We are the Government By Franklin Price 6/9/2017 We the people are the government It's not hard to understand The House and Senate represent us But we're the leaders of the band When we watch them on the TV Hear them on the radio See them rant on social media Calling each other so and so Making asses of themselves To put our country in a bind We're looking bad collectively And have lost our friggin' mind. We must begin to make things right We the people of this land Rid ourselves of representatives That don't care to understand They're there to do our bidding And are at our beck and call Vote them out the next election When they don't seem to care at all For we the people are the government We must participate Replace misplaced in Washington Before we find it is too late
