The New Year's Twilight

I can hear the bells jingle
My nose picks up the last month’s fragrance
The hassle to just see the month nigh tingle
The last wrap of it, a bundle of abundance

The first line, full of enthusiasm
So fresh, so renewed, so focused on definite paradigm
The debut of the other eleven all anchored on thee
Carefully we scripted, fashioned to never ree

To the countdown we began
At times in storms, rained on but on we reign
We were once our bellies, twice on our knees, severally on both twos and fours
But the beauty therein lied in the drive to maneuver through the rows

The most hyped moments, the most lowly of all
All made the journey beautiful and forlonged
To just sum the buds into fruits
To just water the shoot to foliage, capillaries to roots

So we see the hallmark of the sojourn
In each of the twelve stars taken head-on
Sum up and see whether it’s twilight
Or uncontained sunlight!
