Fog creeps in slowly, bit by bit
a tiny blur, at first it seems,
to lightly cloud, yet most stands out
enough to move and get around.
But, woe those days as it grows thick
when barely silhouettes will form!
As eyes and mind become confused-
there's frantic hope that it will pass.
Thank you God
for the world so sweet
Thank you God
for the food we eat
Thank you god
for the birds that sing
Thank you God
for everything
Thank you God
for believing in you
You made dreams for us
Our dreams come true
You made the world for us
You look after us
You love us
Oh God your love is so wonderful
Oh wonderful
It’s so high
We can’t get over it
It’s so deep
We can’t get under it
It’s so wide
We can’t get around it
Oh wonderful love
Some say I am ahead of my own time
My journey propelled me through the storms that one wouldn’t be able to stand
Experiences shown me the possibilities full of vision and reason
A mind that circulates the before into enter
Some fear my entrance of philosophy
Wisdom leading out
Boundaries in knowing how to get around
Bearing the storms alone
Through the fierce and mighty fortresses
Reality and courage settling in
Uncontrollable thoughts
Unseen that nobody knows
A world that doesn’t understand
My tomorrow is not Secrete, but wide open
No secret, but just expectancy
Clever tongue
Beyond one’s own imagination
My indication
Simply far out.
Crocodile lady to some seemed shady
I did not know her well, this Victorian lady
She dresses in satin and ribbons and lace
Trying to divert us from her crocodile face
I cannot get around it, it’s the first thing I see
and the teeth which are enormous, in no way wee
Her fashion sense is admirable, her teeth are in align
But I am nervous around her said my neighbor, Line.
Words left unspoken.
Feelings kept inside.
The anger and resentment just makes me cry.
I can never confront you to talk it out.
It seemed like you never wanted me around.
My mind is so cluttered with anger and grief that I can't even remember all our good memories.
I loved you i helped and I'd do it again but you were never grateful for what I did.
There was so many times I cleaned your house because I knew it was hard for you to get around.
The COPD got you it took your life and I was the one who had to watch you decline
I was the one who had to watch you take your last breath and I will never be able to get that out of my head
It was me who was there for you the day that you died I cried so much that I feel numb inside
I only have one question that will never be answered.
Did you really love me?
Did I even matter?
There are so many things that are left unspoken
And now I am bound to be forever broken
Don't you agree with me
Computers should be free
Like the air we breathe
They’re both necessities
They should last forever too
Not like if my car breaks down
I’ve got other ways to get around
But without my computer, I am through
I was born in 1793
I have a bronze sconce
For everyone to see
I get around the world scene
Much like Santa Claus
Much like Magdalene
Created in this image
I am also on the $5 bill
A Mt. Rushmorean visage
But now I must say goodbye
No more to be cast
No more to die
In each pocket that I tickle
No more keeping company
With a quarter, dime or a nickel
Because my worth is less than I cost
Read my epitaph
"A Penny For Your Thoughts"
Post Script:
In the death of me
A lonely one cent piece
Hold on tight to my memory
So don't let go of me in vain
Remember the Beatles
Remember Penny Lane
And I was hoping to relax
With this copper-toned beauty
That shored up sales tax
(Pema the Pug, 2025)
I’m retired so have the freedom to choose.
So often I choose to sit and read a book
And inevitably at least a few of my five dogs
Choose to lay around with me,
The small pugs beside and on me,
And inevitably something happens to my plans
And I get both distracted and soothed
Into a soporific daze
Or should I say, contact low, from the sleeping dogs.
Nothing like having a small warm living lap blanket
To keep you from getting up
To do something more productive.
Eventually I’ll get around to finishing that novel
After I finish these thoughts.
The dogs after all show me just how easy
And good it feels
To put off doing what can be done
Another day.
But the older I get
I think that other day may just end up being
Another life.

There was a friendly little Ghost
who wanted to Trick Or Treat --
What would he wear!? And how
to get around, no longer having
feet? Candy he loved, but floating
himself, perhaps would be a bit too
scary -- so he went to rent a
human costume, frightened the sheet
out of the store-clerk named Mary.
Used to gad about town as such in my day
but don't get around much anymore
conked out zonked out
(perchance to dream)
I prefer to remain
housebound indoors
yes it's an age-old refrain
my dogs are barking
and my best guess they may really be
completely up the wrong tree entirely
but my best bet yet feeling my years
(the weight of the world)
I'm in a slump down in the dumps
a pooch too tired to smooch
tho' stooped but healthy hale and hearty
this poor pup's too pooped to party
Forgot to wait for it
Fcking got me again
Let my guard way too far down
Didn't even see this one begin
These chemicals got us on lock
With the hardest chains to break thru
It's like I'm walkin in this haze with you
Waiting for the chaos to ensue
All it takes is a tiny little attitude
And the war stews
Explosions all around me...
I'm so confused
Didn't even know pain is my only truth
What am i supposed to do?
Apparently I have no clue...
It's a circle I can't seem to get around
Slamming my head into the corners
Of this reality
Wtf do yall want from me??
Everytime I think I'm figuring out what this life is all about
Sht gets all flipped upside down
Kuz I guess my face supposed to keep a frown
Life is pain?
Or was it love?
Both kinda work
If I don't catch the bluff..
When is enough enough?
Why is getting through this so damn rough?
When will my heart be tough enough
To know not to trust??
Like.....f*cckk
At least give me some time
To readjust
Like..I blink once..blink twice
Bam!!
Ima b*tch again
I was still on the page
Where we lovers AND best friends
Guess my pace a little too slow
...idk
Free my soulllll!!!
“The best way to treat obstacles is to use them as stepping stones.” Enid Blyton
**************************************************************
Stepping Stones to Success
In the deep depth of their dreams many souls
Aspire to reach atop a scenic hill
Whence they can eye the vista as a whole
And view the landscape of the distant fields;
But when wild woeful winds of stark failures
Rock their spirit, hurling them to the ground
It is ripe time to change their behaviour,
Time to move step by step to get around,
Time not to try to reach the sky at once
But to make every step a success tale
Time along the stairs not at once to bounce
But to learn to confront the stormy gales
And over woeful wild winds to prevail.
Every time I try to get around you
I end up strangled in lies of tungsten memories.
You're like the seal I can't break,
The song I can't take,
The bonds I long to make.
You stole the ground from underneath my feet,
And the heart that kept them standing.
What kind of a gift would a heart be
if it's not beating?
Who else am I supposed to give it to?
Who would accept it?
syrup spit in my ear
teaching me how to slide
and
she the hip hop record
out the san francisco's
out of the san francisco
hurdled dirty
exchange rates
mastering the filthy turn
broken horn memories
adjacent his new coats
he had and hadn't given
away
how he wound down towns
spendings is spring
weathers are drying deserts
behind her eyes
so depressing sad
how about some ice cubing
and she would run home
alone
just couldn't get around
to their name
Looking out the window at winter
thinking why are you so cold
why could it not be like last year
warmer and easy to get around
this year kept a lot housebound
with freezing rain then snow
making roads and sidewalks
a slippery skating rink
the cold sank into every bone
skin froze in a few moments
it was twice as cold as a fridge
so you ran in and out of buildings
hoping the car would not fail
nothing shuts down in this weather
except for highways due to icy conditions
or due to stormy conditions
the snow piled up on roof tops
and on the roads making them narrow
because there is nowhere to put the snow
our only hope is for no more snow
and want the warmth of the sun
as we wait patiently for a early spring melt.
