At nighttime's end when I am awake
please give me a no-pains day today,
a no pills and no ills day I pray.
For you and for all mankind I pray.
When World finally decides to awake
let there be no violence today,
no drones and no early deaths today;
no mourning, no suffering I pray.
Let ugly war sleep and peace awake.
Awake today and always, I pray.
For my sweet Claire, Caedon, Colton, and Scarlett
This for you is a promise ring –
let me tell you what it means.
A reminder that you are always loved –
no matter how hard life may seem.
That I love you, and so do others –
that your love that your best and your worst.
And you love to love just as much as I do –
but please promise to love yourselves first!
These rings that I made mean forever –
(forever) have your own space in my heart.
And forever I'll always be with you –
Yes, that's even when we're far apart.
Now lastly I give you this symbol [Vegvisir] –
(which is) a promise all in its own.
No matter how lost you may find yourself –
That you will always find your way home!
I love you SO much! Never ever forget! Love, Mommy

‘The world is upside down’
‘It’s topsy-turvy’
‘Things will never be the same again’
Lines heard everywhere we turn
Is it really so?
Are their proponents in the know?
Or do they loutish parrot
what on screens we stare at?
Block out the vitriolic noise
Knead the contours of your heart
Soothe and smooth your mind, from the mundane depart
Alive once again ~ for life is art

O lassie, I were loving you far longer than I knew,
And I would have you know of it, before the eve were through.
Through fair and feisty weather,
We shall face it all together,
And our hearts shall be our tether,
If you will but say "I do".
attenuate Satan's evil spirit with amity and love and let us give peace a chance
Marks can get you a degree or fame, But life doesn't play the same game. You memorize laws, quote the rules Still stumble when life bends the tools You can top every subject and win every race, Yet still lose direction in life’s lonely maze. You chase good grades because that’s what they praise, Yet no one teaches how to survive the hard days. You polished essays, following every rule But life has no syllabus and that’s it’s cruelest rule When the bills knock hard or the gas stove sparks, No one ask’s u about your calculus flair They'll ask you to mend what life tears apart, Not just recite what you've learnt by heart. They'll need you to fix a flat tire's plight, or cook a roti when the stove's not right. So, focus on skills that truly matter, Not just chapters that make your grades flatter. The answers that matter don't come from a page, They find you somewhere between fear and age Perhaps, Books may give you a career or name, But only wisdom teaches you how to play life's game. - MOKSHA JAIN
I hereby attempt to satisfy poplar demand
as best I possibly can…
Seeking more creative ways to stop porch thieves?
Here are some more in which to believe
Hang those dirty diapers on a clothesline
right above the package ~ this works just fine
For extra effect, make sure the diapers have been sitting in a pile
for quite a long while…
Here’s one that has those wannabee thieves running away
Post a ‘Beware of Skunk’ sign not far away
And this concludes my tips this time
for which I ask nothing, not one thin dime
In the evening as the sun sets
Darkness arises constantly,
Can’t see the way towards life
To reach it ; will you be my luna?
A single, satin-like, white rose
patiently peeking all alone
above the weathered, wooden fence,
as in its somber silence thinks-
“I've grown, going past the tiptop
of this wood fence and now need find
what final fate decides, defines
pure purpose for my so short stay.”
“Perhaps a lovelorn lad stops by,
a perfect present I may make
to lift his sweetheart, sure to smile,
by binding me, held by her hair.
There, my white petals then can pair
with her smooth cheeks of satin pink-
soon spark the light of love again.
Then my life's feat, fulfilled shall be.
From the moment we share
I know you will always be there
Showing the act that you care
Out of the blue you become my pair.
Words that only I believe
Gave me energy to achieve
Not just our plan and my goal
Thus to revive me in my dying soul.
Tonight we sleep
You always held in keep.
Never let me go.
And together,forever, I do!
Hoarfrost on barbed wire
holds until the first blackbird
tests the silver thread—
The dawn was never asked, if
it intended to stay cold.
A gold wedding band
leaves an imprint underneath
beside weathered skin—
The pale pledge there lingers long
after finger tires of it.
Knots tied in dry strings
to remember promises
slowly surrender
when they're immersed in water
to the form they never lost.
The builder chooses
the straightest tree trunk for beams—
High in the branches
magpies nest in the curved limbs
that bow when wild winds arrive.
Seaweed on the rocks
remembers yesterday's tide
higher than today's—
No wave returns for its mark
only salt lingers there still.
A watermark sleeps
inside each folded message
with a hidden date—
that rises with candle warmth
to tell the truth, time knew well.
Snake held by its tail,
its mouth swinging so freely
circling round the arm—
Every vow has the same aim
to taste the hand that shaped it.
The face in the glass
nods before it answers back
they both know their names—
The one who made promises
has long become someone else.
I want to bring you home in your wedding dress,
Like a beautiful flower to sunlight,
I want you in your best,
My queen.
I have a ring size,
It's just your perfect fit,
Now all I am asking is:
Will you marry me?
I want to wake with scents of you,
With troubles and doubts really being few,
I want to make you meals,
Soups, quick chops and sometimes, stew.
I have a ring size,
It's just your perfect fit,
Now all I am asking is:
Will you marry me?
Yes we would bask in this wine called love,
Mate for life like little turtle doves,
A madness for affection,
One we'll need no cure.
I have a ring size,
It's just your perfect fit,
Now all I am asking is:
Will you marry me?
I speak a language,
One only your body understood,
A tongue you spoke,
One only I could interpret.
I have a ring size,
It's just your perfect fit,
Now all I am asking is:
Will you marry me?
To the moon and back
If you ever doubt the words that fall from my lips,
The ones that sting, the ones that bruise, the ones that slip.
Know I’ll write your worth across the stars,
Carve your name on Neptune, let Jupiter linger in your scars.
I’ll tell you I love you, even when it’s wrong,
I’ll make it real, make it first,
some call me Neil Armstrong, he may be the first to touch the moon,
but I will be first to tell you I love you, morning, night, and noon.
I’ll paint your beauty on Mercury, the closest to the sun,
Let its light blaze bright as I whisper, “You’re still the one.”
I’ll make the stars burn brighter than they’ve ever shone,
Mark your name across the galaxy, so you’ll never be alone.
The one in my dreams, the galaxy’s farthest reach,
The brightest, wildest star, the lesson love will teach.
I’ll paint you on Earth, in space, in the heart I guard where your fingers continue to trace.
So if you doubt the words I tremble to say,
Just know I’ve painted you across the Milky Way.
O, boorish me… O, dullard me
She did not marry me for my personality
My bon vivants surely did not pay the rent
I was much less Superman than I was Clark Kent
A stylish dancer I was not
My feet got tied-up in a sailor’s knot
As for culture, I had none … gol-darn
My favorite painting was “The Cow by the Barn”
Despite it all, she proposed to me
~ The night I won the lottery
