skating upon saturn’s rings
endless ice cold arcs
innards of past moons shattered
blades reopen wounds
in my wake scars and chaos
proof ~ that I was never here
Only the cold crunching
of the fresh snow bunching,
and the tired leather boots
as I take that first step
Can be heard right here
by no other frozen ear,
for away I rushed off
to find silence instead
And all that is harsh
exists not on this marsh,
where the only prying eyes
belong to birds and deer
The moment I did hesitate
to glide along my skate,
a winter wind whistled
tugging my scarf forward
Been years since I tried
the child in me never died,
and once you learn how
you cannot ever forget
And being scared of a fall
takes the fun from it all,
while on this solemn pond
where all worries flee
Staying sure on these feet
when blade and ice meet,
kept me on my toes as
all went spinning around
Until the colors of sunset
made the trees silhouette,
and brought back to me
a world gone miles away
Leaving not a solitary trace
of my presence at this place,
I untied those tight bindings
and took in a deep breath
A memory etched in my mind
just the figures left behind,
and if the sun erases them
I can always come back....

Skating in the Clouds
She ice skates, now in the clouds.
Her figure eights wow, all the heavenly crowds.
She is amazed as the crowd continues to grow.
New, to heaven, God pleases them all with additional,
sparkling white snow.
The new arrival, misses family and friends.
But she will see them here........when they
complete their earthly ends.
She does the axel, with ease, it does her heart, good.
The triple lutz wows all her neighbors in heaven hood!
She notices something small and dark, approaching her
with speed.
Madelyn jumps for joy, it is her long lost cocker spaniel,
Sparky, her pet who fulfilled her young girl needs.
Now, comes her husband, Air Show Jim, as young as the
day they met!
Madelyn is thrilled to be once again with her husband and
her furry pet.
This poem is no epic nor does it intend to be.
Just me, Pangie, hoping to skate one day in heaven with
my cousin Madelyn, most joyfully!

Figure skating is rhythm, dance, art, and poetry, presented as a visual masterpiece.

skater on moonlight
wearing diamonds, pearls in hair
fun in frosty air
moonbeams for sunbeams
darkly calm on frozen lake
glide softly as dreams
skater of starlight
feeling joy that comes from peace
hues stained black and white
Skating upon Saturn's rings, on the outskirts of gold,
executing my double axel, in the brisk, season of cold.
The sole sound is of ice skates, spraying bits behind;
In rich, purple dusk, of the chaotic universe entwined.
A wide-eyed dreamer, in the red heartbeat of fantasy,
does slow twirls and excited spins, jumping uncannily!
Skating on concentric rings-the adventure of her life,
Stars shining all together, a hundred moons in the sky.
No seeds, spinach or carrots around;
no greens, or reds, or oranges found.
Only the smooth sliding elegance
of twosome as one in skating dance.
"Sequined Septuagenarians"
much smoother than fresh-ironed linens.
Golden, gliding glances so well-known,
minute, mellow movements, subtly shown.
A bittersweet moment hangs midair
as dazzling Old Smoothies sway with flair.
Both smoothies are good parcel and part,
but Old Smoothies give rise to the heart.
The rockin days of roller skating
Just traveling round and round
Hoping you don't bump into someone
Causing you to both fall down
The music would be blaring
And the lights would set the mood
Girls go around smiling at the guys
Hoping some guy would smile back too
There was always some guy styling
Trying to impress everyone with his moves
He had the best pair of roller skates
Which made him the coolist of the cool
He was the one that sparked you
Made you want to try a couple new moves
So one day you could skate like him
And be the coolist of the cool
Those wild days of roller skating
When problems were all left at the door
Everyone rolling around in a big circle
Hoping their bodies never hit the floor

If you want to fly, but are bound to ground,
Come twirl and swirl, go around and around,
Enjoying the flight other dreamers found.
Sash and shay while flying way fast or slow,
Keeping bladed skates soaring as you go.
Attach wings to your feet for fun you seek.
Take your time, flap your beat boldly or meek.
Inhale wonder then exhale your dance flight.
New frozen delight is but right in sight.
Go glide, sail and slice tight with air’s might.

I skate
with date
not ready
unsteady
cling rail
would bail
afraid
my maid
would skate
He-mate
leave rail
act male
fall down
I frown
but she
helps me
cling arm
no harm
we skate
up late
let go
oh no!
spill cup
helps up
red face
no race
to rail
still male
take home
not nome
miss
kiss
high school
now fool
I take one step
onto that ice
and an immediate shock
of electricity shoots through me
strength and adrenaline rushes through my blood stream
my heart sings
my soul screams, finally free
my body rips through the cage that it has been kept in for so long
sick of being confined to the ordinary mundane movements
of an ordinary life
finally
it is free
I am free
and i dance
i dance the dance i have danced my whole life
a dance unlike any other
a dance on ice
my soul intertwines with the soul of the ice
it is my partner and we are inseparable
we dance together, like two lovers
long removed from each other
finally reunited
grasping each other in a loving embrace
I have missed the cold awakening hug of the wind
encircling me as a spin
the sparkling ice beneath my skates
twinkling approval up at me as i dance with it
I jump
and i can fly
I am free
nothing in the world can hold me back
no one can cage me
you can't cage my spirit or my soul
I belong on the ice
its a part of me
and always will be
A roller-skating mouse
Rudely came rolling in my house,
He stuck his tongue out
As he went racing by,
He was taking all my cheese
As easy as you please,
It just made me want to cry.
So I went to a pet store
And paid just a little more
To buy a roller-skating cat,
When I took him to my house
He caught that rolling mouse,
Now I can eat my cheesy snack.
ICE SKATING
It seemed like yesterday, the pond rippled in delight, until the
Cold wintry air, set out to spread its plight,
Enchanting Mother Nature, cast a spell with frost abound,
Silently the waters stilled, forming solid ground,
Knitted scarves and mittens, caps pulled over ears,
Axels, loops and flying camels, performed without fears,
Traversing around each other, squealing shouts of glee,
Invoking friendship, offering a bond of camaraderie,
Night falls, the wind howls, whisking them away,
Good night, it has been, a wonderful winter's day!

Riding in glides,
super-sailing in leaps-
going on and on about the otherside,
trailing to collide,
and oppressing in the peaks of my plight,
in the loneliest day which is just as night.
I now look to the sky!
Interesting in my sights,
interesting to deny of life,
and the rotating bike,
with some ivory fight,
I now look to the sky!
As your stand-up comedian,
as your rhyme of the eye!
A rye of the ripening fry-
an intrinsic like a cry!
I now look to the sky!
Melancholic,
systematic,
the intimation of procreating during a sustainment-
intonation,
allocation,
the moody croons,
and the wisdom drooping in swoons.
The ink-ur-
slowly to rise but lingers,
Trojan Horse!
'Enemy's Tinkerer!'
And yes also with a sorry clown in a finger,
does it right but still does it meager,
because he is a teacher-
and you reach her.
Every time the lurid outcasts are seen in the wooden brinks,
it's connection is formed through a grave mistake!
The next day is what you take away,
no matter how hard or faked we were in our try-
I sped into the curb but it took me dry.
I worked and worked but nobody saw my eyes,
I was always in a youthful wonder of how we die,
I couldn't peace out or even par-take,
I wanted the real thing just like my base.
