Courage Finds Its Balance

A quiet dare to every fear that said I shouldn't chase this thrill,
each shaky push a promise that I'd bend the board to my own skill.

The concrete hummed beneath me like it knew I'd come to rise,
and every wobble taught me how to trust the fire behind my eyes.

The park became my canvas, every ramp a line to trace my name,
each rail a chance to rewrite chapters where I once felt small or tame.

Falls turned into teachers, bruises into proof I showed up strong,
and every scrape reminded me I've had resilience all along.

I learned to carve with courage, letting motion pull me through,
discovering that age can't cage the part of me that still feels new.

There's art in every risk I take, in every trick I dare to start,
because there's always more to learn when you ride with an open heart.

Premium Member SHADOW OF TEARS

Saturday was our one day,
seeing our friends and laughing.
Couple on wood skating floor,
around we loved to go~go.
He held me so very tight,
as the fun music played on.

He asked me to marry him.

No Regrets

No more waiting or hesitating
taking off on a whim and a prayer
making do with whatever's there
going out on a limb
skating where the ice is thin
gotta get going as the going's good
gonna do what I can and should
on my way on the run
to make hay in the sun
not walking
now time's a wasting
while they're talking
nothing's being done
made my bed and I'll lie in it
come what may even die in it
'til that day dawns have to confess
I now know less
than I once knew
I am who I am's
why I do what I do

Premium Member Dean the Cutest Roller Skating Giraffe

Dean was roaringly cute with curly turquoise hair
A skater in pink roller skates, with a superior air
He was born in Savanna in a tiny little zoo
But he had been touring since he was two

People went crazy when he got into town
The zoo had a circus, with a tent big and brown.
They made a parade starring their featured act, Dean
He was the cutest giraffe most had ever seen

Premium Member - Grandma Skating -

        Grandma maneuvers
and performs tricks on the board
She keeps up with most kids
        Skating creates friendships
        at different age levels

        I guess you can imagine
how she felt when she discovered,
        Saturns rings
        Grandma was immediately attracted
        When life presents a challenge,
        don't worry about anything

Skating Upon Saturn's Rings

We skate by each other. I look at my brother, who is lost in the excitement; he has always been an adventurous soul.

My brother moves ahead of me, beaming with joy. I wonder how we ended up in this place and shake my head several times to jolt myself into reality.

The rings of Saturn are magnificent, a spectacular eight. As we skate on the icy rings, different colours emerge, alternating between blue, purple, green, orange, and red.

As we glide toward the inner rings, my brother disappears and reappears. I wonder what is happening until he finally vanishes completely.

I shudder with fear and almost lose my balance, but something keeps me steady. Suddenly, I disappear too. I'm back home, with my brother standing beside me. Our skate shoes are gone.

Premium Member Skating Upon Saturns Rings

I will skate upon Saturn Rings
on icy and rocky fragments :
New excitement and charms to bring
   splendid thrills and entertainment.

On icy grains I may gallop.
I am to slide on rocky mass
If needed, I will roll and hop,
yet taking caution not to rush.

    Wish, Jack Frost to accompany
and also to call all my friends,
may be few or may be many
to enjoy from the start to end.

I hope, we will be not at stake.
All will run frolic under sun
to skate slow or fast without break.
      The participants must have fun.

The thought of you makes my heart sing
You inspire a fire with yellow joy you bring
And I can dandelion dream do anything
Even esteem skating upon Saturns rings

If love is a timeless black hole
I’d be hopelessly consumed
Left my planet of silver soul
To space travel with you

Not knowing the sky
Is not as big as our love
Time can’t fly or divide
What universe has for us

Anything you ask of me
Will get a cranberry reply
Anything you want baby
For you set my star on fire

I find delight in the night
And safety displays in day
For a body’s last delight
Engage you in a new way

Galaxy sings a song of peace
And you mentally take me there
Words fall like candy confetti
Stars shine in your heavenly hair

