Friendly Little Ghost

There was a friendly little Ghost
who wanted to Trick Or Treat --
What would he wear!? And how
to get around, no longer having
feet? Candy he loved, but floating
himself, perhaps would be a bit too
scary -- so he went to rent a
human costume, frightened the sheet
out of the store-clerk named Mary.

This is indeed a fun read. I wonder how many more, this 'friendly little Ghost is going to frighten as he did with Mary!

Difficult to say. Probably been having haunting fun for 70 years or so. Thank you, Valsa.

Perhaps he even 'frightened the sheet off the clerk named Mary.' Ya never know...

Yea, that would have worked fine too. Either way is a giggle. I like the sheet out of (play on words) better though. A matter of taste...or lack of in my case. The more I think about it, your way would make it a great children's poem. Something to consider.

Hey Joe, cracked me up just like a Halloween bedtime story told by a mischievous uncle with a twinkle in his eye. That ghost’s dilemma is hilarious and oddly relatable Poor Mary! Felt like a cartoon moment frozen in verse. Autumn Blessings, Joe, Daniel
