Good for soul

Loving brings us glow,
Praying for peace, good for soul,
Dreamers unite so!

Never Let Death Hold your Hand

Never let Death hold your hand,
My mother used to say.
He'll promise you time's sands
While slipping lethargy into your veins.

His nails will seem of luminous silver,
His teeth of polished jewels.
But when observed without night's cover,
They'll reveal themselves blanch as ghouls.

So should he ever fill your eye,
Or reside beneath your ear,
Best you heed him no free mind
While praying to nether he disappear.

Premium Member My Love From Me To You

You see my forgiveness is for,
others to be given.
Then I will receive much much more,
God will never give in.
I will forgive - I do,
praying in the old pew.
My love from me to you.

Waking daylight

Wake!
Timeless dawn,
Lights praying divine,
Messaging eternally,
Devoted to peaceful day,
Reflecting our grace,
Forever
Loved.

I think about praying sometimes

When the lights are dim
And the pen runs smooth
I think about sending a thought
High into the atmosphere
Past the cirri and satellites
Toward the edge of everything
I don't expect a response
I just hope I said the right name

Premium Member Praying for that fine balance

Every farmer partners with weather.
A dependency that gauges his very survival.
Rain usually a welcome gift.

Premium Member Praying on the inside

Saturday night with the boys.
Winding down before our game of poker.
Poker gods, be on my side!

Premium Member Praying

Some look up to pray

Some simply look in

Some prefer a quiet place,
a formal setting

Others, anytime anywhere
will begin --

Don't know that there's a right
nor wrong, or if God has preference
for listening...

Some pray to God for fearing

Not the God I know....

Premium Member THE SOULS OF THOSE WHO PRAY

In the souls of those who pray
An illuminating light will shine
Guiding the blessed wanderer on his way
Aided by God’s grace divine
………………………………
The soul in radiance shines
Beholding a blessed beauty of a holy saint
Now exiting from material times
To enter a paradise only poetry can paint
…………………………….
Where righteousness and goodness reign
A Paradise where God lives in eternal bliss
Here never is there any sorrow or pain
All rest in God’s presence giving thanks and a kiss
……………………………………………
In the souls of those who pray
An inner light like mental eyes
Gazes out on the world
And its secret life is realized
...............................................
Of the souls of those who pray
This is what they say.

Message To Mantis

To all the male members
of the praying mantis species
a word to the wise you guys
now pay attention to my theses
whether for fun you recreate
or to mate and procreate
it's something I really would not advocate
hold on tight to your pants
love at first sight is not romance
I don't care if you look
but never dare go so far
as to unhook her bra
and whatever you do don't lose your head
as before postcoital dysphoria sets in
the female will kill you dead
she'll make a meal of you
tear you limb from limb
and if you don't believe me
when last did you see our randy brother Jim?

Calling

Calling
To the I Am
Alone and on my knees
In a valley filled with death's air
His gift: Freedom in an endless expanse
My prison's narrow walls collapsed
I walked in green meadows
Seeing the sun
Calling

Inspired by a prayer from the beautiful "Man's Search for Meaning" by Viktor Frankl.

Premium Member GRANDMA’S PRAYING HANDS

Hands of wisdom
Gone on to God’s Kingdom
Guidance in understanding
Knowing and sustaining
Heaven on high
The watch from Thy
Encouragement that was broad
My heart being assured
Grandma’s years of living experience
Her impact and influence
Strength endurance
Grandma wise
Seeing I to I
Times of Discipline
Wrong to right
Youthful years sometimes resent
As an Adult, I understand
Her song her own, “Afterwhile”
I am enriched to stand and withstand
Her praying hands feature
My Grandmother was some teacher
Grandson don’t worry
I her whispers in live and enjoy
I learned well
Understanding myself and purpose
My footsteps have journeyed miles
My reflections while
The think back
Keeping track
Living my best in Grandma’s wisdom
Preparation test fulfilled
More greatness to come
The live out
Grandma’s desire

Premium Member Praying Over Our Food in Public

Praying Over Food In Public
Carry on the tradition.
Praying over your food in public.
Don’t be ashamed of his name.
Don’t worry about what strangers say.
Carry the cross.
You don’t answer to the flesh at the end.
Show by example.
Spiritual nourishment is parallel.
Pass down your value.
Be humble at the table.
Thank him for each day.
Be grateful for many blessings.
