Just so you're aware I'll tell you
It's you my heart will always choose
I still believe what we had was magical
And something too precious to lose
I cannot believe that we're done forever
Don't you desire what we were too
Ask yourself and your heart will answer
What we had is too angelic to be through
How is it you wonder I still love you
Even after all the hell we went through
There were bad times but remember the good
My heart longs for those moments with you
I miss you in ways I can't explain
A piece of me is missing without you here
My love is greater than I ever knew
What I couldn't see it before is now clear
I wish I had the chance to show you
And I truly hope someday that I will
If you decide you need our love again
I will be right here waiting loving you still
Golf loving Paddy from sunny Glambole
was truly a gentle fun-loving soul
but he was a big bloke,
he took a well-aimed stroke
Sara the caddy yelled "wrong hole, wrong hole”
As a child,
Like a grown up, you would put on my make-up,
In my heels you'd stumble trying to stand up.
As a child,
Knowingly, you played at 'mothers' with your friends
Each one using grown up language in pretends.
As a child,
Many times you would not do as you were told,
Capricious, stubborn as any eight-year-old.
As a child,
Already knowing that you wanted to be
A loving mother, exactly, just like me.
As a child,
Peas in a pod, we went through it together
Daintily dancing through all kinds of weather.
Time has passed, and even though you're grown up now
Admit, you can't hide sometimes stumbling somehow
like a child.
You are
the memory
I keep reaching for,
but it slips
through my fingers
like water.
After you left,
I tried to stitch
my heart back together,
but the seams
kept unraveling.
Sometimes,
I wonder:
were you really there,
or just a question
I forgot to answer?
But you are the past,
and I am learning
to look forward
to a future
without you.
I go back to Pinterest because why wouldn't I.
It's addictive and gives me something to do I won't even lie.
I scroll and click and scroll and click once more.
It's hard to put down because it keeps my mind in control.
There's rings, clothes, books, and most importantly help for me.
I can relate a little too much to some of the posts and that's key
For me to come back I need to want, to CRAVE the feed
Everyday I open it and everyday I feel my hate for myself grow and my love for Pinterest turn into need.
It makes me happy. I know it's confusing but that's where my heart settled
I lay in my bed looking at these people who I wish I was and I meddle
I meddle with my mind but also my body. But I can't be them and I never will be and I come to term
I've thought that I hate this app but I love it because it can be good, i've learned
It's fun, nice, addictive, and amazing just don't scroll too deep or you'll get beat
I've had too much experience diving too deep and that's a fact
But I just CAN'T stop going back!
Crows
Beckon me
Every single morning.

"The Hay(na)ku is a 21st century poetic form designed by Eileen R. Tabios, a Filipino-American poet, fiction writer, artist. The form, which Tabios first called Filipino Haiku, is described by Eileen in an interesting history of hay(na)ku. Inspired by Tabios’ Counting Journal, lately I’ve been writing a hay(na)ku each day in my planner after the day, a quick, tiny and fun way to recap a memorable event or emotion." - - Denise Krebs
Traditionally, Hay(na)ku have:
3 lines
A total of 6 words – 1 in the first, 2 in the second, and 3 in the third
No syllable, rhythm, or meter constraints.
You can also write reverse hay(na)kus.
soft flame
romantic dreamy mood
hearts deeply entwined holding soft hands
eternal love for each other solemnly declared
togetherness they forever embrace
is closer
than folded bread
more necessary
than breathing
Prowling the estate
Seeking a mate
Thinking he was great
Royal Birkdale could not wait
For his date
When the lioness arrived
Honestly Royal Birkdale tried
Thinking the lioness was going to be his bride
Opening the door
Letting out a roar
Exclaiming, "Amor Amor"
She pranced
A dance
Making Royal Birkdale turn red
Many said
Time passed
Lioness tail swung fast
Letting a lot go
Wanting to know
Where things are
In their relationship, so far
Being a future King
He purchased an honorable ring
Shiny and bright
Just right
"You are my Queen
A dream"
Lioness pondered and peered
"I love you dear"
Allowing cubbies to magically appear
Giving Royal Birkdale much pride
That could never be denied
As the sun set
Royal Birkdale will never forget
What he has in life
A loving family and committed wife
With these eyes, I can see
That you are stunningly beautiful.
With these ears, I can hear
The kindness in your voice.
With these nostrils, I can smell
The aroma of your presence.
From head to toe, I can feel
The warmth of your loving touch.
With my myriads of taste buds, I can
Taste the sweetness of your spirit.
From the moment we share
I know you will always be there
Showing the act that you care
Out of the blue you become my pair.
Words that only I believe
Gave me energy to achieve
Not just our plan and my goal
Thus to revive me in my dying soul.
Tonight we sleep
You always held in keep.
Never let me go.
And together,forever, I do!
About the cat—shouldn’t it be Queen
for grandeur nestles inside her preen
She walks with nose pointed to the skies
Her purr says, “pet me, I am a prize
She silently walks, so none may hear
When she meows, her meaning is clear
She’s quite beautiful, ever a show
in golden fur and a silver bow
What would I do without her Meow--
“you may pet later–I’m busy now”
A wonder pet I’m quite glad I know
who chases the dark with eyes that glow
She's warm and loving, when the mood fits
or, she stares at me when she just sits
A creature who knows she is “The Most”
to Cat I offer this well-earned toast.
Love can sway,
Our focus,
Love surrounds,
Like Our Lord,
Not fair weather folk,
His love is staunch,
Sees us all through,
The journey to faith,
We awaken, renewed
Hope to love,
Full of surprise!
Your touch remains a ghost
upon my skin,
The sweetest war that we
could never win,
I bless the love before the
tears begin.
The morning brings the
memory of your grace,
A gentle light that time
cannot erase,
And all my world is captured
in your face.
