Premium Member OH, FOR GOODNESS SAKE!

Two squirrels broke into my kitchen and
found my mixing bowl~
a sweet, forbidden lake.
They dove right in with greedy paws
to sample what I was about to bake.

They slurped the batter, paw by paw,
till neither felt awake;
they wobbled, woozy, sugar-drunk
moaning, “We have a huge tummy ache.”

And when I checked my kitchen next,
I sighed, “Oh, for goodness’ sake!
Two many squirrels, with sticky tails,
had truly spoiled my cake.”

Sara's Alarm Clock

Beddy bye beddy bye
cuddled up in here I lie
Tickity tickity tock-tock
goes the alarm clock

With a blanky on my tummy
I feel kinda' woozy
Dingy dingy dong-dong,
anka wanka I am cozy

Beddy bye beddy bye
think I'll sleep til' noonzy!

Ashes

The cafe burnt alive as soon as you
Set your patent leather boot inside
And walked right into this unknown,
Mysterious yet familiar world
Of witty writers and pious poets
With their poetic pens.
My tantalizing timid eyes
Met your musically amused eyes,
And I heard a symphony unsung,
Strange, how can you be just a stranger,
When your eyes can speak so much danger,
Then how much your heart would want to say, stranger.
Strangers don't sing symphonies,
Nor do they linger nostalgically
Like a locket on an ashen neck.
They don't even say hello,
And there I sat with my cold heart,
Wondering like a bashful bard,
What were the chances,
Those burning glances,
And you left aloofly
With your latte
Leaving the ashes behind.
Soot everywhere,
Here and there,
On my lips where
Your eyes lingered,
On my fingertips,
Wanting to write
The desires of the
Waltzing, woozy heart.

Let's Do the Boozy Woozy

In this boozy woozy world we spin,
Where cares are shed and laughter's win.
Let's do the boozy woozy dance,
A carefree sway, a happy trance.

The rhythm calls, the music plays,
Forget the woes of yesterday.
Let bodies bump and spirits soar,
In this boozy woozy world we adore.

Tipsiness takes hold, a gentle sway,
With every beat, we're lost in play.
Woozy minds, a joyful blur,
At this moment, we're pure.

So walk like drunk, with silly grace,
A smile upon each happy face.
With you, my friend, in this delight,
We'll boozy woozy through the night.

Release the tension, let it go,
In this bubbly, boozy flow.
The boozy woozy life's the best,
A moment shared, a joyful test.

So join the dance, let worries fade,
In this boozy woozy charade.
Embrace the fun, the silly grin,
And do the boozy woozy within.

Premium Member Hospital Walls

hospital walls close in on my fears
sanitized stench of inevitable demise
dreadful trek of dissipating years
hospital walls close in on my fears
smothered by woozy breaths of tears
lanolium as dull as overcast skies
hospital walls close in on my fears
sanitized stench of inevitable demise

hospital walls close in on my fears
dreadful trek of dissipating years
smothered by woozy breaths of tears
sanitized stench of inevitable demise
lanolium as dull as overcast skies
shrouding the hope of eternal ties

Premium Member Life as it should be

i'm feeling antsy
itching to break out

leisure beckons
calls out loud

summer lingering
who knows for how long

playing tourist
while i can

sitting under the sun
drinking sangria

i'm feeling woozy
warm and fuzzy

sitting back
feeling mellow

life is good
life is fine

The Upside

On vacations you tend to gain weight,
Finding luscious, rich foods on your plate.
Add to that, extra drinks,
Plus desserts and methinks
Many people with this can relate.

And, though meals were a source of delight,
Coming home, all your clothing feels tight.
Buttons pop, seams may rip,
Zippers struggle to zip
Since you couldn’t resist one more bite.

Yet if somehow you’ve given a ride
To a sickness like Covid inside,
You’ll feel woozy and spent
And, though not your intent,
You’ll discover your appetite’s died.

So the upside to being infirm,
Which, experience lets me confirm,
Is that nothing remains
Of the pounds someone gains
On vacation, all thanks to a germ!

Premium Member Office Party

Hosting an office party
For me and my staff
There'll be eats and treats
And a couple of laughs

There'll be games and prizes
And just for the winner
Certificates for two
For a gourmet dinner

The bar will be open
So the drinks will be free
And for you teetotalers
There'll be coffee and tea

If you've had one too many
And feeling woozy inside
Just hop in the limo
And we'll give you a ride

When the night is over
I want to make this clear
You don't have to go home
But you're not sleeping here

Midnight's Ink unveils,
Loneliness penned in moonlight~
Silent confidant.

Revealing secrets,
Ink bleeds, bares my deepest thoughts~
Moon, my only friend.

Midnight's sparkling dance
Moon glimmers, sea shimmers bright~
Wave flitters, night glitters

Whirling in a haze,
Woozy daze dizzy muzzle~
Life's wild, tangled maze

Listen, Listen Do

The flop and flurry of wide, woozy wings
clatters over dawn hedgerows.
Claws scrabble, feathers flounce.
An ounce of twitters rebounds
into raucous sound.

Here a rowdy cackle,
here a coddled coo,
there a deeply fluted hoo-hoo
all together in a ruffled flutter.
Birdsongs pump up,
light airy balloons into chattering tunes.
The sky jitterbugs a cloud or two.

Listen, listen do,
Listen to the hullaballoo
the mad glad galloping away of a musical play
where the singalong nips
at our ears with catcalls and cheers.

Another teaming twitter and fuss
strikes up its band for us.
Another cacophonic day lurches
as sleepy birds and the wide awake
gleefully roll off
their nocturnal perches.

Boat Similes

Abacus yacht boats pleasy
Banana boats are queazy
Catamaran boats squeezy
Dinghy boats all out easy
Eagle Craft boats too cheesy
Fishing boats yet so breezy
Game boats crazy uneasy
Houseboats creepy sneezy
Inflatable boats fizzy
Jet boats so smokeeasy
Kayak boats much so creasy
Lifeboats namely are busy
Motor boats mainly teasy
Narrowboats are but woozy
Origami boats leasy
Pontoon boats namely weasy
Q-Ship boats likewise greasy
Rider boats rather wheezy
Sedan bridge boats are flimsy
Trawler boats just as queasy
U-boats notably dizzy
Vessel boats sure are squeasy
Wakeboard boats easy-peasy
Xebec boats rather frenzy
Yacht boats are indeed sleazy
Zille fish boats funny fuzzy

Premium Member In the Sway

dependent on your every whim
the yoyo of just a single word

moods that sway in ups and downs
compromising an artificial game

heart off kilter in the balance
pummelled wobbly dazed and woozy

Woozy In a Jacuzzi

I don't question
my presence in a Jacuzzi
with a girlfriend of a friend,
or why my ex-wife's sister
is now a soapy fingered hand-maiden.

All day I keep adjusting my mask
while secretly watching that hot tub dream
as it plays-on
on the tip of every nerve ending.

I so wanted to sink back
into dream suds.

I have this crazy itch to snorkel down
to where I can touch the erotic life
of all things wonderful.
