God acts
Man reacts
Action unites
Reaction divides
Action explains
Reaction complains
Action amends
Reaction offends
Action reflects
Reaction regrets
Action is effort
Reaction is comfort
Action is thinking
Reaction is feeling
Insecurity..
An agent of persuasion
For a separate one..
All storyland
Of course..
Insecurity names a
Condition which seems
To apply to a character
Who reacts..and
It might be a best-seller!

Man reacts to rain in a variety of ways often finding a fault with it. When the season's rain is late in coming, he is no longer choosy and wants it just to rain in what so way. Yet, when it rains enough, he tends to become somewhat hard to please and fussy. However, this ghazal, set in an Anapaest meter, has its own idea what it can be truly called rain.

What wets all my within I call rain,
What makes her envy green I call rain.
I’ve seen rains cleanse and scour all around,
What makes her a teen queen I call rain.
Rain may make the rivers overflow,
What lets me her heart win I call rain.
Rain may make her all wet from without,
What can make her heart keen, I call rain.
Rain can turn deserts to oasis,
If love seeds sprout therein, I call rain.

***Instead of simply describing the visual of Chaggal Birthday Work of Art, this Ekphrasis poem reacts to and interprets the painting's emotional and symbolic significance.

Ekphrasis: The Birthday
Love unfastens
the ordinary.
A room remains a room
until joy bends its own bones,
and suddenly
the body believes
it was always meant
to fly.
Your kiss
is not an ending,
but an axis—
around which walls,
windows,
and waking
quietly revolve.
Gravity grows gentle,
its stern syllables
softened by surrender.
I look,
and the painting
looks back—
teaching me
that devotion
is the only miracle
that leaves the earth
without ever leaving it.
Chivalry and bravery in valiant display
A pygmy and rhino atilt in the fray
Held dear in defense armored rules own the day
With a deer past the fence one wants to play
Now norm'ly the two would get on just fine
But honor and status are now on the line
It isn't a matter of standing up tall
It's how one reacts with their back at the wall
Horn to horn is a matter that seldom ends well
But sadder is he who won't answer the bell
The valiant won't taste the bitter end twice
Better be buried than counted just nice
All's well that ends well we know it from old
While fortune may favor the brave and the bold
It's always much better when Titans are playing
Just make sure they're not past a welcome you're staying
On the question of destiny and free will,
though life as impulsed will unfold as ordained,
feeling influx of grace, which God does instil,
our consciousness expands, from thought forms unchained,
whence the love dove perches on soul’s window sill,
revealing the light of Self, pure and unstained.
Spirit in form is here for a brief sojourn,
imbibing benign bliss burns in body urn.
When debts of love are repaid, in bliss we wade,
impacted no longer by the quirks of fate,
our non-judgmental eye assigning no grade,
knowing tempests that rise, will in time abate,
path of the heart offering bliss readymade,
propelling our presence straight through heaven’s gate.
Free will is the manner in which we respond,
choice of purity, forging with God a bond.
Contemplating, to whom does destiny come
and who is the doer, who seemingly acts,
in tranquil silence, betwixt bliss beat’s soft hum,
noticing how nodes within forge loving pacts,
aligned to the cadence of the cosmic drum,
whence negating the ego, since it reacts,
we see we’re not form but the life force itself,
recognised clearly as the light of our Self.
Lord Jesus uttered in unbearable pain
‘May God forgive these adamant people
unaware of their guilt, mostly insane.’
That’s the spirit of a graceful holy heart.
Me basically, kind-hearted, and soft minded persona
feeling intense urge to respond prompt
at need of person in misery.
Instantaneously I act and become ready
to lend a helping hand expecting no return.
Soul reacts spontaneous and unbiased.
Kindness is basic realisation
to sense and feel pain of one another.
Self-centered person does never bother.
Kindness builds up right civilization.
I believe in power of kindness
But in cases of malice, offences, wickedness, tortures,
I feel no pity, but wish to punish tormentor, not to forgive.
power of kindness
to apply not supporting
an offence or crime

