No larger than a grain of rice,
her face is forming; mouth, a slice.
Her heart, a tube, begins to beat;
at one month, things are imprecise.

An inch now from her head to feet.
Eyes, fingers, toes: not yet complete.
Her neural tube, well on its way.
At two months, things look pretty sweet.

Four inches long, an ounce to weigh;
miscarriage risk drops every day.
All parts are present, there to see;
at three months, fingers grasp and splay.

Her nails and hair seen easily;
eyelid, eyebrow, eyelash agree.
Four months now and six inches long,
the ultrasound clear: she’s a she.

Her muscles build; she’s getting strong.
You thought you felt her; you’re not wrong.
She’s covered with lanugo hair.
At late month five, she hears your song.

Her fingerprints? Whorls present there.
The eyelids part; eyes open, stare.
When she hiccups, you may observe.
Month six births: viable with care.

Refinements to sensory nerves,
reacts to light, from pain will swerve.
She rarely is reserved or still;
month seven, and this gal’s got verve!

At five pounds now, she kicks at will.
Lungs immature, but they can fill.
Eight months, all sharpens, gets refined;
You’re on alert, you know the drill.

It’s nine months now; she’s quite confined.
Delivered, breathes in, and unwinds.
Flesh of your flesh, though quite her own;
Distinctly her, you’re intertwined.

Can't stop flashbacks
Can't stop vibrations
Vibrations like echoes
Vibrations irritating wounds
Wounds that bleed
Wounds that torment
Torment the mind
Torment emotions
Emotions of guilt
Emotions full of anger
Anger from the past
Anger from shame
Shame that's distressing
Shame that's intrusive
Intrusive images haunt
Intrusive like storms
Storms striking like lightning
Storms louder than thunder
Thunder that's frightening
Thunder causing self-destruction
Self-destruction of the heart
Self-destruction of the mind
Mind acts recklessly
Mind reacts resentful
Resentful with regret
Resentful outbursts
Outbursts misunderstood
Outbursts they generalised
Generalised anxiety
Generalised questions
Questions of sanity
Questions of ability
Ability to stand
Ability to walk
Walk in fear
Walk through a hellish reality
Reality discarded
Reality unseen
Unseen persecution
Unseen war
War with life
War with time
Time is too intense
Time to surrender
Surrender to uncontrollable stuttering
Surrender to my misleading heart
Heart palpitations
Heart is numb flatline
Flatline
Palpitations...

Crimson Rain

On a still...ancient horizon,
Massive dragon wings emerge,
To the atmospheric battlefield.
Where two legendary beasts,
Clash for the love...of a dragoness.

A battle of mythic proportions,
Of two stonily serpents in the sky.
Only three dragons remain,
The two wary warriors,
And the dragoness they fight for.

The flap of enormous wings,
Thunders the air abroad.
The fire in the sky illustrates,
That the battle has begun.

Fierce deafening roars,
Rape the quiet Delphi skies.
In a solemn brave attempt,
To win the dragoness’ heart.
She rests...nestled in the mountains,
For the winning warrior’s return.

Strident screams pierce the heavens,
From the vicious violent brutality.
Aggressive attacks resonate,
Vibrating her lair of stone,
As she shivers in despair and wonder.

Sharp talons pierce the scales,
Shredding the tissue of life.
Effervescent mists spray,
Staining the clouds with gore.

A thud hits the landscape,
And her attentive attention reacts.
Waiting with complete ambition,
A second thud thumps the landscape.

Curious eyes creep from the cave,
She wrestles with the thought of extinction,
As both...her warriors are slain,
Laying lifelessly...in a crimson rain.

