Notes About The Poem

This piece has been written for Craig's contest ~ 'Ceraunophilia' ..

Ceraunophilia

I heard the hollowness that this heart hithers ~
but to tame my tears, must I trust the twilight
that ripped me in tremors and toxic tales,
the titanium lightning that traded me thirsty,
like the thunder that cuts across the ribbed sky?
these tantalizing trembles of Thor have left me,
wilting in memories, where moon rests in malice
and the monsoon maiden murmurs in wrath,
unspoken within roars of wallflower leopards ~
who ink me, laced with tiger-lilies and lethal lies.

I ache for you, stretched across sun sighs,
a bereaved goddess of thunderstorms,
vows to sear within silver streaks of solace
stripped of silk and sacrifice,in rust-skin revolt,
seething a smile across slaughtered stars,
and be the Bronté light in brooding blindness,
that cunning cyans cease to code and conceal,
I am the feminine glitch of golden gloom ~
perfumed with mercuric petals that echo rain,
in the restless release of reverent renaissance...

“ I ache for you, stretched across sun sighs, a bereaved goddess of thunderstorms, vows to sear within silver streaks of solace stripped of silk and sacrifice,in rust-skin revolt, seething a smile across slaughtered stars,” This is breathtaking and so beautiful with crazy good alliteration! It flows like water so naturally from you! Bravo!

Dear Hiys, your great poetry has a captivating story that weaves naturalistic components with personal sentiments, resulting in a complex mosaic of imagery and symbolism. The linguistic content is rich and vivid, which enhances the poem's overall effect. The subject was conceptually sound. I hope you're doing better. Sending you many light rays and best wishes for the contest.

I am not in a position to say positive things about lightning and thunderstorms. I can't say I like them and definitely not love them. This one reads like a good contender to me for the contest. Way to go. Sara K.

Awwwn sweet Anne-Lise, thank you for reading this ever so kindly, I'm glad that you enjoyed the poetic techniques here ~ it was a bit hard to do since I tend to frivolously float in infinte free words, lines are a bit difficult for me lol. But gave it a go! So means the world that you loved reading this, encourages me alot! Sending you fairylight and moonbeams, hugggsszz :)
