Premium Member Dear Imaginary Youth

"Wisdom doesn't automatically come with old age. Nothing does - except wrinkles. ~ Abigail Van Buren

Hear me, my ardent, eager, bright-eyed youth.
I'm flattered that you would lend me an ear,
though you are imaginary, in truth,
and I am quite unqualified, I fear -
to utter words, unquestionably wise.
But I love to speak, and my time is near.
What I didn't know, when I was your size,
is that lives are a mix of joy and pain,
so that everyone, sometimes hurts and cries.
Sometimes, the sun shines, sometimes, it will rain.
So, have faith. There is no need to despair.
The bright sun will always come out again.
Be brave, try hard, be true, be kind and care.
Laugh, have fun, nurture yourself and others,
and you will see the sun more than your share.
Remember, we're all sisters and brothers.

Struggle 25

Should we postulate seeing beyond gain?
Hmm! Life isn't meant for peoples to endure.
In spades, no one should be going through pain,
To get good standard of living secure.

Unquestionably, this life is fair;
For every cane, is a bubbly champagne.
Yet, most if not all should be so aware;
For every rain, is a valid sun drain.

We all at one instance smell the trouble...
With burdened heart; a lofty tense weight.
Soon, our blessed luck shall become double,
If to every bit of hay we do haste.

Maturity might so get us bothered,
Positivity will have us covered.

Premium Member Perhaps - A Humpty Dumpty Tale

'Twas in London town (as I recall).
I was just a boy so small.
An egg sat smugly on a wall,
by the name of Mr. Dumpty.

Perhaps, it was Spring or early Fall,
that he held me in his thrall,
the gentleman, I soon would call
(fondly), my friend, Humpty.

Oh, how we would pontificate,
those arms would wildly gesticulate
Perhaps, I could anticipate,
he would be kaput.

But my oval friend with roundish butt,
my warning, he would then rebut,
saying, "fiddle dee dee and tut, tut, tut".
Trouble was afoot.

Perhaps, as he swayed in the breeze,
with spindly legs and knobby knees,
if he'd have listened to my pleas,
I'd have a different story.

Can one depend upon a horse,
with feet, but with no hands, of course,
to mend the consequence of force,
unquestionably gory?

It was so many years ago,
years of counseling, I'd undergo -
perhaps, I threw just a little low
to my friend Humpty.

'Twas in London town (as I recall).
I was just a boy so small.
when I tossed him that ball,
saying "Catch it, Mr. Dumpty"

Short Letter to myself

Hey girl!
Sleeping with a heavy heart still?
Unquestionably, I understant!
I understand the anxiety,
the pain, the depression
of things not going your way.
Unquestionably, I understand!
I understand the weight,
the suffocation, the desolation.
But hold up still,
Wipe off tears still,
And Hit the road,
For, the journey ain't over yet!!!

Premium Member Apple and a Rose

I brushed water colors with thoughts of Adam's Eve
and the fallen one who was disguised to deceive
this naked nymph, who strikes a nubile pose
offering a ripened apple and a crimson rose

Both face and body, painted innocently pure
her femininity was unquestionably demure
but with forbidden fruit bitten, it was all lost
From Eden's paradise she and Adam were tossed.

Uprooted as a tree, she forfeited divine favor
The evil reptile's lie succeeded to enslave her
Woe to the male offspring she was created to bear
One killed by the hand of the other, his plight forswear

To them, closed forever was the garden's gate
The finality of death then became mankind's fate
A wrong path was chosen when she'd been warned
gave way to mortality that all of us have mourned

We Changed What We Loved

We have opened each other up,
inspected and judged,
adjusted the unwanted
to our better liking.

We have tweaked and fenagled,
all those foibles,
picadilloes and perceived flaws,
tried very hard to smooth-out
all those rough edges.

We are still working on one another.
ever watchful for new defects and slipups,
and have quite forgotten, who we were before
we demanded perfection...

that carefree, innocent time
when an all-encompassing love
accepted unquestionably,
a broken past and a brave heart.

