Notes About The Poem

We the people are the government of the United States. The people in Washington are only our representatives. We should be telling them what to do; not the other way around.

The Usa Has Lost Its Way

The U.S.A. Has Lost its Way
By Franklin Price
4/6/2017

The U.S.A. has lost its way
Founders rolling in their graves
Self centered governmental acts
In devastating tidal waves

No cooperation now
The party lines prevail
Some actions are not legal
Why are they not in jail?

Don't care what the people want
Care less for what they need
There for the recognition
And to satisfy their greed

It was not for their riches
They were voted to their seats
Was to care for all the citizens
Provide jobs and food to eat

Repair the infrastructure
Provide the people care
Protect the population
A few reasons they are there

It's time for them get in line
To govern as they should
Or put them on the chain gang
Breaking rock and chopping wood

Franklin, you probably heard that a bazillion or a gazillion times but your poem is 'priceless' :) Amitiés

you're the first I heard it from and I thank you so much. I just wrote it this morning.
