The Break Up

Stop ! Stop !
Relinquish me from
Your relentless nonsense
That keeps me drowning
In your ocean of confusion
You're fast, furious pace
Makes me feel lost in a crowd
Your phony front fools no one
But somehow you manage.....
At least so far you have
But someday you will annihilate yourself
That's why I think
I'll get off here

Things left unsaid

Fences yet to mend ,
Will they look the same again ?
Time stains, warps, and bends .

Premium Member Pleasantly Surprised

Last Friday’s date with Miss Information
Turned out to be wonderful,
She was not what I expected.
Her name is Sophie
And she’s never been woke
Somehow making it all the way through school
Without contracting the post-modernist contagion.
Bright, beautiful, well bred and read
She goes by Ms. not Miss
And if dreams come true
One day will be my Mrs.

A monk with no god

"a homogeneous mass of consciousness
God as the all there is, mind cannot name
being both immanent and transcendent
living light intimate in heart aflame”
— Unseeking Seeker
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It is unconscionable to ponder
that God's awesomeness is questionable.
The permanence of his good countenance
lies beyond the sustenance of the shrewdness
of our
insouciant condescension.
The incandescence of His amour in our lives
should remain aglow with eternal longevity,
so that any falsehood
be irreproachably reprehensible,
His presence is without pretence
That thunderous fires
owe His infallibility a debt,
Even when death has dealt with our incorrigibilities,
we must summon courage
to quench the flames of inveterate servitude.
And in solemn solitude
our being
should exude an astute gratitude,
that girds our vulnerability
with great fortitude.
And in the sober cadence of our credence,
we should attest to the sempiternal essence of God's existence,
not to be subsumed by the puerile creed
of a monk with no god.
Premium Member Blind Date
This Friday I’ve got a blind date
With Miss Information
And I just can’t wait.
Of course as a red blooded American male
I sincerely hope I’ll get in her pants
If not her bed,
But given her name
I won’t be making any assumptions
‘Till I see her up close and personal.
Given her name
I also expect to hear lots of talk of Covid 19
Bats, the wet market, social distancing
Safe and effective vaccines and all that.
Then before dessert
I hope we make it past BLM’s glorious
Post Floyd Summer of Love
The terrifying January 6th insurrection
And nonexistent border crisis of 2021-24,
As I like to enjoy something sweet
Without a sour taste in my mouth.
In fact, I hope we make it through the night
Without any of that garbage,
But given her name I’m not holding my breath.
So why am I even taking Miss Information out?
Because although inside I am no comparison,
Inside I am also now inspired
And will proudly step up and say, “Hi,
I am Charlie”, when I pick her up,
And so gladly reach across the aisle
And dine with a chick who may end up a dude
In the name of open and friendly dialogue.
After all that is what will Make America Great Again.
The perfect fit
Like a puzzle piece to its mate
Not easy to find
Digging for what seems like eternity
Some are so close
They fit but the picture is all wrong
Others have all the right colors
But the shape is no where close
But then I met you
And I knew my search was over
Any matches I'd tried before
Never fit so perfectly as you
It makes me wonder how I thought
Anything else was ever right
We're no longer two separate pieces
Now we're one complete peace
Come to Me
Feel my energy
& come to me.
Notice that knot
in your stomach
& know it's my breaking heart.
Rise without thought
& find your keys.
Excuse yourself
& run to me.
Fear my cooling.
Break the speed limit
to catch me awake.
Catch me thinking of you
& hoping you would come.
Let it be beautiful
Let it be beautiful
I know you love me
I could see the fire in your eyes
Each time we are together
You never stop holding my hands
Always closer to me
You keep
Paying attention to my words and voice
I can feel love from your reaction
I can testify that you are down with me
So please my baby
keep this fire burning
Let it be beautiful
Loss of my life
All the stars
Start to shine
When you are around
When you fate away
Their shine goes away
When you fate away
My heart goes away
Running
Slicked back hair
red shorts
no shirt
warm fall day
Running
from family
from work
from responsibilities
words are barely used
no tears
no arguments
just interference
There's a better place on the top of the hill
but its not
More hills
There is a breeze
and he clutches it
it's been a long time
No one understands why he'd trade
comfort for pain
Normal life for change
miniscule details become important
as the breeze is now cold air
There were many paths to have taken
but he chose the easy one.
Premium Member sift, the sands
sift, sift, the sands of time
          sift for loves gone missing
               sifting thru a passion’s pall
     bows once sweetly kissing
bend, bend, the willows old
          bend with breezes, sighing
               bending with its aging arms
     through neglect now dying
cold, cold, the winds of life
          cold, to freeze the marrow
               colder than a heart, misled
     pierced with envy’s arrow
lost, lost, a true love’s eyes
          lost with tears a-brimming
               lost to drown inside a gaze
     ne’er again … be swimming.
Broken heart
Broken heart
Lies don’t last
Tears don’t makes a river
You cut the rope holding our love
Sorry you can’t make it same size
Any more my dear
There is always a time to move on
Now I understand better
What it means to be a man
No matter how good you are
It can’t be a enough to keep a
Man out of pain
I blame no one but i cant just comprehend this agony of betrayal
Why this much sorrows
Why this much mental tortures created by lies
I remember the good times
I never forget your promises
I remember vividly your actions of Shame
I thought it pays to be good
You never broke me
All you gave me was just a
Broken heart
Premium Member Obsolete
You took but never gave
You broke but never mended
You lied and betrayed
Your promises were lies intended
You played on the kindness of others
Without remorse for your deceit
Years of selfishness and greed
Now….from so  many you are estranged and obsolete!
West side Love
His eyes surprise sleeping lullabys no pills he kills me with that stare as if I'd dare theirs no compare his love is rare I sensed him miles  away I knew I'd see him again another day I said I'd be his friend I kept my word I never send bad intentions he's the only one worth mentioning I keep him locked up and throw away the key when really he thinks he does it to me I hopped on his team because he's made of things I dream .