When a Woman Is Just a Woman

When a woman is just a woman
........... her true self she shows

When she is honest with herself
............her confidence glows

When she reacts with expression
.........with all emotions combined

When you never have to question
.........repeatedly speaks her mind

When she gives her attention
...........shows tender loving care

When she shows her inner child
..........does everything with flair

When she voices her opinion
......... omits when incorrect

When she exposes her heart
..........treats all with respect

When she gives you her all
.........asks little in return

When her eyes are open wide
.........always ready to learn

When she has nothing to hide
......... her heart on her sleeve

When a woman is just a woman
...........her soul you will perceive

A Mother's Ears

I sometimes feel a unique vibration within
my own ears. My baby’s crying, calling from beneath his quilted,
baby-blues. His sobs rustle the warm sheath of home.
Before my mind reacts, my body is up, hastily tip-toeing
into the nightlight’s calming glow of a cow jumping over the moon.
Outside a soggy, spring night splatters under streetlights
like urban art. A steady rhythm of flowing rain
beats down on puddled pavements. My baby’s cries
reverberate as they reach that instinctual part of me,
somewhere deep within my diaphragm and through my heart.
A mother’s astute ears know the subtle variations of her own
children’s breath in sleep…I hurry to the shadows of my baby’s crib
to find him curled up, eyes still closed; little whimpers
and groans escape from his open lips…a bad dream, I realize.
I gently rub his back, shushing away all that disturbs his peace,
and I wonder about a child’s impressionable mind…
what intrusions of an innocent day could bring a bellowed anguish
to the sweet dreams of a carefree boy not yet two?
I listen to him tumble in and out of his fear until his breath is a tranquil hum…
only then, do I hear the music of an early morning’s falling rain.

Premium Member Shards Of Insanity

Victims of cutting reject
trite platitudes of pity.
For the pain they feel has been
festering in them since birth.

Shards of insanity cut
into insignificance.
And reality reacts:
to bouts of low self-esteem.

Sparked by emotional needs,
panic ignites frayed, raw nerves.
And only cutting can dull
anxiety's sharpened edge.

The sound of your beating heart
increases as steel cuts flesh.
And yet, for a chance to feel,
fear slips into submission.

Relief accompanies the
trickling blood fleeing your vein.
And you feel alive, inside:
by numbing your greater pain.

The View From Where I Stand

I’ve an anger which cannot be hidden!
A burning passion that comes unbidden!
My Soul desolated with grievous rage,
reacts with furious justified outrage!

Occasioned by the offences of ignorance,
bigotry, discrimination and intolerance!
Though evil are the ravages of vandalism,
they pale to the magnitude of racialism!

Colour, creed, even the shape of the eye
is little enough to make bigots cry:
“He’s not of us! He’s a different breed!”
“Watch him close or he’ll do us an ill deed!”

There is no cause for remarks such as these,
but pestilent views are like a disease!
Some ill chosen words expressed in vague
terms, insinuate like a fatal plague!

Ethnic slurs in the guise of humour, fester!
With but one angry response one protester,
can incite more slander, which raging out of hand,
foments a backlash! Runs rampant! Inflames the land!

But racism is a sword with a two edged blade!
It cleaves not only those on whom it’s laid
but those who scorn to curb their vicious tongue
from whom such defamatory words have sprung!

Can we not accept those who are not as us?
Must we blame the innocent for the fuss
instigated by such biased perception?
Let us quash ignorance at its inception,

or by default we shall be guilty too!
By using diverse conceits we construe
to make imprudent acts lawful decrees!
While disregarding all impassioned pleas

for tolerance! Unless we denounce this blight,
or take a stand and with fortitude, to fight
and end disharmony, discord and dislike!
Racialism and hatred will flourish alike!

    * such a beautiful place to be *
       ( simply sharing moments )

Un-Named

Liquid sunshine,
rushes through my veins,
pumping through my heart,
leaving my body quivering;

passionate fire
carresses my skin,
with every sinful kiss
you grant my ever begging lips;

your eyes, leave my soul,
without a drop of pain,
soothing all fear and,
filling them with perfect drops of rain;

your hands, so soft, so coarse,
touch my skin like addiction,
leaving sweet pearls of creme,
to moisten my lower cavities;

your warm touch,
leaves me wide open,
begging, screaming, wanting, needing,
pleading for more of you;

our tounges dance,
inside, outside,
our touching lips,
warm, wet, salty;

our breaths sing,
over satiny skin,
into our ears,
as sultry whispers;

our hands grip eachothers bodies,
cool, warm, heated skin,
soft, beautiful, clutched hair,
filled with the essence of passion;

our eyes, half closed, half open,
stare, into the sky and sun,
the stars and moon,
the need between eachother;

perfect pearls drip from our skin,
blended into a sweet vanilla, mocha blend,
sweet, salty, warm, cool liquid,
flowing over, flowing from, our mixed skin;

shivering, shaking,
from sheer, natural, naked extacy,
the pulsing between my legs,
begs for his pulsing, strong heat;

my lips would take it,
carress it,
taste it,
love it;

my body would take it,
contract around it,
need it,
love it;

we tighten, and loosen,
we rock and shift,
i look down into his eyes,
and move my sweet tender hips;

i beg him for more,
and tell him when we're done,
we command eachother,
my codeword "more fun";

my body reacts,
to the thought of this,
i swallow my thoughts,
before i break, from needing him;

sweet liquid sunshine,
spills from our pores,
exotic liquid fire,
burns between our bodies warm;

our hearts beating faster,
our breaths comming in fast sips,
moans intermingeling,
between pressed lips...

