I was born and raise in Ohio to a single mom who named me Selena. I started writing at the age of 10 years old to grow to be aspiring author with a growing collection of poetry and short stories each poem, lyric, and story I craft is a fragment of my truth—whether it’s sweet, romantic, angry, sad, or even downright peculiar. This exploration of emotion allows me to peel back the layers of my own experiences, revealing the raw and often messy reality of what it means to be human. Sharing these pieces with the world can be a terrifying prospect for me but yet it’s a risk I am willing to take. I firmly believe that writing serves not only as a personal outlet but also as a bridge that connects me to others who may resonate with my experiences life.
Through my words, I hope to create a connections that goes beyond the boundaries of individual narratives. In a world that often feels divided, literature has the power to bring out the imaginations that plays along in someone's head to the joys, sorrow, and struggles of everyday life that follow us. I strive to evoke emotions that echo in the hearts of my readers, reminding them that they are not alone in their journeys. I aim to be brave, embracing the beauty of my journey while inviting others to reflect on their own.
