When love's chalice brims with passion's pain
from crooked hands now clenched within your mind
its wormwood draught is less the bile that stains
you spilled to cleanse the earthen floor of time
the rapture of this life now cleans my soul
as it bleeds deep in darker realms of shade
you drove the knife that cut the rose once whole
release my suffering heart as death persuades
this flower keeps no breath within its bloom
now drifting dark beneath the setting sun
flee from this world whose shadows I consume
as my heart dies, its death already done
a crumbled love lies dead inside my heart
buried beneath the lies as you depart
I often wonder moon
if you sing tunes ~
have you ever sung one for me?
Knowing the lyrics in your grab,
I surely believe that you have.
Your visage glimmers promise
whispers of life's fulfillments.
From your big screen, mystical notes
float sparkled excites down to me.
Mostly, like moonshine,
your moonglow
inebriates my full heart and lulls me
to an imaginative design.
Your brilliance persuades smiles to widen
or turn frightened that your yeses might
be hope caresses falsely styled.
Often, your quasar orb tilts
towards
feels so soft they surpass optimistic
and my logic runs off.
Your gleam was long ago deemed
a radiant obtuse muse, lighting
the globe’s hold of dreams.
Your otherness role is man’s gift.
You know all why’s comprising our lives;
we just need to know how to lift our eyes
towards God’s sky.
As the sun lifts the shroud of darkness,
Light surrounds and lovely sights come into view;
A palette of colors in the sky,
A plethora of blooming beauty on the land.
Each dawn persuades us to be a wick of flame
And teach the world the grammar of light
Today’s blessing is a thought
Euripides first designed…
and is an important lesson
for future generations to keep in mind…
To all those people who are wanting
To make their country great:
When one with honeyed words
But evil mind
Persuades the mob…
Great woes
Befall the state.
The Inward Shore (Varanasi)
My dream’d domain lies where the Ganges slides,
At Varanasi’s steps where mortal pride subsides.
No gilded arch persuades me, nor the world’s loud trade,
But ash and prayer where life and death are weighed.
I seek that shore where strangers stand as kin,
And feel another’s ending stir the self within.
Where tongues grow still ere judgment claims its say,
And borrowed masks are gently worn away.
What boots it roam the globe for pleasure’s gain,
If hearts return unchanged, intact in chain?
I choose this place, for there I learn to bend,
And read my fate in lives I might yet mend.
My dream destination asks no flight from land—
It teaches me to live, and understand.
Tingly skies full of surprise, oh how I love when with surmise,
the little rascal aims his dart as if it were poetic art!
He will deliberately ambush you and your entire tush
with a gush loaded arrow he does romantically push
into hearts genuine states of goofy, gooeyed, loving mush.
No one on this earth can evade him, only love persuades him.
With silent wings, he flies towards the fun gains when his will is done.
No one has a clue concerning who will be romancing who
and there's no sense in guessing - romance is at Cupid's questing.
When cupid's arrow aims for you, there isn't much that you can do!
I’ve come to—k(now), the sobering conclusion
that I must be a lunatic; else what
sufficiently explains the smirking smut
clouding my judgment?—what viscous illusion—
outright{(diagnosable[,perhaps)delusion]},—
persuades me to heed your haughty strut?
Each inch of every corner of my gut
is begging—not—accept—refuse—intrusion.
ah!, but I budge, I give in to temptation!
why, why, why must I make the same mistake
instead of just quite well so simply break-
-ing the cycle of you?—o’ that salvation,
in what dark nook lurks it?, which saviour holds
the key that unschackles me from your folds?
I love you:
Words easy to say
Sweet to hear
Hard to depend
Hard to rely
Mostly persuades you
On too much happiness
Though sometimes no truth in it.
