The Propeller Of My Greatness

"The wound is the place where the light enters you"
— Rumi
..................................
So much bleeding, yet no blood,
From heartbreaks I have suffered.
They are only saints when far from my bed,
But become demons after feasting on me in bed.

I was turned into an abandoned dog,
That waited in vain for a love that has flown away,
Yet another unreciprocated love dissolving into thin air,
Leaving a wound you thought no balm could heal.

But that heart severally broken
Still holds love that shines like pure gold,
With it I will still love even more
Erasing all scars of past disappointments.

It's that shattered heart that will still shine the light,
That will guide my steps in the dark,
As I trudge on the pathway of success,
Without a faltering too heavy to control.

Wait at the abyss of sorrow
As I climb to the top of the success ladder,
Those wounds you inflicted became the propeller
That lifted me into the greatness my life now embraces.

STORY STORY

I have a habit to squash,
An ardent disciple of nyash,

I'm getting born again,
Never to follow it again,

From it I've lost my teeth,
Even from those that are petit,

Severally fell into ditches,
Look at all these stitches,

The latest hitting a wall,
Nyash is perilous as a whole,

Monthly Rhyme One

In the event we go out, make sure you have logged out from the internet.
I have a perfume business, I have mastered dozens of scents to the point I know what my client needs without a sent whats app request.
I trip severally, that’s when I remember the saying everything is not meant to be.
It is after lent period that Jesus told His followers He’ll descent.
Until then, I always cement my relationship with God to avoid the devil’s torment.

Love

It's a dejávu
I can't really give a clear view
I could be blind for all I care
But my heart beat is a drum I can't ignore

This feeling is rare
I have fallen only to sustain bruises severally
But this fall is somewhat different
It comes with a bonus of sensations I can't quite explain

If I was a pencil
I would sharpen my graphite alittle bit more to highlight what I feel
But I can only align this to love

The only cacoon that opens to beauty
A painful shell to break but not one can resist
Lately I've been love thrilled like never
It's scary to admit but I'm not ashamed

If my drum beats are scribbled with your name
Would you dance to my tune?
Not to be a laughing stalk
But the road to my drum storage room right in the septum of my heart.

The New Year's Twilight

I can hear the bells jingle
My nose picks up the last month’s fragrance
The hassle to just see the month nigh tingle
The last wrap of it, a bundle of abundance

The first line, full of enthusiasm
So fresh, so renewed, so focused on definite paradigm
The debut of the other eleven all anchored on thee
Carefully we scripted, fashioned to never ree

To the countdown we began
At times in storms, rained on but on we reign
We were once our bellies, twice on our knees, severally on both twos and fours
But the beauty therein lied in the drive to maneuver through the rows

The most hyped moments, the most lowly of all
All made the journey beautiful and forlonged
To just sum the buds into fruits
To just water the shoot to foliage, capillaries to roots

So we see the hallmark of the sojourn
In each of the twelve stars taken head-on
Sum up and see whether it’s twilight
Or uncontained sunlight!

The Old Sailor

He has lived his life on the sea,
He has gone on several voyages,
Adventurous and death defying ones,
Nights and days on turbulent seas,
Shipwrecked on islands,
Escaped the swords of vile men,
Discovered lost islands and treasures,
Battled mysterious creatures,
Gone through mystical timelines,
Separated severally from his family,
Came back from a long voyage,
Met an estranged wife and withdrawn children,
This redefined his itinerary,
It changed his course,
Honoured for his unparalleled discoveries,
Awarded for his unflinching courage,
His bravery took him
 through other worlds and back.

The Smile That Speaks Volume

Concealing hurts,
Camouflaging heartbreak with humor.

With beam, belies
the melancholy and pain within;

It speaks courage,
From a heart broken severally;

It speaks of strength,
Though weary, it will believe again;

It speaks of Hope,
Though weary, it will believe again;

It speaks volume,
Millions of words that can't be uttered.

Corona Times

CORONA TIMES
------------------

Who are all become remaining , to survive
While re-collecting the isolate paintings

Feeble announcement from sources reliable
Really Corona arriving to cost and routine

Mutated epidemics severally endangered in
Dictating letters with smell of blood inside.

People are running but basis the flash
They may have dark dent of small pox in mind

World is confined to an volatile spot , hence
Segregations are all impossible tasks.

No longer we can hide inside a shade
What else the doctrine of co-existence

Do expect anything in random and baseless
Take a vacation from good days and dreaming

How long deep sufferings and fled in a life
Concurred all pain with a smile in the lip

Once again we need to re- organize
So as to retain the valleys in green

Expecting world is now warming behind us
No excuse , we ought to score on this day.

