A crab is trying to run straight forward ,
Useless effort ending in sidewise crawl.
Creature is bound to move sideways,
though weird.
Caterpillar crawling on bamboo pillar
chews leaves wishing to fly.
Nature helps to take shelter in cocoon.
Metamorphosis starts to progress :
Transformation is complete later or soon.
Ugly caterpillar comes out
as beautiful butterfly fluttering wings
sucking nectar from flower,
really weird.
Tadpole swimming delighted in pool
wagging tail without fail
and by nature is herbivore.
Attaining adulthood, it leaves the tail,
turning to amphibian frog,
purely carnivore,
behaves weird.
When I was alone,
At the wintry forest lake,
I think at midnight,
In the dark nights of summer,
The cold against warm,
I wished to Aphrodite,
Maybe Venus too,
Someone could be next to me,
Which was really weird,
For I never loved loving,
Maybe for a change?
After one hundred one nights,
Alas, someone came—
You filled up my empty life,
You hugged me so tight,
Yet for once, my mind felt loose,
It unraveled up,
To let in your affection.
My head spun around,
For this was a first for me,
To get so adored,
That I fell both to loving,
And for your warm love.
It's been long since you arrived,
Yet it never fades.
I kept all the gifts you brought,
Pondering on how,
How did I get into this,
Something so caring?
I really shouldn't complain,
I do admire you,
Every starry tender night,
You make it so endearing.
In one short day, the weather changed
From dark to bright and rearranged
Our attitudes and clothes we wear
To fit the hours, foul or fair.
It started out with quite a storm
But temps unusually warm,
As rain ran riot ‘cross the road
And lawns turned into puddle mode.
The winds whipped wildly; from each tree
The squirrels scampered crazily.
Umbrellas, often such a perk,
On days like this, don’t really work.
As hours passed by, with me inside,
The rain decided to subside
And then the wind slowed down, as well,
For good, as far as I could tell.
The sun peeked out, for just a while.
I got my walk in, with a smile,
But heading back, dark clouds appeared,
This fickle weather really weird.
And now tonight, some thunder struck
And raindrops we will have to duck.
Tomorrow, I can just surmise,
Will bring another new surprise.
I woke up and forgot my password.
Everything seems back-assword.
It must be somewhere, but mislaid,
among a paper mountain, I'm afraid.
Something's really weird and strange.
Has my brain been rearranged?
As this odd feeling lingers,
I can't even feel my fingers,
and while my digits seem fat and numb,
they won't even oppose my thumb.
My vision's blurry and I feel weak.
When I open up my mouth to speak,
instead of meaningful words,
out flies butterflies and birds.
Even when I try to scream
like a kettle blowing steam,
there is not a single sound -
just a silence that's profound.
The sun looks more green than yellow,
and the ground is made of jello.
I'm not sure who I am.
Can you tell me my name?
I was someone when I went to bed.
Maybe, now I'm somebody else instead.
Am I gone? Will I be missed?
Or do I not even exist?
I wish I knew where I reside -
once again, "Password Denied".
Consider this an SOS.
Please send help to my address.
The sound of silence shrieked today.
I ran... to not be near it.
The thing I thought was really weird,
I didn't even hear it.
You can't be serious!!!
This must be a joke
To consider this yahoo
This really weird bloke
It's all a big put on
I have to ass/u/me
You guys are surely outta
Your cotton pickin' tree
It's a real big gimmick
To generate interest
No one can convince me
It's good for business
It's just meant to liven up
A dreary campaign
This yahoo for President
That's totally insane
past knoxville and idaho city there are a pair of adorable nitwits.
townspeople refer to them as kooky oddballs, a couple of twits.
their name is easy to learn. she is backward ditz; he is fritz.
brown eyes are lop-sided, their glances can be the pits.
watch out! cautions their neighbor, they will bore you to bits.
they showed up one day unexpectedly during a neighboring blitz.
I heard they were parisians, but another told me they are brits.
fritz can do a weird almost-hand-stand, and ditz does the splits.
twits do not put on airs; neither abides by the ritz or any glitz.
they eat bland foods like porridge, oatmeal, and plain grits.
calico cats come to them all the time, presenting them with kits.
their fighting is so common, their eyes are swollen to slits.
fritz likes to knit, so their house is full of junk that he knits.
afghans, scarves, hats, potholders, and unusable oven mitts.
ditz does not wash her hair, so it is full of lice, bugs and nits.
also have zits, and they have performed some really weird skits.
subtitled: The Bolder Boys (rivals of The Golden Girls)
written for a word bank contest - twenty really weird ones
Two graying seniors with appalling chimera
bantering back and forth - mental meandering.
Be it mirage or dreams from another era -
they diminish the other's philandering.
Fanfaronade - from high school boys I would expect
now it re-appears in quite perceptible measures
from our retired magistrate whom I quite suspect
of erroneous accounts of addled pleasures.
While his cohort, an erratic ex-engineer
relates with brazen gibberish his tete a tetes.
At one time more clear and swift of eye and ear,
on blogs they ordain to publish communiqués.
I have found no diffidence which they jeopardize
making harmless though delectable advances,
Noted but honest attempts to digitize
their forte, their skill in dubious romances.
I offered an honorarium of great size
for the first one who would divest his florid page
of any contentious items - to sanitize. .
Gaga girlfriends grin and gush. They're cute at this age.

