A suicide none dare declare

Shàngó!
Where are your fiery eyes,
that spit fear into burning coal,
that blaze with warmth and glow,
a conflagrator dancing with flames?

Who dares invoke your name in sin,
and not have their tongue seared?
You summon thunder as a hound to hunt,
their wealth and souls it strikes at once,
swift as lightning no man can withstand.

Of saying,
My grandchild is

The most wonderful
The most intelligent,
It shows, it is so evident,

Joyous, Thunderous Awakening

Delightful pulse of lightening and thunder,
These elements, energy empowered,
Evergreen sages transmute old wonder
With silver rain magically showered.

Lightening ignites sparkle in my wide eyes.
Thunder fills my mind with stark remembrance.
Energetic discord strikes undisguised.
Away flows eclectic dissonance!

The Little Thunder

I saw a streak of living flame,
with no regard for rule or name;
It tumbled through the morning grass,
as if the sun had come to pass.

Its paws struck earth in tiny drums,
like thunder where the daylight hums;
The wind bent low to kiss its ear,
the sky leaned down to watch it near.

The art was most beautiful on the dark canvas:
a background that set up a stage for unfolding
explosions of light struck beneath growls of thunder
as swift swords of steel slash full clouds once holding-
the deluge, escaping as a glistening wonder.

I longed for it, the release
I wouldn't mind if it rained all day
At least one of us gets to empty ourselves

When It Rains

When it rains it catches you completely off guard 
No mercy when it thunders and comes down hard
Your mind and heart starts to go down memory lane
Thinking about accidents and love that went in vain
It's inconvenient and it slows normal activities down
But it provides clean air leaving a saturated ground
It's cold and could be deadly

The Loudest Silence

in the air, just after the storm
there is a stillness,
changing the heart, the soul
so wherever light falls
there are shadows of regret
reflected in the music
the rhythm of serenity
fading beneath the sea of grief
wisdoms shame our deeds
as the stars reveal each pitiful
pleasure, each intimate gesture

Loud thunder,

dancing in the rain like a clown,

Echoes of a Storm

The thunder rolls across the sky, 
right after the flash of light
spreads across the horizon,
