Notes About The Poem

Oh My, Deer

Chivalry and bravery in valiant display
A pygmy and rhino atilt in the fray
Held dear in defense armored rules own the day
With a deer past the fence one wants to play

Now norm'ly the two would get on just fine
But honor and status are now on the line
It isn't a matter of standing up tall
It's how one reacts with their back at the wall

Horn to horn is a matter that seldom ends well
But sadder is he who won't answer the bell
The valiant won't taste the bitter end twice
Better be buried than counted just nice

All's well that ends well we know it from old
While fortune may favor the brave and the bold
It's always much better when Titans are playing
Just make sure they're not past a welcome you're staying
