day

Christ led a life of giving
Raised the living from the dead
Fed the hungry through a miracle
Put redemption in our heads

Gave His life upon the cross
To take our sins away
He is our way to heaven
Contemplate that Christmas day

Also think on Christmas,
Even without deity,
If you live your life as Christ did His
You'll be better; you will see