We are one in spiritual bliss
There is a symphony of harmony
There is a unique mind kiss
As you teleport your love to me

I am ready to emerald explore
Wherever we may travel to
For love is a planet I adore
A pleasure to explore with you

Skating on Saturn's Rings

Skating on Saturn’s rings,
Happiness must be there.
Easy to see but hard to catch.
In 250 million years from now,
Her rings will vanish.
Elusive happiness appears to fade.
A dream will become a memory.
A memory of a dream,
A dream never touched.
I still skate Saturn’s rings.
For perception is multi-dimensional.
Only capturing a dream is still a reality.
Happiness does not need to be touched.
Happiness can be sight alone.
Sight has many forms.
Embrace Saturn’s rings no matter how.
One can skate Saturn rings many ways.

In
cosmic
wilderness
icy rings swirl
with frozen rock dust
in thin ribbons on flight
in solar system unique,
around the sleeping Saturn far,
as it’s leftover wandering waste,
making the breathtaking celestial rinks
where I as cosmonaut shall one day glide,
skate upon the congealed space tracks vast
in freedom of weightless milieu,
whirl charmed in galactic glow.
As the stardust swathes me
I’ll take spiral turns,
primal silence
will flood me
in false
dream.

Come! We'll fall into Saturn's ice arms
We'll skate on her rings as moons arise
On my toes, I'll spin woes into charms
see amethyst form storm's sultry skies
Smile at lightning's attempted disguise.

We'll skate together and then alone
leaving imprints, as settlers perhaps
Marking a path for others to own
among icey confines, Nature's lapse
finding wonder, unable to grasp

Skating back and forth on Saturn's rings,
you stop to stir stardust into night
Enchanted moments we hope to bring
in dreams, perhaps. or by candlelight
songs of the Muses, in frigid flight

Wayward clouds, silken-spun, drift away
They waltzed in tunes from a spilling crest
Dawn's faint hues entice night into day
I gather stars and place in your vest
Sadly, we leave, for we were but guests

Premium Member Free-Wheeling

Found my space to roller skate
Like I did when I was eight ...
Round, round and round the rink
Flashing lights of blue and pink

High above such trivial things
Skating the track of Saturn's rings,
Go, go, they can't catch me now
Once you learn, you never forget how

The music flows from far, far away
Down on Earth where records play,
The stars, they pulsate to the beat
And correspond down to my feet

Bubblegum pop and all the feels
Purple shoelaces and rubber wheels,
Rock my world, let me go back
To neon lights and skies of black

Feelin' like that long lost kid ...
Feelin' things no grownup did ...
Right foot, left foot, I got the pattern
Skating upon the rings of Saturn.

Premium Member Cool Thrills Out There

Skating upon Saturn's rings, on the outskirts of gold,
executing my double axel, in the brisk, season of cold.
The sole sound is of ice skates, spraying bits behind;
In rich, purple dusk, of the chaotic universe entwined.
A wide-eyed dreamer, in the red heartbeat of fantasy,
does slow twirls and excited spins, jumping uncannily!
Skating on concentric rings-the adventure of her life,
Stars shining all together, a hundred moons in the sky.

Premium Member SKATING UPON SATURN RING

We begin with the history of what life can bring;
my history began with skating upon Saturn’s rings.

It was such an enjoyable and difficult feat;
I skated and danced while drifting on my feet.

I then felt the intensity of those icy rings;
my legs began to swerve from the pressure it brings.

As I began to fall, thinking, “This is insanity!”
No more questions—I began to use profanity.

Skating on the rings of Saturn was such an adventure;
I began to wake from my dream filled with excitement and wonder.

Premium Member Skating Upon Saturn's Rings

Skating upon Saturn's rings
     my dreams are laced
          with silver stars
and stardust weaves a tapestry
     becoming both the dreamer
          and the dreamed.
Let me spin
     in the dance
          of galaxies,
let the essence of myself
     become a symphony of light
in the hush of cosmic night
