THE SOULS OF THOSE WHO PRAY
In the souls of those who pray
An illuminating light will shine
Guiding the blessed wanderer on his way
Aided by God’s grace divine

The soul in radiance shines
Beholding a blessed beauty of a holy saint
Now exiting from material times
To enter a paradise only poetry can paint

Where righteousness and goodness reign
A Paradise where God lives in eternal bliss
Here never is there any sorrow or pain
All rest in God’s presence giving thanks and a kiss

An inner light like mental eyes
Gazes out on the world
And its secret life is realized
