Those quiet times in the night,
You hear the voices in my mind.
The decisions and concerns,
Of the heart trying to find love,
From the very start.
I feel like I'm being pulled apart,
As a robot with no heart.
PORCELAIN HEART
A cheek so pale
Pollen sleeps
A meadow's breeze
Across your cheek
Your hair in waves
Sweep your face
You drown in dreams
So far away
Lips so sure
Part not with need
Your one true wish
A buried seed
Your porcelain heart
Such fragile art
I dare not touch
So risk your love
Your flesh so sweet
Oils made
The land of Queens
So far away
Limbs so white
Like snow on trees
In soft moonlight
You bend with ease
Farewell to my small town
I left there Sunday
Turned my back on my friends
What can I say
Seems an election of mine
was a tad out of line ...
I'm heartsick already
for this I'm too old
Without my companions
I'm not quite so bold
as to proclaim small towns
breed only small minds ...
Though alas, no room in their hearts
for even one different kind
As he lay in bed with butterflies in his stomach,
and a heart that felt twice its size,
clutching at his chest with gratitude and excitement.
Someone finally saw him!
They saw his talent.
They saw his gift.
They noticed his skill with a brush and pen.
They found him in the lowest of all places,
saw right through his cordial gestures
and a forced grin.
They appreciated the struggle.
The real him.
Flaws and all.
And loved him still.
They saw beauty within the pain
and did not run away,
where so many others had passed him over.
They found him in dark corners
when he had almost quit,
feeling like a failure.
He had grown so accustomed
to the massive oversights,
yet this one truly shocked him.
Immediately, his soul rejoiced,
reigniting his sense of purpose.
Tears of gratitude
gradually filled his eyes.
A new love for his craft emerged,
and the heavy stone upon his heart
was finally released,
allowing the floodgates of emotion
to open.
It only took one
who truly believed in him.
This one admirer.
They helped him
to stay the course.
You came into my life like a star
And filled my heart with joy
You took my pain as if it was yours
And gave me love that no one could.
You gave me a shoulder to cry on
You were my pillar when I was falling
You were my strength when I felt low
With your smile, you made my living on earth worthwhile
Down I fall, to my knees.
The pain is to much to bear.
If you can hear me, please help me.
My love for him will never cease.
It’s strong beyond compare.

Time can’t be bought—nothing is free.
I wish we had more time to share.

I whisper softly through the trees.
Why is life so unfair?

relieve my blue heart
mugged of my delusions
Harshly thrown into reality
Overthinking
really makes me lose my sanity
Old worries leave
New troubles await
Thy Sane brain needs a break
For at rest it thinks
If I were a changed soul
Would things be different
Would I be whole
I needed it, a newly found start
To sit by the ocean
relieve my blue heart
mugged of my delusions
Harshly thrown into reality

Like finding it funny to hear two
Daryls introduced one after another.
So many memories of you
Flood our minds
From NASCAR to dirt track to model cars
You were a collector of many things
But true love was your greatest treasure
You held it close you held her dear
Your children knew what a great man you were
Tommy you were a special unique soul
A bit of a perv but you knew how to have fun
The memories we share of you will carry us through this difficult time
You journey now begins in the arms of your beloved
Some day we will see you there in heaven
With that unforgettable smile and with out any pain

Gone but never forgotten.
My bestie friend has gone away
taken away that faithful day
I can't believe you are really gone
why you go and left me alone
I guess it was time according to God
I cannot shake this oh my God
I just saw you not that long ago
that faithful day you were alone
I feel so lost I dont believe it
I cant even go to see your mother
if I do I know I will cry
I dont want her to see the redness in my eyes
Its been two years I still feel sorrow
Im so lost and wish I could borrow
the strength of someone stronger then me
As I write this I still hope you will remember me
Until that day I will see you around
push the last of the dirt from the ground
one last breathe
one last tear
I miss you my friend
especially when Im still here
Resilience fades. Time moves on,
Putting on a brave face for those around.
I'm asked why the "we" and "I" when speaking of self—
Putting safe before all else.
If loved ones knew I'm draining dry,
There is no perfect way to answer why.
My words expressed... stolen by the stress.
Pushing on... a weight that comes perched... a place that it regains.
The hell of an empathetic mind.
I long so much for brighter rays,
To care in ways of innocence.
The rain pours like blessings from heaven
The lillies and ferns dance and sway swiftly
The dry soil turns swampy and soft
It glides away all that rests upon it
The feeling is so vibrant and cozy
The hopeful heart flies with wings far off
Wandering like busy butterfly...
