Gumball machine you make me smile an old woman said
With your happy round balls in bright blue, yellow, pink, green and red.
Reminding me of the fifties when I thought everyone was kind.
Poodle skirts a turquoise fifty-seven Chevy, intact families in my mind.
Prayer once a priority, everyone attended some kind of church.
Those who did not were often left in the lurch.
Gumball machine, you remind me of malt shops and such.
Soda jerks and cherry Cokes, and I thank you so very much!

Words
of some cowards
can never press
some robust men to bow
like the cows
In the shadow.
Noise of some cock roosters
Can never stop some folks
To drink some cokes.
Hate of some folks
can never stop God's
Blessings.
Words
Of gods
Are useless
In the lives of followers
Of Christ Jesus.
Words
Of Christ Jesus
Are truths
Which save many folks.

The way a marriage
On the bus 8 to Garston, I met my future wife; I was going
to meet someone at the British Legion, something about
a job as a cook on a ship. At an outdoor, we bought cans of
cokes and a bottle of rum.
I thought she was the kindest woman; I had ever met.
We married, and people I didn’t like came to our reception
like my brothers-in-laws
Dreams never last on cook’s wages, awake one morn
no smell of coffee from downstairs; she had gone out
and left a note: “Get a Job, you drunken slob!”
I took a bus to Albert Dock, a ship going to Murmansk
needed a cook, I didn’t hesitate, sign on
Every morning made my own coffee and everyone else’s.
I would still like to know if she when coming back from
Garston’s shopping centre misses me.

Summer is here!
Many like cold beer,
So, listen to the sound of caps popping!
Kids playing, swimming and laughing.
Tonight's All Star Game is here!
The pizza delivery man brings food,
cokes and great cheer.
Living in the USA....no question,
is so very much more than dear!

down south we love our goobers
salt em up and set to roast
eat em by the dozens
drink em in our cokes
fix em fancy in deserts
peanut butter pie
big and small all size and sorts
eat em till the day we die
granny loves to cook em
goobers in down home green beans
adds a bit of crunchiness
to the sunday dinner scene
with newspapers set out on the floor
in front of television sets
cracking shells like walker texas ranger
does good for nothing yankee heads
buy em hot and buy em boiled
along the roadside stand
spilling goober juices
all over the cars naugahyde rotan
finger licking greasy
from out a planters can
down south we love our goobers
like you done heard me said

The family vacation,
two kids, the dog, my wife and me,
the station wagon's all packed up
but Timmy has to pee!
At last we're off, two hundred miles,
we stop at Mickey D's
"Whaddya want?," four cokes and fries,
they're all so hard to please!
Now, travelling can be a drag,
there's Mollie's travel sickness,
and Timmy with his acting out,
the wagon's such a mess!
Candy wrappers, markers, gum
still sticking to the seats,
I'm putting my foot firmly down,
"OK, kids, NO MORE TREATS!"
Another hundred miles, we stretch
and exercise old Marmaduke,
with running, jumping, food and drink
my Timmy has to puke!
Mollie cries, my wife consoles her,
gets her settled down to rest,
Timmy's resting too, God bless 'em!
children sleeping, we are blessed.
The final leg, we're all excited!
DISNEY WORLD! a world apart,
Pirates of the Carribean,
Haunted Mansion, where to start?
Here EVERYONE'S a kid, a dreamer,
fun that lasts the whole year through
'til next year when we hit the hiway,
maybe we'll be seeing YOU!

more often now
I find two cokes open
at the same time
because the reader may have to determine a definition of their own for "more often", this may be modern haiku. What do you think. The "cokes" are really not the resoning behind modern or pre modern. It's where the poem stands on it own merit or whether the readers indiviual senses determine the meaning. Rather, how each individual interprts "more often" Maybe "more often is simple ambiguous. discussion please welcome.

Before I even watched your birth,
I had already failed you first.
Collecting bones in closets damned.
To proxies labor done withstand.
Mistakes go down with Jacks and cokes.
A childhood ends in perished hopes.
The years apart we will to stand.
Regret to always catch the man.
My sorrow carving name in stone,
A Father never dies alone.

The heavenly blue of the morning sky is born
adorned with fluffy white clouds that entertains
my mind with pictures that out of the clouds
are torn.
Cool sand upon my feet, where I buried them
from the sun's heat. I take in the smell of the
salty beach, where today I find my retreat.
Creamy colored sand lays wake to the next
rushing turquoise wave, from the sea.
The Seagulls are singing their song, as all the
bronze colored tourist, put their sunblock on.
Vendor's voices echoing in the wind, Hotdogs,
Cokes and peanuts, were open from 8 til......then
another turquoise wave rolls in, bringing with it the
breeze that drowns out the voices of the vendors again.
Multi-colored towels all lined in a row, like a
beautiful rainbow laid upon the sand below.
When the day has passed and the sun sinks
below the saw grass. I can't think of a better
place to be, than down by the enchanting sea.

Last Chance,
I passed through you many times and remember you.
You sit on the Colorado Prairie east of Denver at the intersection of two, two lane highways.
In the 1880's you were a stop along the great Texas Montana Cattle Trail.
You really came into your own as a child of the post war Forty's and Fifty's automobile boom.
The say you once were a lively little town made up of gas stations, motels, cafes, a general store, two churches and several homes.
Word has it, you got your name because you were the last chance for travelers to get gas,
food and lodging on their long treks to Denver and Kansas.
In summer, travelers picked cold Cokes, Pepsis and Grape NeHi's out of your gas stations' iced filled soda chests.
In winter, hot steaming coffee flowed from the silver urns of your cafes.
It was Fords, Plymouths, and Chevrolets that created you,
and it was Interstate Highway 70 that bypassed and doomed you
to whither and slowly die.
A prairie fire in 2012 caused by the sparks of a tire blowout finished you off.
Today you are a ghost town of burnt out hulks, abandoned buildings
and distant memoires.
Oh, Last Chance.
The stories you could tell.

Crisp
Cherished Mix
A sip or two
Silky smooth
Today's taste
What a waste
Here's a toast
To a girlfriends' ghost
Alone, alone again
Never was, never been
Rum n' Cokes
Coat this throat
Chest burning fire
This desire?
A longing?
"Wrong!"
The Voice inside
"Don't miss what's gone"
Lies!
Time will tell
Let's drink for a spell
Relax, just relax
"She's never coming back"

` HONG KONG starlet YING CHOI YEE..
Which is that flat?
What and where are you that you come from.
What breed? Are you weaned? I am breadwinner only I might. How about you our beloved witch YING CHOI YEE?
Put a smile on face to please. All are moneys ease as you can look so good and lewd on bed or life. Can defended are likely none. Claimants that represent HONG KONG government play a prank and joke in court.
Signs and seeing views of policeman witness just is not queen evidence this time. Who then can prove that she dispose a bag of cocaine away from her car windows.
Who is triad?
What is coke?
Singer also starlet goes up smiling face to please her nabob friend. Seemingly she must please them with sexes and cokes.
Look so good this ways are something bad.
Friend of she as this is very eminent business men and building landlord keeping many flats.
Which is that flat?
Where you come from?
Ways of made argots is not such as only those for cow.
Those are words from me that use to calm you down with much their wants.
