Revealing peace, presented by my mood,
Persuades the world of feeling all its streams –
A thread of legacy appears by my side.
I love you:
Words easy to say
Sweet to hear
Hard to depend
Hard to rely
Mostly persuades you
On too much happiness
Though sometimes no truth in it.
I hear a voice
calling me off in the distance
my thoughts become
Distorted the more that I listen
she persuades me to leave
all hope of stability
to join her on the flipside
where nothing ever goes right
As the sun lifts the shroud of darkness,
Light surrounds and lovely sights come into view;
A palette of colors in the sky,
A plethora of blooming beauty on the land.
Each dawn persuades us to be a wick of flame
And teach the world the grammar of light
Floral fragrance
Fizzes
Nasal nostalgia
Nuzzles
Pristine passion
Persuades
Testing
Tempting
Lips-lust
Lingers
Hypnotized heart
Heaves
Cosmos
Countermands
First time?
Full-tilt fast-time?
Kissing
Kindling
Cardiovessels
Convulse
Hedonism
Haunts
Hearts
Harmonize
One old barber who confesses he's weird
Persuades his clients to cut off their beards --
Quoth he, "You look scary!"
Razors them un-hairy --
Screams they're even scarier fully sheared

Dear Jack,
Even your liquor,
Agrees with me,
That you're stinkin,
From drinkin,
Oh,
I know you say,
That you love me true,
A Liquid courage,
Always persuades you,
But your stinkin from drinkin,
And I think,
Your liquor's a drunken fool.

Today’s blessing is a thought
Euripides first designed…
and is an important lesson
for future generations to keep in mind…
To all those people who are wanting
To make their country great:
When one with honeyed words
But evil mind
Persuades the mob…
Great woes
Befall the state.
Receding Shoreline
Throbbing heartbeats rise,
Patience draws a line in the sand,
Tears swallow my pride,
Turbulence persuades the tides,
Anguish engulfs the shoreline !

M-over and shaker person
E-agerly persuades the gray;
L-eading the way to mirth,
Y-es, toward the better day.
G-reat shaker and mover person
A-ims to influence the blue;
L-ooking for a pleasant place,
L-iving in a lovely view.
A-s the third of September
M-eets the rising beacon;
O-pening the morning for
S-haker and mover person.
Foolish braves into the unknown
Intrepid steps only fade into the wild blue yonder
While wise old hounds still sit and ponder
How to raise brave young pups
Wise enough not to wander
Tis the lust for adventure
The temptation of the unknown
Invades and instills itself into the bones
Drives a pup mad and persuades them to run on their own
Jealousy finally persuades her victims,
Making them resort to the evilest deeds
No good words or plausible maxims
Will uproot jealousy’s dangerous weeds.
Once planted in the cold weakened heart
They mature as suspicions and doubt,
Raising a strong impenetrable rampart
Until deeds of hatred flesh them out.

Softly floating on air,
Loves tender kiss.
Sweet yet delicately smooth.
Always bringing me closer
and easily persuades me.
Invisible yet so tangible...
undeniable it will be.
Luscious from those lips,
Loves tender kiss.
Lightly bringing me heaven.
This temptation of yours
teasing me every time.
Still leaves me with
sweet memories so sublime.
laughter rushes summer cleanses
subverts subsistence
children ramble seaside scramble
scribble sand
hamlet beckons hangout persuades
hermits wade
worship freedom
wooing
emissaries
dripping

Poem composed July 8, 2021
Raindrops and showers,
April opens its windows
looking at the flowers.
Cloudy and sunny days,
cold and warm feelings
crossing different ways.
April has magic sleeves
that you can hide or show,
as well as your slept dreams.
April is like an old singer,
recording songs every year,
staying and trying to linger.
April turns dark days brighter,
It persuades the birds to sing
their better songs much higher.
She knows who she wants, so she goes after her man.
Able to convince everyone, she persuades as she can.
He is on an island, so she steals a Wyandotte’s canoe.
He tries to escape, but she ties him up with a lace from her shoe.
I am not interested, he says, I am taken, he lies.
She knows it is not the truth, she has talked to his guys.
She and his mother are in this together.
She marries him a month later, in downpouring weather.
The mirror’s the scariest place
For gazing at my aging face.
I realize that I’m
In the race against time
Fairly certain to lose in disgrace.
Clothes and make-up can help to erase
Certain wrinkles so I can embrace
How I look for a while
And by adding a smile
I can put forth a credible case.
Yet what tells me that I am off base
And persuades me to give up the chase
Is the camera my spouse
Likes to click, which can douse
All my confidence, leaving no trace.
When nature decides to precipitate
As surely as the earth revolves around
the earth, it does not deign to hesitate,
Consider it done.
A truth I’ve sought and diligently found
Weather patterns arrive both soon and late
Nature’s ways are both consistent and sound.
If climate changes, still she will not wait
to control what moisture covers the ground
Freezing it persuades us to concentrate,
Consider it done.

As the dreamers overtake me
As the sunshine still forsakes me
As the rain above awakes me
To another windy night
As the dark hollows enslave me
As the tired thoughts invade me
As the swinging watch persuades me
I am losing every fight
As the ticking clock absolves me
As the falling sky dissolves me
As the twisting moon revolves me
My body of sores and knots
As the raining swords impale me
As my eyes begin to fail me
As the shining worlds avail me
The light begins to rot
He sometimes persuades me
There is a better way
To handle things
But in a dedicated way, not mean.
Always takes my side
Even against his mother
Used to be a mama’s boy
Now is my man.
Sometimes gently gives me hints
Maybe I could do better
Always right too
Saving me from my impulsiveness
Always has my back.
Against the world
Would stand in front of a tsunami for me
Is my hero
Is my dedicated man.
My husband.
The father of my babies
I would trade him for no one.
