Cupid's Arrow

Tingly skies full of surprise, oh how I love when with surmise, the little rascal aims his dart as if it were poetic art! He will deliberately ambush you and your entire tush with a gush loaded arrow he does romantically push into hearts genuine states of goofy, gooeyed, loving mush. No one on this earth can evade him, only love persuades him. With silent wings, he flies towards the fun gains when his will is done. No one has a clue concerning who will be romancing who and there's no sense in guessing - romance is at Cupid's questing. When cupid's arrow aims for you, there isn't much that you can do!

I apologise if I do not comment often on your poems, or those of others; my Kryptonite is the fear of accidental plagiarism, so I wait until competitions are complete, then comment on the other entries.

And I thought it was Mel Brooks who wrote 'Stick out your tush.' Appears it was Cupid all along. Keep smiling, CayCay.

Cute one CayCay - yep, cupid makes the decisions - crazy though sometimes they are. I've been doing pretty good at evading his darts lately.

haha, oh yeah, lots of women- what a problem - lol. Actually, I might have created the wrong impression, but what the heck, let's run with it! I usually go by Dave but answer to either. Hmm, OK, I'll have to try to put my answer in a poem one of these days - :-))

Are you saying many women have been chasing you lately? I can see that, what a problem to have, David! (do you prefer that to Dave?) Don't you want to have fun from a bit of his arrow's implications? Don't answer. Poetry hugs ... CayCay

I do not wish to meet Cupid and his arrows. I am already secretly in love. So I don't need anyone else. My love is secret. Poetry hugs from Malta.

Indeed, how secretive you are, Victor, with this revelation. Mums the word, promise. At least, I'll stay mum but, meanwhile, Cupid will remain aloof and simply carry on! THANKS FOR BEING VICTOR, my friend across the sea. Poetry hugs ... CayCay

I am SURE, Bill, that many moons ago you were impaled by an arrow Cupid shot and most effectively impaled into your heart! Your comment is cute. Poetry hugs ... CayCay

I wasn't planning to write for the Cupid contest, but my muse planned otherwise, inconveniently placing lines in my head the other night when I put my head on the pillow. No sense in trying to figure out why, lines come and GO on their own accord when one is a poet. YOU KNOW THIS, I'm sure. Thanks for commenting, Deb. Poetry hugs ... CayCay