One of life’s sunshine days
A pleasant walk down to the river
Scene of all basking in high summer sun
Sheep graze roaming enamoured of the warm grass
The river flowing passing on its ancient meandering way
A self carved path by an enticement no choice drawn to the sea
And over the river and water meadows comfy white cottages seen
The bright garden colours given now a soft focus by haze and distance
Onto the river bridge the weight an impetus of water a few feet down below
Grey stone ancient buttress shaped by old artifice granting water a gentle pass
Auric and glistening the strong suns noonday blazing light beams down
Lit the riverbed of soft golden sands transmuted a bronze by depth
Flanking green reeds softly sway the gentle current persuades
Shadows shapes seen moving contrary and counter way
Lovely minnow’s dark tops sides a silver hidden
Viewed unseen but in this summer light
Serendipity favour a glance a view
Perhaps a little peep
Of heaven
God search needs us to shift to heart
The path is silence, a learnt art
Whispers of soul, our heart translates
Holy Spirit communicates
Look not at form, feel vibration
Entwine with entire creation
Silence takes us to heaven’s gates
Holy Spirit communicates
Repay now debts of love we owe
Board the boat, God Himself does row
Know love persuades, ego dictates
Holy Spirit communicates
Language of God is love and light
His touch bestows spherical sight
Bliss borne rapture never abates
Holy Spirit communicates
Love in love with love celebrates
Holy Spirit communicates
hearts tremble, shudder and break
beneath the dark gaze of dreaded mistakes
grief sends a message that life won’t forsake,
while bitter becomes sweet as gentle snowflakes
souls sigh, whisper and groan
seeking the solace of hope and love
while sometimes struggling all alone
blessings flow quietly, from God above
hearts remember, consider and learn
through the shadows, a faded glow
prompting the spirit to sincerely discern
while the memories teach us to grow
souls stir, dazzled by God’s amazing
while the faintest doubt can disillusion
there is a melody that keeps me praising
the story reveals a sweet conclusion
hearts heal when His peace persuades
breathing light, a rustle of still grace
through the spirit who never evades
the song of heaven echoed by God’s embrace
With your words so sweet and promises ring true
I fell hard in love with you
But each night I am lonely, rumors your playing around
Searching the night thank God you I never found.
A sick mother, emergency trip out of town
All those rumors of you go round and round
Keeps me walking the floor each night over you
my heavy heart is broken in two.
I want to keep believing your pretty lying eyes
You look at me and with your kiss I realize
All those rumors even if true
I am never going to stop loving you.
Your touch persuades me, you hold me tight
Alone together all through the night
Morning breaks and your already gone
With you my life is another sad sad song.
I want to keep believing your pretty lying eyes
You look at me and with your kiss I realize
All those rumors even if true
I am never going to stop loving you
I am never going to stop loving you...
Raindrops and showers,
April opens its windows
looking at the flowers.
Cloudy and sunny days,
cold and warm feelings
crossing different ways.
April has magic sleeves
that you can hide or show,
as well as your slept dreams.
April is like an old singer,
recording songs every year,
staying and trying to linger.
April turns dark days brighter,
It persuades the birds to sing
their better songs much higher.

Know the value of time…
Whiling it away is a grave crime!
When you are in your prime,
Every peak you try to climb!
Using seconds as granules of lime
Make your life so sublime!
Run not madly after the dime;
Spoil not life’s rhythm and rhyme!
Time has a past, present and future;
Amend your past cuts with a fine suture!
Time is the best judge;
On you it has no grudge!
It always persuades you to budge;
Sure, it cleans every sludge!
If He wasn’t the answer,
Answering every need, every doubt,
Even the fear – He persuades,
To leave, whispers of ash in its path,
Reasonable worries, darkness
Dims the hopes, the dreams, the prayers…
But, He answers…
Yes, sometimes.
And, from there, we reason,
His blessings are more vibrant,
Tantalizing in hues of joy,
Laughing at the blazing fires,
Passions in hearts who believe…
He answers,
When we least expect His presence.
He is there, reassuring even the air,
We breath, in prayers – still and silent,
Soothing away the doubts, the dread,
Fears – rising rapid like the waves,
Forcing our feelings to panic – then,
He reminds us that He is there, always,
Forever, like the grace He brings,
When He saves us, forgiving the shadows,
That remember when…
We refused to listen to the voice,
His still, small voice…
Quieting the winds and remembering
Without Him, we couldn’t even live.
Without Him, we would be emptiness,
Nothing at all – only His will makes us real.
