Can you feel the real deal hoodoo or juju hex
One sex tech conquest & manifest wrecks perplex
Flex your cerebral cortex protest against the new Rex
Hullabaloo of voodoo we must contest & vex
Vain inane randy Deejays handy on dandy sandy decks
A bane.. vloggers..joggers & bloggers texts & trend treks
Reign of hooray Henry’s forays with oversized unwise specs
Disdain from plain Jane “ex” glowering while devouring Tex Mex
Train..campaign for brawn not brain.. divulging bulging necks & pecs
The lot have got an absurd follow the word of the herd complex
Flecks of lies flutter & splutter in the utter nutter echo chamber gutter that is “X”
Never ending..mind bending curmudgeon bludgeon chorus of Tyrannosaurus Techs!
Uh huh
Jambalaya
Uh oh
Crawdad gumbo
That spice
It’s Cajun nice
Girl there
With long blonde hair
She’s flame
and can’t be tamed
Legs long
Bayou beat song
So nice
Red beans and rice
Real sweet
With pepper heat
Hot day
Shrimp etouffee
So real
She makes me feel
Her eyes
Beautiful lies
Much more
Oh I adore
Love taste
Rush passion’s haste
Salt sweet
Such tender meat
De-sire
Swamp born fire
Hunger
Never sated
Give me
What she plated
Eat till
I’m full to burst
Need her
A voodoo curse
With a hitch in my get-along
which set me wrong
my get-up-and-go
is sadly misplaced
it done got up and went
cannot be traced
it's really too tragic
my mojo is spent
I need someone who
versed in voodoo
will weave their magic
do some hoodoo
come through with the juju
who'll hand me an amulet
give me a charm
which won't go amiss
so I draw no harm
with a little gris-gris
to take up the slack
and make sure my moxie
is right back on track
Altho' it's not E=mc squared,
Albert was heard to theorise
when he declared,
"Carrots are relatively good for the eyes,
it's a fact
they'll make you see well and look good too,
I'm blinding you with science,
it's not hoodoo or a voodoo act."
He then asserted,
with a wicked grin,
"It only hurts when you put them in."
voodoo magic
frightening to those who dont know
a comfort to me
“ VOODOO SALAD “
BLACK CATS IN THE WINDOW BULLET HOLES PAINT THE DOOR
SIGN SAYS FORTUNE TELLER I WOULDN’T FEEL LUCKY IN THAT STORE
THIS TOWN IS REALLY CREEPY I DON’T TRUST ANYTHING I SEE
THE SLIPPERY WET SIDEWALK IS NOW STARING BACK AT ME
WHATEVER WAS IN THE DRINK SHE MADE HAS ME SEEING DOUBLE
MY LEGS ARE WEAK AND WOBBLY I KNOW I’M IN FOR TROUBLE
I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER CAUSE I’VE READ ALL ABOUT IT
NOW I THINK I’M TASTING THAT STRANGE VOODOO SALAD
THERE’S A SHADOW FOLLOWING ME BUT IT DON’T LOOK LIKE MINE
IT’S GETTING REALLY CLOSE AM I’M RUNNING OUT OF TIME
I’M SHAKING IN MY BOOTS BUT WHEN I TURN AROUND
LOOKING RIGHT BEHIND ME THERE IS NO ONE TO BE FOUND
THE SINKING SKY ABOVE IS SETTING AWFULY LOW
WHOLE TOWN IS CLOSING IN I GOT NOWHERE TO GO
THE DAYS ARE ALL SO BLEAK NIGHTS ARE EVEN WORSE
EVERY CAR I SEE LOOKS LIKE A FUNERAL HEARSE
I’VE HEARD ALL THE RUMORS NOW I KNOW JUST WHAT IT MEANS
THERE’S SOMETHING IN THAT VOODOO SALAD THEY CALL NEW ORLEANS
'nother heartbreak
sorry
never hid one red flag
or warning label
...yet she tried
so
not all my fault
but it's a pattern
I think I might
until I know I don't
some brutal honesty
I squirm free of the noose to
answer the call of the wild
and put 500 miles
between us
before I stop for the night
at some nomad campground
stirring the embers in the
dying light
pondering
what it all means
my love
she says I lied about
well it was blind
until it opened its eyes
now out of her arms
and into my five dollar camp chair
nothing but the moon, the stars
and a VooDoo Ranger
for company
staring out over that endless sea
of loneliness
strumming my ukulele
...singing softly
"Can't You See"
The bullying and bruising
Went on and on for years,
'Til the time had come
They'd atone for her tears
Aimed at those people
The cruel and the two-faced,
For revenge is sweet ...