The Falling Out
I find the ceiling fan
quite interesting – a whirling
meditation; -- blades
whiz! – air cooling unseen
yet felt
apparently
all affecting not overtly visible
how one’s heart reacts to currents
oblivious to detached others --
when we had our falling out
a great storm rocked worlds
no mention by the local meteorologist
nor cosmologist
seismologist
or an especial priest --
What’s one more or less, our universe~
to the greater emotional theme?
The master cracks his whip
across the horse’s trembling flank,
pushing the beast to its limits
until the wildness snaps and the horse reacts,
a flurry of chaos beneath the sting.
When silence falls, the master
believes the animal has learned,
believes the wounds are healed.
He reaches out with clean hands,
petting the horse's weary muzzle,
his fingers gentle, but not soft enough.
The horse, though still, does not forget.
It smells the leather polish on the master's skin, the lingering scent of cruelty woven into the fabric of his flesh.
The horse knows the weight of that smell,
knows it cannot be washed away.
And no matter how tender the touch, the horse remains wary,
the scars deeper than the skin, unforgiven.
The master must face the truth of his actions.
the horse may no longer fight,
but forgiveness does not bloom on the soil of mistreated land.
The horse is not healed,
and the master is not forgiven.
Our heart retracts ~ discern the cause;
perhaps we were dismissed,
which matters not simply because,
we are by bliss mists kissed.
Why would light pay homage,
to unbecoming rage,
unless we're not of age?
Ego reacts ~
Our heart retracts
The will to feel each other skin to skin while sleeping in one bed
you want me, don’t deny it
you know it’s not right, it won't be right
Trying to distract myself from crying
telling you perverse ideas
Making you sweat and tell me what you’d do to me if I were there
The ideas get more grousome each time we talk
tickets to my city are being bought
The hotel is being booked
I’m a child dressed up as an adult
Sitting on the edge of the bed
Why do I keep going? it’s not right
I hate how my body reacts to your words of holding me down, choking me, staring into my eyes
It’s all inside my mouth
All I see in my head is a repeating stream of fantasies
I reread them
imagine them
feeling it inside of me
for hours like in coma I repeat them in my head
and if you ask me how I feel
I wouldn’t know what to say
How dare I complain when I did this to myself
It's all just words and writings
Large heads
The Modern Slavery Crisis Must Be Addressed.
Calling on all poets for an urgent meet-up
The Pied Piper has surfaced again in this world.
On this occasion, he is dressed in a Jojo Armani suit.
He never drinks bottled water from the guest tables
He questions the labels, he questions the cell phones
He reacts to the earplug in their ears
It brought on a wave of sadness,
What is this madness? He said under his breath!
He looked across at the audience,
And whisper how convenient!
Stand up, stand up, stand up for your rights
Did this new generation go down without a fight?
No pointed hats, but why so many large heads?
Here ye hear ye, hear ye, have the men and women
This generation sold their souls for honey.
Misery is a life sentence in which love company,
That is why he called the meetup today, per se,
Cats and dogs will never be friends, he said in an unknown language
Timekeepers cannot stop time, time will run out,
Large heads will Strunk because it filled with air,
Great leaders of the world, I welcome you all.
But I am not Bob the builder, I can't shape your future
I am the Pied Piper:
Some truth about our body:
Our body remembers absolutely everything
It remembers what you don't remember
The body reacts to danger
It lives or buries unlived in feelings and emotions
It tells a moment what's happening around you
Through physical reactions and state of health
It's enough to learn to notice and interpret them
Observe your body how suddenly contracted
It has a lump in your chest or throat
Your arms shaken
Your legs become woolen
When you stop breathing
Breathing is shallow and shallow
Feel the moment
Feel the reaction
Figure it out
Respond something in yourself
Find time the quality of your life.
