Pardon My Outrage

Someone serving life in prison
Some way, somehow gets the nod
To release him, like an order
From a despot or a god.

The same applies to lowlife thugs
Whose insurrection acts,
When they stormed the U.S. Capitol,
Were changed to lies from facts.

When power goes to someone’s head,
It’s like a weird disease
Where he violates the law
And justice drops down to its knees.

Half the country hates it,
While the other seems to hail
The release of felons who should be,
Most rightfully, in jail.

I guess it’s pretty obvious
In which half I belong.
These pardons reek of villainy
And are simply, flat-out wrong!

Love And Let Live

Racism, ageism, sexism, name it!
If there was tech-ism, we’d have to game it
Why should the pattern of reckless decision
Further a hate based on sex or religion

Why not let love and let live be your “ism”
Spreading its beauty like light through a prism
Loveism, likeism, careism, make it!
After a while, you would not have to fake it

What if our would had no isms at all
Changing the course of our strange little ball
Love and let live and leave others alone
Foster the greatest true love ever known

Let me new tell ya about belle;
Melanie: Her coffee is filled with splendor!
For I submit to her pretty: skin deep;
She effects me,
Like a rock to a river –

Let my prayer be prepared,
Like angel dust,
And blaze up into heaven,
As a chariot;
So, laud an audience with God,
Who is above;
For she’s the one I want,
In my heart O’ love;

"Sorry", said often
is an "out of jail free card"
some play it daily.

Mind's minute mirage may muffle,
But biding by blinding brings burns.
Severely she'll sunder, so scuffle,
'Til tomorrow, tomorrow turns.

Like a Smith and Wesson:
Weaponry,
What comes shooting out,
Every word of me:
Endowed with a round,
Butt, and balcony,
She harkens to hotness:
Her Summer eave,
Is a chocolate, dipped, dark as
A forest green,
Canopy –

Herein lay the words,
That geyser burst in:
She’s a happening tapestry,
Well-versed in,

Person; As an aurum recipe,
And fly like a dart: trajectory;
Heaven, I declare exactly,
Her sexy lexicon: olfactory –

Youthful to begin with

Young at heart…
Torn apart by the death cart…
Depart from me,
Ludicrous liberty

End me to begin you…
Mend me to forgive you…
Your sins are covered with mercy
From within, I heard from Your joyous glee

Compassionate is Your spirit to me, oh Lord of Accord

I’m aboard your ship of serenity
Free me for an eternity and beyond
I’m fond of our Bond of grace graciously

On The Money

To Americans, July 4th
is Independence Day,
with; barbecues, concerts, fireworks,
picnics, parades, patriotic festivities,
(a.k.a., Freedom Day).
Despite the star-spangled banner's,
red, white and blue,
to that of the British Union Jack,
being identical in hue,
flag-waving they're compelled,
or conditioned, so to do.
The U.S. Constitution does define,
'Treason' as... the only crime
consisting of levying war
against them, and/or,
to their enemies adhering,
with comfort and aid
by all means conveyed.
To those in England,
considering, in 1776,
colonists went their own sweet way,
it's the ultimate 'Treason Day'.
And, altho' the U.S. touts
'Separation of Church and State',
yea, verily I say,
is it not hypocritically unjust
of them to print on their money,
'In God We Trust'?

Anger see’s it’s dwelling seldom blessed.
Never allowing a peaceful night of rest.
Gibberish can often leave others distressed.
Edifying words will always pass the test.
Rushed thoughts are never from your best.

Ended in misery

The heat creeps into the empty fabric
only getting colder
inside the tightly closed gray jacket
no warmth of jokes and laughter
nor embraces that are increasingly glowing
please, close your eyes for a moment
let me kiss between your reddened eyelids
bitterness of isolation

And if it's tomorrow
take the time for a final greeting
when I'm still stuck at the end of the road
so that the pressure on our shoulders will lighten

If it's still 20 counts
let's turn away before the bitterness ends and silences
before regret and suffocation grip us even more
before forgiveness and love are expressed again

Premium Member Stormy Blues

Eyes that burrow their way into my soul.
Bringing out what I do not show or share with most.
Hearing the pain in my words before I see it myself.
Seeing the tears well up in my eyes even when I hide them.
Those eyes colored like a storm over the ocean, blue but with the perfect mixture of grey.
Those stormy blue eyes find their way through my secrets so easily.
Calm yet confident, hyper yet sassy. Just stormy blues.