No Where Else

Your calling my name once again.
My heart flutters with excitement.
You got me where you want me.
The butterfly's in my stomach are trying to burst out.

My body reacts to you.
I have no idea why.
But every time your around
My heart skips a beat.

Your gaze lights me on fire.
My voice grows weak.
You have me backed against a wall.
There's no where else I'd rather be.

On Attack: A Rainbow Six Siege Poem
By: Jacob Wallihan

Time to prepare
The drones are on the field
Rolling right towards
The building called “Coastline”
Callouts for the position of the bomb
Not Kitchen
Not Bar
Not Billiards
It’s Penthouse
Spotted the enemies
2 Roamers
Caveira and Ela
3 Anchors
Pulse, Mira, Rook
All spotted picking up
Rook’s Armour
Drone’s all shot
Pick the spawns
Pool is mine
Let’s Go
Spawn in
3 minutes on the clock
A 5 man squad
Montagne with Blackbeard
The hard breachers;
Hibana
Thermite
For Intel: Lion
Enter the building Hibana
Through VIP window
Frag the Ela
5 v 4
Montagne
With defuser
Walks into Guitar
In doorway to Penthouse
Blackbeard watching Monty
Sees the Rook
Reacts late
4v4
Hibana places a claymore
VIP hallway
Runs back to window and vaults
Lion activated “Big Brother”
Hibana rushes past Monty
Lion
With grace
Bounds through bathroom hatch
With Hibana
Picks off Rook and Mira
4v2
Monty smokes
Goes for the plant
C4 below
Sends Monty out the window
3v2
Defuser down
Thanks to Lion
Pulse
Activating the claymore
Flies into the courtyard
3v1
Caviera
Running quietly into theatre
Downs Lion and Hibana
Throws a hail mary
Monty doesn’t react in time
Cav gets the defuser
Over the coms
“OPFOR disabled our defuser”
“Mission a failure”

Premium Member They Are the Magi of the Inner Value

Meera counts the money.... just one hundred and fifty rupees. Still to pay to the grocer and the electric bill. The guests will come and to greet on the Diwali and Happy New year, some sweets for them. For children , there should be chocolates and light drinks. The homeless people will come in the morning and will have to give a rupee to each. It just leaves 15 rupees. Tomorrow will be Diwali and the day after The New year….For years I have not given any gifts…Oh, Madan.

Meera looks at one of her gold ring on her right hand
As the ring’s grove is empty without any stone.
She lost the diamond of the ring long back unmindfully.
She left for a jeweler’s shop to sell her only treasure.
And to buy a Dipawali Gift for her husband Madan
Who liked and used to play with it in their secret hours.
She buys a gold single bangle for her Madan’s right hand
Even after finding the perfect gift, she begins worrying
That he will be displeased by her bare wrists’ appearance.
Madan comes home, looks at her and greatly shocked.
Reacts a little knowing that his reaction will make sense
When Meera opens the gift of diamond he bought for her.
As she opens the box, Madan reveals, he bought it
Selling his gold bangle, a positive sign of his masculinity.
The story stops here zooming out of the epic proportions,
The gifts that seem useless are the quests successful
We feel, they are the wisest givers and are the magi.

Meera and Madan - the Indian Names

**Bangles are traditional ornaments worn mostly by South Asian women in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Some men also wear a single bangle on the arm or wrist called kada or kara. In Sikhism, the father of a Sikh bride will give the groom a gold ring.

The Nape of Her Neck

I can visualize you on your side, sleeping
Gently, I lift the hair from your shoulders
To expose the nape of your neck
It whispers, quietly sings a sensual song
My lips gently touching your skin, we dance
My tongue ventures into the valley
The nape of your neck, indented, erotic
Eyes fixed, I see your body respond
Your skin tone reveals red, passion
You gasp, quitely your body reacts
No words are spoken, yet you speak loudly
I can smell, I can taste the desire
The nape of your neck, calls my name

~Autumn Leaves~
(New American Sonnet)

The days are getting just a little cold
Summers leaving bringing us all a change
Temperature drops, and weather acts strange
Nature wears a new dress and reacts so bold

The birds leave their nests and just fly away
Skies changes hues in no little time
Nature plays best music when is bed time
As fall transforms and makes all things brand-new

As leaves start to change hues in every single tree
They seem to fall one by one to the ground
My eyes can't help but see beauty around
As fall cool breeze makes me at times just glee

The days start getting now a little chill
And all over the place there is a thrill.