Opinionated Correctness

The majority see normality in their conformity of reality
think the minority less ordinary living independently of society
so the predominantly found commonality to follow the herd unquestionably
as those unobjectionably herded sheep live undeveloped intellectually
for the safety to be safely integrated with humanity
in a delusional state of superiority to protect their sensitivity
but to truly go where you please is a sign of your integrity
when you choose to have your own views and be standing for them separately
risk the social repercussions which return your way indefinitely
when you learn that they lack concern as they have no way of thinking free
the cursing gift that you live with that doesn’t need authority
or popularity through obscurity avoiding any form of scrutiny
knowing social approval’s only useful if you want anonymity

Debris

If only tears could talk,
They would surely be cutthroats.
If only fear could walk,
It would blindly go toward you.
And if only grudges are strong,
It would hold you forever.

If I would be honest about what I feel,
and follow the lead of my freewill,
I will unquestionably end up in hell,
And yet I will still say that I am well.

This ain't just poetry or one of the romantic passages.
This is mind and heart unleashing the damages,
When the mind says no and the heart no longer says yes either,
Neither yes nor no, it no longer knew what to say, for it has withered,
And the soul that aches is silenced by the guilt of morality,
Tell me you will be there for me in another infinity.

A Dog's Day and Depression

It's his smile that gets me through,
I wonder if he no's what his smile can do,
He gives so much so willingly,
without question without doubt, so freely
and then he asks for so little in return
Unlike the greed of our mere humanity
His unconditional love for me
Is unquestionably undeniable to see
He can see through my mask so easily
The brave face this warriors worn daily
And he simply smiles and it slips away
But he's right next to me and will stay
Then everything doesn't seem so awful
As you look at that goofy smile so loveable
It's ok if the tears begin to fall,
He will catch them all as they trickle
Cuddles aren't in short supply neither
No matter how many you require either
And when you're feeling better
He'll take you for a stroll through nature,
Smiling tongue hanging tail wagging
he's been a good boy so he'll get a treat
Because hes just saved me again from defeat
He simply smiles back at me as I'm thinking it through
I wonder if he truly knows how his smile saves me constantly on the daily to

Premium Member Autumn Fallings

As the fall is apon us I feel anew
Seeing all the beauty that is in you
Our story so untold
I cannot wait for it to unfold
You are so unexpected
I keep waiting for the ball to drop or be rejected
I have waited all my life to meet someone who
Could make me feel all the feels that you do
Your sweet and kind in all the best ways
I feel so inadequate in what I write and say
You make me feel unquestionably alive
In just being good and kind to you I strive
How can I possibly match the way you make me feel
When I need to pinch myself just to confirm you're real
Those brown eyes matching all the colors I hold dear
You alone washing away all my life's fears
I will stay sted fast as cold sets in
Keeping you warm till winters end

Premium Member Fate and Misfortunes

If, even for once in our life,
We exclaimed: " How beautiful life is."

Unquestionably,

We have justified all misfortunes,
That fate does upon us bring!

Premium Member Lackluster Is My Middle Name

Lackluster is my middle name
You see, I’m rather ordinary
To renown I have no claim,
I’m to be expected, customary.
Some call me rather mediocre
In truth, I know I’m mundane
Certainly not a powerbroker,
I’ll be unquestionably plain,
Admitting I’m not very smart
But I do know my way around
And, friends, I’ve a good heart
My feet firmly on solid ground.

Premium Member Greed

About all your possessions, you blab
You’re trying to dream up a need ~~
Scooping up everything you can grab
I call that, unquestionably, GREED!

Premium Member Karma Orchids

The purple orchid seemed flawed
At first glance, twisting yet not ugly
Like an artist who ruins a canvas
In distracted strokes of purple
In a quest to reach out to a sunset
Appearing unworthy of a second glance
Bearing the brunt of his twisted strokes
Till the restless night is broken by the dawn
Producing the most spectacular bloom
Complex and yet mysterious in its appearance
Unquestionably sweet, valued for its many
Differences with other blooms, touching him
As the artist caresses the soft outlines of purple
Karma entwined in hues of royalty and purity
Radiating with freshness that a new day brings
A magic fragrance in the air with an endive
Like flavour, rich to garnish your very soul!
