THE WIZARD
Maxwell is a jolly old wizard
One day he got caught in a blizzard
never again will he go
to a place where there's snow
Prefers to lie in the sun like a lizard
SAT AT AN ANGLE
Perhaps this story I should not be sharing
Nothing under his shorts was he wearing
when he sat at an angle
from his shorts it would dangle
Not bothered not a sign he was caring
BLADDERWRACK
A group climbed up a high haystack
Then consumed a plate of fresh bladderwrack
constipation relieved
expected outcome achieved
They are now all feeling quite laid-back
DAISY
There's a myth surrounding old Daisy
reputed she was always quite lazy
always dux of her class
every subject she'd pass
The evidence seems to be hazy
A FULL BLADDER
Decided she'd climb a five metre ladder
Thirteen rungs up !! Bursting!! She's got a full bladder
peed from way above ground
many ants they got drowned
Job done she's now feeling much gladder
I’m a Deadhead
Despite so many years of misgivings
So many hours wandering
Wondering what the hell am I doing
Listening yet again
Despite so many decades now drug free
Again and again back I come
Drawn in by some quality
Which only today
Fifty years on in my headstrongness
I can finally see
What pulls us in and binds us down
Is not so much the driving laid-back grooves
Or open-ended looping leads
And uncanny jams willing to bravely go
Where no band had ever gone before
As simply Garcia’s tone and phrasing
Both with his guitar strings and vocal chords
A lilting, yearning, aspiring, soulful sound
Striving to reach what is inherently beyond reach
Beyond grasp, but clearly there
Right there before us in the dark
Shining, shimmering, waiting, welcoming
An inevitable reunion
With an ineffable ground
(9/23/26)
Tethers float & tickle like feathers
I'm aloft unaware of outside weathers
Evening enhanced by colloquial pleasures
Malleable & manipulated
Esoterica like yours specifically stipulated
"Tie me to your tongue" I sing
Oh I utter the strangest things!
Yet I must admit I'm fully focussed
Overjoyed at this conversational hocus pocus
Unusually laid back & vocally gushing
Rampant points of interest gain further pushing
Tantalise & give me traction
Obligated now to end-goal satisfaction
Nerve endings sever in hyperspace
"Great subject matter expert kept perfect pace!"
Unbiased reviews are fully flowing
Eloquence like yours has me all glowing
For you? Anything. But it must be returned.
My heart is pretty much always in pieces.
If you can’t work a puzzle? Just walk away.
I tend to chase very dangerous photos,
capturing that dirt road just to get a buzz.
Boredom is something I cannot tolerate,
if you like it laid back? I’m not that space.
Handle with care unless it’s not the time,
be attentive and treat me appropriately.
I will eagerly give all I have for you to stay,
the caveat is you must want to possess me.
Withering away without an amorous touch,
fall hard for my seduction then take control.
It must be returned, but for you? Anything.
I’ve seen no flowers feigning a false grin,
Nor birds that with a cheerless face e’er croon,
Nor trees that fret in vain loss of lush green,
Dolphins depressed, nor weary waning moon,
Reindeers devoid of all their self esteem,
Polar bears that cannot take it easy,
Wild cats worried on a fuzzy vague whim,
Laid-back they live easy as waves in sea,
In peace as they practise a lifelong Zen
Of ducks that meditate whilst swim at ease….
Alas, he whose mind’s puffed-up seems but man,
Never at peace, how so fair wafts the breeze.
Smug at the crest of Creation’s long chain,
Beware O man, head over heart’s thy bane.

The Rudolph poser got away from the police
They chased her but she blended into the ice, as fleece
She cannot get away with it, a detective said with a snap
But they caught up with her because she had taken a nap.
How dare you pretend to be Rudolph, the detective said.
Rudolph poser was groggy; she laid back down her head.
When did you say you were Rudolph? Asked another.
She didn’t ever say it said her cousin, uncle, aunt and mother.
Then how can we arrest her for posing as Rudolph? Asked the Popo.
You can’t stated Santa with a friendly “ho ho ho”.
Who started this rumor? Because it is a lie.
They backed off immediately; according to Dwarf Guy.

A "sleazy" big band sound is
often characterized by
slow-to-mid-tempo swing
, heavy, muted brass,
and a dark, gritty atmosphere
---------------------------------
Wind wafting wisteria blooms, so gently;
In the purple haze of laid-back summer.
Milky moon gazes through onyx, intently
Red rose shivers, at drumroll of thunder.
Honeyed noon longs for rainbow sunset;
And sable shadows start to sneak away.
Sunrise on molten sea, liquid gold asset!
Yesterday lives in vibrant heart of today.
Farewell flowers. Hail pretty colors, fall!
In beauty, scarlet cardinal is still singing.
Trampled, hued leaves of nature's thrall,
Of no end. Mauve butterflies are winging.
My buddy Harley never smiles
Hard to know what’s on his mind.
At times Harley’s not such an enigma.
Come dinner time he’ll surely remind you.
When he’s earned treats he’ll nudge you.
Time for his business? He’ll jingle chimes.
Harley hates winter and lets you know:
His walks are cut short, quick in-and-out.
Harley’s not much of a guard dog,
He’s much too friendly, laid-back and easygoing.
He’s quiet and barely vocal,
Might not bark to save his life.
Harley’s always so excited to see me
He’s got this dance that he performs.
Harley’s the most genuine and wonderful companion
There’ll never be anyone more delightfully affectionate.