Why not grow, a goatee or a beard
if you think, you look really weird
Why not wear, those three-quarter shorts
if you think, your legs look like warts
Why not wear, no belt with your pants
if you think, your rear end is for glance
Why not put those studs on your body
if you think, you were born a zombie
Why not put tattoos on your skin
if you think, you’re in a tailspin
Why don’t you like, what you see in the mirror
if you think, that you are getting queerer
I’m having the craziest time in the Soup
I never knew how perilous that it could be.
But since I landed here loopity-loop,
I’ve felt like the chicken of some really weird sea.
It sure looked delicious the first time that I flew
over the attractive bowl, so that’s why I swooped down.
But then I got too low; my small body, it fell through
the surface of the creamy soup! Oh I fear I’ll drown!
My wings, how they’ve struggled, but it’s just too thick.
Cream of chicken, so tasty, is going to be my demise.
I’m sinking and I’m sinking and now I feel so sick.
Farewell! Beware of Soup, my dear fellow flies!

A drunk has a question
for the bartender
"Hey!! Whazzup mah man!?
Fill dat to da brim, will ya?
And Oh, have you been so drunk out of yo
medulla oblongata ya blurted out
stuff ya thought were weird
like blaqbovyitch!! and yestrusri!!
to someone you were talking to
but they weren't weird after all
but then ya go and make it
weird by tryna make sense,
when ya made sense
in da first place;confusing the hell
outta yoself, like huh?
wondering "blacka blacka Whoa?"
and dat dude and dat moment
got really weird, real fast?
Neither have I. You? Is dat true?"
Bartender: Huh? That's it. No more drinks for you. I'm calling you a cab.

Jellyfish have no brains and still cope
For 500 million years, that gives me new hope
My brain's a good one
But it's on vacation
People still leave me really weird notes
I studied for years and got a degree,
and today I practice psychiatry.
The patients I see are twisted and whirled;
all seem to live in the weirdest of world.
They tend to see dragons and leprechauns,
witches and warlocks, flying unicorns.
Some even adore their pet dinosaurs;
believe in Easter Bunny and Santa Claus.
Some have their brain affected by party drugs;
or addled by ice and turned into thugs.
I thank my lucky stars I have my brain,
and I have a life that’s completely sane.
Today by appointment, a wife came to me,
for her hubby reacts erratically.
After drinking coffee he eats the cup,
leaving the handle for me to clean up.
‘This is really weird’ I explained to the wife.
‘In fact the weirdest thing, I’ve heard in my life.
You best bring hubby in for a heart to heart,
so I can explain - the handle is the best part.’
The very first poem of the new year
Should it be full of good cheer
Or should it make one shed a tear
How about something really weird
Or scary, about stuff we fear
A bit tawdry perhaps, to make one leer
Of course, there's the topic to be chosen
Perchance Winter and all things frozen
Or maybe, to fast forward to Spring
'Light, gentle breezes' have a poetic ring
Then there's the matter of the poem's style
Rhymes like this one often bring a smile
But free verse is in these days, as are haikus
Limericks, couplets, senryus and monokus
And last, but certainly not least
An important point to keep in mind
Is that as a poet, I should be kind
Enough to my dear readers
To get to the point without further delay
~ If, in fact, I've anything left to say
It's such an interesting thought
what'll people say when I'm gone
their thoughts about me when here
they didn't feel that it was on
So let's say I'm gone to a higher abode
then folk can be free to speak their mind
some would think he was really weird
spoke very little words were hard to find
Hopefully, they were others different
think this gulf was patient and kind
though he liked being alone also too
but most folks looked as if blind
All recognised that this guy had faith
a keen Bible lover of God's truth
had a great desire to walk with God
found often in his reader's booth
Hopefully, these voices cast echoes
of the person, I truly desired to show
may I've been an encouragement to some
aid them to follow Jesus onward and grow