And she wanted a taste
If only they'd befriended her
And if only they knew,
The humble, homely girl
Practiced a little voodoo
All mouths sealed shut
And all eyes went blind,
The more they judged
The more her spell bind
No one stared as if
All eyelids were sewn shut,
No one whispered as if
All throats had been cut
Confused and in pain
They clawed with each hand,
As a power took over them
Greater than any could understand
With expanding waistlines
To match their hips,
As they ate the words
That escaped their lips
Satisfied and smiling
She had reached her goal,
They could never again
Hurt another soft soul.
A trip to New Orleans to be married by Bloody Mary
The iconic voodoo priestess of the irresistible charm of which she carries
A beautiful courtyard is the setting for the big event
Seats filled with family friends and from up above spirits sent
You could fill the presence of the spirit world in the air
A ceremony to be filled with energy wisdom positive love and lots of flair
A crow caws with approval just as the ceremony begins.
Containing the spirit of granddad within
A drawing on the pavement of a heart a symbol of their love and a new life together
A rope to tie a hand showing binding eternal love for each other
You are not just marrying the person but the goddess of love
A piece of cake is given to be shared
The remainder is given back to the earth with care
Negative thoughts written down by both create a sense of positivity and peace to be churned
At the conclusion champagne to be shared by all, a voodoo doll each to the happy couple standing tall
In the end such a beautiful wedding and spiritual cleansing
A great gathering of people past and present leaves both newlyweds beaming
There once was a young man named Lane
who literally was insane
he wrote a billet-doux
using words of voodoo
not knowing it meant to enflame!
Hair as long as the Mississippi River,
Eyes as dark as a bayou on a moonless night,
kiss as sweet as a honeysuckle flower,
and as dangerous as a rattlesnake bite.
She's a southern sinful delight.
Baptized by fire,
she ain't like any other,
her kind of lovin'
makes the devil run for cover.
Dancing in the fire light,
by the muddy waters,
she's a Cajun goddess,
and a voodoo queen's daughter.
She'll steal your soul,
with the sway of her hip,
she will take you to hell,
and make you beg for the trip.
Voodoo Poetry
She penned a poem, that had no rhyme.
Cheered on by her great, modern kind.
Out to destroy, all forms, classic!
With her own, voodoo, penned, magic!

What is this Deja VooDoo
as I hold you in my arms
Is there an island moon
to illuminate your charms
Are we lovers on the sand
when youth was ours to hold
Are the palm trees standing guard
never to grow old
Have we just transcended time
together and as one
In rapture still, to kiss the night
and touch the rising sun
You stab at my manufactured beatless heart,
and tear off my tattered burlap textile.
Puncturing the weakened breath from my tight lungs.
To you, I’m just a naked doll’s unsexed part,
while enduring revenge pain for your feigned love.
Taking mock death with a bent smile from the start.
Your list grows longer, my devotion stays true.
Our creativeness shown like expensive art.
Sharp pins and needles make me feel worthwhile,
from the tight breath puncturing my weakened lungs.
Us two, hand-in-hand, this world we must depart.

I would ask you to stop needling me
if I could feel my feet anymore
Certainly, by now, those raggedy dogs
are well traipsed off. And the crotch tweaks
only remind me that I need to go
to the bathroom again. Or is that even you?
Whoever it is, I do thank you for holding me
over the toilet, as often as you do,
and for reminding me to face my porridge
every night or so, although, I remain
such a smudge of my former self,
wedged secretly between a box spring
and a bed slat, flirting shamelessly
as I do, with the dust bunnies.