We can see
red
feel
blue,
sing the
blues,
be
green
with envy,
black-
hearted or laid back with mellow
yellow,
play
black
jack, and eat an
orange.
Why can’t we hear magenta,
taste chartreuse,
and smell vermillion?
Thanksgiving Day being the same old routine
As a Turkey, it makes them mean
Fork and Knife
Turkey Find
Butterball type
Turkey ax
Dig in feast eat
Year after year same drill
The Turkey being the one to fulfill
Woo’s me no more
As Turkey Freddie says, he’s hitting the road
Greyhound bus bound
Inspirated and encouraged sound
Traveling away from Thanksgiving Day scene
No cutting on me
New horizons being the enterprising frontier
Vacation laid back
Sunny Florida
Embracing the Florida sun
Nothing but sheer fun
Soaking up the beach, and no thought of Thanksgiving among
Peace and tranquility
Refreshing reality
Other Turkeys can Gooble Gooble if they want to
Calm relaxing thoughts
Having no dive of the folk and knife
Making sure I stay lean
Let the folks at dinner tables be mean
Turkey Freddie will be working on his tan
Thanksgiving folks are not his fan
While cut shall be done on Turkey Freddie
Oven away
Busy on a getaway
Turkey Freddie eat won’t be seek.
Pack your bags
We are off to the airport
Our Flight #212 was called
Our plane is running down the runway
Into the friendly skies
European places
Just you, me and anyone else who wants to join
Enriched goodness and elegance
Feel the avion
History with its own aroma
Reflecting back enjoying the laid back
Relaxed setting
Sights and sounds
Loveliness like no other
Picture perfect
European cuisine
Wine sip
European flavor
Just savor
Foreign languages accent all around
Romantic violin’s feeling enchanted
An evening of dance under the stars and moon
Kisses upon kisses
Candlelight sensation
Walking along the shores

Dear girl I’ve never met,
Whether it’ll be planned or not, you’ll always be
in my thoughts.
Crazy romantic, chilled and laid-back — I hope it
will go well.
I’ll try my best to make you happy — I’ll call the
shots.
We’re gonna be singing, laughing, crying — I can
tell.
Dear girl I’ve never met,
Every time I close my eyes, I start to think of you,
and everything we could do.
We could kiss and dance in the rain, just live in
the moment.
Dear girl I’ve never met,
We could go on a car trip and just sing our
hearts out — or I’ll serenade you
just to make you smile, ‘cause you own it.
We could just go crazy and do something
stupid — whatever it may be, that’s the main
proponent.
Dear girl I’ve never met,
I’ll do anything to make sure you’re happy and
healthy.
If something’s wrong, just express it all to me.
I’ll always do my best, even though I might not
be wealthy.
I just hope when we meet you’ll see what I see —
a beautiful girl who’s worth anything,
and captured my heart so stealthily.
I’ve never been kissed on the dance floor.
With him, I feel light-hearted,
but apart, I’m utterly devastated.
I’m a dreamer, he’s laid-back,
and without a genuine connection, our love feels
like scenes from a disconnected game—
where hate destroys, yet love seeks to heal.
But with each passing day, my love for him dwindles.
We are apart because this kind of love cannot thrive.
We never dance; we never kiss on the dance floor.
Our rhythms never sync; he lacks that spark,
and so, a kiss on the dance floor has eluded me.
Feelings shift when loneliness takes their place.
Love wavers,
when a marriage crumbles,
as I wish and hope our love was strong enough
to bridge the gap.
Unlike wildflowers plucked without care,
my love was stunted,
never given the chance to blossom.
Still, I hold a profound respect for him.
A part of me must make a choice,
and so I choose happiness; I choose solitude
over the confusion of pity masquerading as love.
Pride, one thing they taught us in south
With everything we do all way the cooking
No wonder everyone wants live taste of tradition
Passed down generations it make mouth's water
The morals of man strongly respected
Southern pride, where your word is bond
And people are laid back and different
We believe in whooping that ass if needed
Working sun up, sun down the farms needed tend
Country way of life without big city living
Staying free do not disgrace my flag
It's not a racist thing but of honor I stand
To myself as I do my country it not touch ground
Racism isn't color thing, hatred of fellow man
Southern pride, last name was one's integrity
It's milk gravy/biscuits, grits on the griddle, sweet tea
Knowing a man's worth by his teachings
Standing tall in ourselves, where we come from
Its southern thing, pride of Carolina's I'm from
Where justice once ruled, independence was fought
But truth, liberty, freedom fall to grace of man
Let not die past, prosper our experience
Southern pride, to old know any better
To young give a dump about your feelings
Straight up!!!