Fortaleza

As a loosed bird and the broad liberties of the sky,
So have been long life’s borderless freedoms and I;
I often have kissed countless trolls’ decoying lips,
And thought their lush mouths such nectared tips.

I severally have ridden on the precarious backs
Of seamless airs and on swift-swimming sharks,
Whereon Fate and Time had gigantic glutting turn;
Soiling the white soul in which raging embers burn.

I never have seen vast humanity’s single heart,
Kind enough to lend even a distant aiding hand;
Always have larger world’s gloatingly fired eyes
Weirdly relished this one-man’s lamenting band.

Never have greenest dreams and rawest sorrows
Met so juxtaposedly on bullish life's shifting plane;
Nor guillotined goals thus defied Destiny’s gallows,
To pay with hope such low lot as only pariahs gain.

He's never alone who with his intact dreams abides,
For fortune will someday show her soft hidden sides.

Chance To Love

Go to babies you will understand love
Merely looking at them
You hear their earthen cries that
Shows their love language
Babies are harmless
Pure beings
Filled with innocence
Their smiles is admired by
God and man
Boys running after lizards
Girls attracted to their love toys
Forest citizens the monkey
Though ugly as claimed but
Cares for their babies without joke
As they stick to their mothers belly
The tallest forest citizen Giraffe
After birth kicks her baby severally
Until she walks around
It is not harshness
It is motherly pet for courage
Mothers are always fulfilled when
Their children are making progress.

I Am Defeated By Sin

Sin

Has become my daily bread
hope is dead
to do good I have severally tried
tears I have cried
dominant is sin
its damage I have seen
although I pray
but seems as if I play
no change
same-old page
I am hopeless
defeated by sinfulness
day and night
struggle to get divine light
I am deep in sorrow
my faith is so narrow.

A Loud Cry of My Faith

A Loud Cry of My Faith

I tried to be holy but into sin I always fall
whom to call ?
a loud cry of my faith
knowing that I fail to do good
so rude
my faith complained to me severally
I go to Church
I do pray
but all seems to be a game-play
tear
fear
of my faith that cries day and night
nothing seems to be right
my soul is sick
help I seek
but still
no change
no courage
dirty age
I am just sinful
it's sorrowful
I have been troubling my own faith
lack of love
full of hate

a cry so loud
with some doubt
in and out
faith in droght
I fail to be holy
I feel so sorry

I am swimming deep in strife
crying, crying is faith of my life
bleeding like I am injured by knife.

Desperate Love

Every dawn starts an extreme desire
A desire to have her by my side,
May be cuddle her,not even kissing
That alone can quench my thirst for her
I know she doesn't love me
She has proven it severally
But my heart won't listen
It's firm and stubborn for her.
It lures me to calling her at night
To disappointments,no answer
Just like she didn't answer last night
'May be she's doing the dishes'
My heart would murmur to me
But frankly its much late for dishes
'Then may be she's out to pee'
It'd respond quickly.
She snubs me, deliberately
I've seen her go out with Ivan
And yeah,I confirmed they kissed at the party
My best poem ever,I wrote to her last summer,
I found it in the dustbin, ramshackled
She's called me a fool,idiot,gobshite
Moron...let me conceal the rest
But my foolish heart won't listen
It's firm and stubborn for her
It's called desperate love,
May be you're a victim
But your heart just murmured
'Of course you're not'
Just to blindfold you.
What can I do?

Sonnet Xiv: I Sing of His Faithfulness

SONNET XIV
I SING OF HIS FAITHFULNESS

Since Childhood have I severally been told
That the Blessed Mind Knows Gratitude
Till lately, this has been more of a Mystery

That His Promises are there,
That He is good with ever enduring Mercies
That for me, He works all things for good.

The Grace that gave me all I deserved not,
And His Mercies that exempt me from Karma
That it all comes from Him

That by me, all has gone exacly as planned; No,
But; He has daily led me to the expected end
Beyond what Eyes have seen or Ears heard
The Light I’ve seen I’ll share
I’ll sing of His Faithfulness.

Waiting

Taunted, abused and blamed,
For their mistakes for which I was framed
Caned, yelled at and flogged,
But was my innocence ever proved?

You caned me and boasted,
My son, my bad son I have flogged,
Severally, now a reformed son he is,
But little known is this wound hard to heal.

You never realise we don't talk,
Make stories, side by side walk,
You never think of how sick I feel,
About your present-absence and how slow I heal.

I feel lonely and abandoned,
In a dark space with no shades,
I hear the roars of lions,
And the whoops and grunts,
I feel weak and vulnerable.

Dear dad, I will be waiting,
Waiting,
Waiting for you here shivering,
In this open space, in this darkness.
