Premium Member Pie Toss

While I'm the greatest (I and I alone),
I think of the ignominy I've known,
and ask, "can time erase
the mess upon my face
before another well-aimed pie is thrown?"

A TOSS UP

Shall I compare thee to an elephant?
Of course not, you’re a motor car.
And if I put you in the zoo,
No-one would come and look at you.
You do more harm than him I fear,
For you pollute the atmosphere.
Though he blows methane in the air,
His carbon footprint can’t compare
To the ozone damage that you do,
With noxious gasses passing through.
But still you’ll be the choice for me.
You’re quicker between A and B

Seeing Spots

Physicists may say,
'Random is not truly random,
it only appears to be,'
but another theory goes,
(according to me)
'Not so when playing games of chance,'
(and I have done the sums)
for this experiment logic states,
'The odds in favour are 5 to 1.'
As I spy with my little eye,
seeing spots and counting dots
on a regular die,
(these don't go to 11)
the 2 opposing sides,
of which there are 6, total 7.
So throw the bones or toss the dice,
whichever way you slice 'em,
when you're done having fun,
in all, the pips on a single die number 21.
And the line at the bottom...
roll 'em if you got 'em!

Toss a Smidgen

Toss a smidgen
To a pigeon
And you know he’ll eat it,
Though once fed
A crumb of bread,
You can’t get him to beat it.

Still, what’s worse
And worth a curse
Are seagulls if you’re snacking,
For I’ve found
When food’s around,
They sometimes try attacking.

My advice –
You’ll pay the price
By tempting those with feathers,
For they know
Where humans go,
There’s food in any weathers.

Premium Member it's a toss

sometimes wonder
if my heart were a desert
would i venture to grow
one little cactus flower
all to nurture my hope
for humanity

paper hearts ... what a waste

Power In The Tongue

There is power in the tongue.
Words can cause good things to happen or bad things to happen.
People tell me that I am not going to make it in life.
My failures came to life.
Didn't want to believe they were right.
I toss and turn each night.
My failures are bonding me.
Don't think I have the strength to win this fight.
Just want success and happiness in my life.
People are worried.
Don't worry, everything will be alright.

Well Wishes

Coin toss
Close eyes, deep breath
Fingers crossed on both hands
Make a wish for your top desire
Open eyes.

To Toss or Keep

I almost handed it in—
that letter with my name at the bottom,
typed in a rush,
heavy with deadlines and demands
I couldn’t carry anymore.

I watched the ink dry,
wondered,
is it time to walk away,
or am I giving up
on something that hasn’t started yet?

But I didn’t.
I couldn’t.
I folded it,
because turning it in meant
losing the fight
I’m not ready to quit.

So I tucked it back into my drawer,
and now I sit,
wondering if staying
is courage
or fear.

Premium Member trying to toss my cookies

I tried to toss my cookies, but they all ran back.
Their high top boots made a clickety clackety clack
Leave me alone! I yelled, as one jumped on my back.
I could not shake this high top, his name was Zack.
Someone ran out to help me, I think it was Mack.
Tossing cookies is not easy for me after a snack.

Premium Member Lets Toss Heads Or Tails

indifference flows
          parallel to our concerns
            truth lies in between

Toss Worth

Serves to break fast bread
Preserving four loafs read

The bread winner
The family pitch runner
Finishing to finding treasure

Read is to read also re ad
Adding again to mean
Keen to add knowledge

Reading is seeking knowledge
Bread to come searching money

Knowledge or Money?
A toss of coin round like Earth
What’s more worth?

They Don'T Give a Toss

The most selfish will say others act for attention,
it’s the easiest way to dismiss a situation,
they don’t believe others suffer
and also believe themselves tougher
their inward claiming outward
not dependable and a coward
self important asking favours
never graft, slave or admit their behaviour,
they’ll lie after being caught out
and their rules are different no doubt,
create their own little world
comforted and assured
expect your help but in your need they'll only ignore,
they act as though in charge
as though head or boss,
heed my words however close you are,
leave them behind it’ll save you loss,
they just don't care,
they don't give a toss.
