WHAT THE MOON KNOWS

I often wonder moon if you sing tunes ~ have you ever sung one for me? Knowing the lyrics in your grab, I surely believe that you have. Your visage glimmers promise whispers of life's fulfillments. From your big screen, mystical notes float sparkled excites down to me. Mostly, like moonshine, your moonglow inebriates my full heart and lulls me to an imaginative design. Your brilliance persuades smiles to widen or turn frightened that your yeses might be hope caresses falsely styled. Often, your quasar orb tilts towards feels so soft they surpass optimistic and my logic runs off. Your gleam was long ago deemed a radiant obtuse muse, lighting the globe’s hold of dreams. Your otherness role is man’s gift. You know all why’s comprising our lives; we just need to know how to lift our eyes towards God’s sky.

Awwwwn gosh, this is one of the most soulful and ethereal takes I've read on this prompt, dear CayCay, so deeply enriched with emotions and depth! 🫂🥹 Moon can really be a manipulator but the honesty is visible the way it tunes logic into magic and then gently soothes our hearts.. the warmth is undeniable! I felt such serenity while reading your lines and your words just felt like a balm for the soul, "You know all why’s comprising our lives; we just need to know how to lift our eyes towards God’s sky." Yesss the moon does know everything! One just has to feel and listen.. pleasure reading this! Best of luck for the contest! Keep shininnnnn and writinnnn, sending you soothing starsz and poetic light! 🍁 🍁 🧚 🧚 ⭐ 🌙 💫

Lot's of cool lines about our radiant muse - "frightened that your yeses might be hope caresses falsely styled".

The moon is still a wonder for man's simplicity of understanding even though they say they have been there and landed. It is God's creation which will always fascinate mankind. Thank you for writing this one for us. Way to go. 👏✍️. Sara K.

Hi CayCay :) The moon hardly ever fails to inspire, and your delightful poem is proof of that! I especially love the ending. What I like about the moon is that its absence in the sky can be equally effective. ~ Warm regards // paul

Your poem got better and better and I absolutely loved how it concluded . You and I were thinking somewhat alike. We chose the same theme and wrote on some similar things the moon's effects. I think Ink will really like this one. I bet you were drawn to the moon theme because for both of us, it just spoke louder than the other titles!

"we just need to know how to lift our eyes towards God’s sky." -- So true. Beautiful writing, CayCay. The moon can deceive and elucidate, a light enchanter, when things go wrong having to remind myself that sun has my back. Do most all my writing at night. Quiet and sensitive. Best atmosphere for the heart and spirit to interact creatively.

What a beautiful poem and ode to the moon... I like the wise ending about just having to lift our eyes towards God's sky....
